Grim327 said One question I need answered before I give my interest, though im probably blind and didnt read it. Anyway, which kind of rules are we using? I never cared for these newer rules (synchro-summon, etc.) The original rules were nice and simple. Just something I need clearing up

We'll be using up-to-date rules. I'll stick a hider at the bottom of this post as a quick cover of what's what, though there's no reason you can't win with an old-fashioned deck. Part of me thinks that was the objective of these Pendulum monsters, to be honest :P

VarionusNW said will duels be done on here, or in another program, such as dueling network, or devpro?@Grim- if you read, it is stated about turbo duels (gen 3 style duels) so we may be using gen 3 to current rules. I personally prefer the complex, fleshed out game that it is now, rather than the slow, old version.

As Roxas said, it would be easiest to do duels here on RPG, since this RP is allowing custom cards provided they're not crazy broken like DWs or Heraldics. Unless somebody here happens to know how to script YGOPro cards and would be willing to take our cards on, that's the only solution I see ^_^

Watch you already know all this and I just wasted a good ten minutes of my life, lol.
Also, we seem to have a fair bit of interest. I'll get working on an OOC probably today.
EDIT: It looks like crap at the moment, but we have a thread
bump?
I guess the first thing to do would be to put up that CS I promised.
Welcome to Anima City, the bustling metropolis home to a great many things. New and veteran duelists alike could benefit from a round against the DuelBots of the local Duel Simulator, or Turbo Duelists could take to the aptly-named Speed Highway to challenge others of their kind. Whatever your dueling needs, Anima City has it. It's also a place for plenty of local conspiracy theories.

Specifically, recent rumor around town is that the current CEO of G-Chronus Timepieces is using the company's new Duel Disk to harvest energy and turn otherwise-lifeless playing cards into real life monsters, though no theories state his intentions. While he himself admits that one of his main goals is to study such phenomena as spirit partners and the heart of the cards using internal trackers on the batteries of these Duel Disks, he says the fascination ends as fascination. At the Anima Duel Stadium - a massive dome in the dead center of the city - the CEO in question is hosting another Duel Monsters tournament; something he's been doing a lot lately. And the entrants?

That's where you come in. For whatever reason, be it personal or not, you've signed up for the second annual G-Clock Open, using one of the Duel Disks provided by G-Chronus Timepieces as per the tournament's rules. Grab your Duel Disk, shuffle your deck, and win this together with your spirit partner!

The RP itself still needs some details figured out, but there's enough figured out to that I could post this interest check. Three phenomena which I've observed occur in every series (spirit partners, heart of the cards, some monsters having their own level of being real instead of just a card) will play important parts in this RP. This is the part where I ask if anybody reading this would be interested in such an RP. So how about it? :)
Oh, hi. Did somebody say Madoka 1x1s?
And modern fantasy with more out-there races? You, good ma'am, have good taste :3

If you wouldn't object to one or the other, or even trying to do both at once, I'd be happy to take a shot as well.
Major Ursa said This early on...so long as you edit your post, you can change your character race, sure...

It shall be done. Because no human dislikes snake tails.

EDIT: Post 300!

EDIT2: CS is done.
I've met worse procrastinators. I'll actually procrastinate my procrastinating.

Also, don't suppose you'd object to me swapping out my dullahan for a lamia? (since Aeron hasn't done anything yet, otherwise I'd not ask)
For the most part, eternal life isn't all it's cracked up to be. Indeed, you will remain ageless while all those around you - your friends, family, and everything you love - gets old and eventually dies. But as with any rule, there are exceptions.

There are no doubt some people who would happily accept this burden, making the most of it. These would typically be people who don't have any loved ones to lose (or exceptionally few) nor any particular attachment to anyone or anything. Even I'm thinking such people wouldn't exist, but there are 7-billion of us and our population, unfortunately, is constantly increasing. Somewhere, such a person would exist. It would come to the question of what they would do with their eternal life. Love is clearly out of the question (and like that, I bow humbly from eternal life) as are any strong forms of emotional attachment. As the years passed, this immortal would retain the knowledge of his/her age and ones yet to come. They could do anything with their lifetimes of knowledge. And I mean anything. Conquering warmonger who becomes an everlasting dictator of the world? Why not? Perhaps they could become a wise guru-type person instead, passing their wisdom down from their time to the future. Or maybe they'll just run a bar for all time or something like that ^_^;

In summary, the concept of eternal life is currently that and only that. A concept. As such, you would probably get different answers from each person you asked, since despite our staggering world population, no two humans think exactly the same. I myself would not take eternal life, but that doesn't mean I don't want to live forever. I'd like very much to live forever, just not as I am ^_^ but more to your question. Were it me given the choice to remain with a mortal or leave them, I would stay. Just because a person dies doesn't mean they're gone, if that makes sense. In fact, my grandmother's birthday was just yesterday. She may not have been able to properly celebrate it, currently being a pile of ashes in a black box above the kitchen sink, but a person isn't truly dead until there are no more people in this world who would care to remember them. To quote one of my favorite songs to this day:
Megadeth said Smile when you think of me. My body's gone, that's all.
I saw "Foster's" and "Dystopian" in the same thread and immediately went "...yes."
Then I read the plot and that "YES!" went to a "sure." Still pretty interested, though. I don't entirely get it (this is why I don't read int. checks before noon, lol) but it sounds good enough that I would love to get in on this. I'll start working out a character and friend right away. Whether the friend will be my chara's or not is yet to be known :P
