Cool cool.
So I can finally make my presence known.

Ladies and gentlemen ... I am Iron Ma... wait, Super Girl.
Name: Lara Kent
Alias: Supergirl
Age: 20
Personality: quirky, emotional, childish, optimistic.
Archetype: Half-alien
Powers:
- Flight (still working on those landings)
- Superhuman strength, endurance and speed.
- Super hearing is but a fracture of its full potential.
- Still trying to figure out the x-ray. And heat vision sort of comes and goes and has a mind of its own.
- Tactile telekinesis. The ability to enhance the powers of her Kryptonian heritage. Whether it’s her strength or speed, she can boost her own philology and abilities. Besides that, she has also been able to create forcefields around people and objects, as well as lift things with her mind. However, this particular capability has also been known to mysteriously fail in certain instances.

Weaknesses:
Kryptonite. It will leave her much more vulnerable. And yet: Since Lara’s only half Kryptonian, it does not have the same crippling effect on her, as it does her farther.

Appearance:

Character Evolution: Lara will be someone with an identity crisis, as she was someone who felt normal, but then felt pressured to be something else in order to help the world. She’s on a journey from super powered to superhero. Girl to woman. Accepting that other side of her. She'll make mistakes (super powered mistakes, as well as personal mistakes) and learn from them. She'll have fears confirmed and doubt, if she’s even doing the right thing, yet also gain confidence in the process. Maybe even a sort of rivalry with Solara. And maybe that blossoms into a friendship, maybe it really won’t. In time, maybe the whole world will regard Lara as a treasure.

BRIEF Bio:
Lara’s birth was long and difficult. In fact, doctors weren't even sure Lois Lane was going to make it. For the first time ever, the Man of Steel was helpless to save the woman he loved. Yet in the end she pulled through and gave them both a beautiful, little girl.
There was no disagreement on how they should raise her: First they taught Lara to be human. Then they taught her to be super. This initiative carried over to her teen years, as she would go to great lengths just to feel like everyone else. Though her parents did their best to teach her to respect, but not fear her powers, they ultimately failed. Even though the human side of her meant she never quit reached her father’s level, she feared her powers. That’s why Lara has never let loose, and only trained her powers in order to control them. Because of it, she has yet to realize her own limits.
Her telekinesis, and how she was able to develop it, was a mystery to everyone. In time, everyone came to accept that there was no other explanation than the conditions were right and it happened. It stands as proof that even after aliens have visited Earth there’s still some mystery left. Lara Kent is simply a force that just is.
Like her farther, she can wear nice outfits and still not be afraid to get her hands dirty. And like her mother, she can enjoy the simple things in life.
Though really smart, she never had many friends. It was as if everyone knew she was a little different. Her occasional awkward behavior reflects her lack of social skills, but then again: Sometimes her one-liners are spot on.

When the need arrived for the Justice League to expand, Lois would not even let Clark talk to Lara about it. Their daughter had chosen another path. Yet, when Lara found out about it anyway, she shortly thereafter threw aside all dreams and desires to live a normal life. A choice that caused her great dread, though for now, only her mother seem to notice.
This was a whole new world for Lara. One where she was still just a girl. Still a super one at that. A Supergirl.

Notes: Yes, I know Lara is supposed to be the daughter of Wonder Woman or imaginary. But not here! :p

Sample Post:
“You have to be sure, this is what you want. No one wants to pressure you,” Lois said and watched her daughter nod cautiously, while she tightened a bolt on her bicycle.

“Well, dad seem very eager for me to do it,” Lara pointed out and kept turning.

“Yes, a bit too often, he has got his head in the clouds, if you ask me, sweetheart. But he always swoops back down eventually and sees the bigger picture.”

“So just because I’ve got… powers… don’t mean I have to go out there and be a hero?”

Lois’ answer came without a moment’s pause: “Oh yes, you do! Very much. Everyone should. However, you need to find out what being a hero means to you. And once you find out… never compromise. Not even for a second.”

Through the living room window Lara noticed the TV was still on.
The horrible images of a sooted wreckage were projected onto it while a reporter spoke. With his grief showing, he described the horrible fire that had costed the lives of an entire family.
Lara closed her eyes and for a while she just stood there like a statue.
Then the remaining bolts started to shake. The bike vibrated and the wind changed direction, if only for a few moments.
“… Tell dad: I wanna do it.”

There he stood. The black tank-top. Veins as tick as rope. Bane’s worn-out mask showed neither emotion or humanity. Only the cold gaze of death and it was fixed on someone. The mercenary called Nuke.
He had joined the part and was heading straight for Bane. Dodged ever single goon in his way. Made a run, then a jump, but was stopped immediately when he reached his opponent. Maybe the guy had aimed for a sucker punch or hoped Bane would play along. Whatever the case Bane had been smarter, moving to the side and grabbing him by the throat.

Batwoman had realized the error of her ally’s approach even before he moved. Yet when Bane raised him up, she still felt that old familiar pain of losing a buddy.

There was a cracking sound, even with everything that was going on, and then there was nothing.

All Batwoman's energy, all her sorrow, she turned into focus, when she approached. In that moment, she knew she could take on the whole room, all by herself, but strangely none of the gorillas made even the slightest attempt to block her path. Just ran right past her while she marched forward.
The second Batwoman entered the ring they started circling each other. It was as if everything outside didn’t exist at all. All the sounds, all the racket was gone.
All she heard was the sound of her own heartbeat. This would be the fight of her life, and one wrong step could be the end for her.

“And who are you supposed to be, Batgirl 2.0?” Bane asked crossing his arms, which only flexed his muscles further.

“Do I look like a girl to you?”

“No. No, you do not. A shame we’ve never run into each other. A clear mistake on my part, but I will tell you this only once: Tonight is not a good time to challenge me.”

“It going to get worse before it gets better. Besides your boy, Trogg, already told us quite a lot of embarrassing things about you. Perhaps your master plan is not as bulletproof as you might think.”

It was hard to know what Bane was feeling underneath the mask, yet based on his body language that last line struck a nerve.

Finally. A crack in the armor…

Bane threw a punch that could very well have cracked her skull open. Yet she just moved out of reach, and succeeded in making it look easy, though nothing could be further from the truth.
Batwoman followed up actually taking a step closer to the mountain of muscle, as she knew she would have to tenderize the meat a little more, before cutting it out.

“Trogg confirmed to me, what everyone already knows,” she taunted. “You’re nothing without the Venom. And you know it, don’t you?”
With graceful movements, she moved around in the ring fast enough to keep out of harm’s way, while Bane delivered a forward kick. He continued with, what on the outside looked like basic punches, but Batwoman could feel a powerful gust behind each swing, and still she kept going.
“Without it, you wouldn’t last two seconds against me, big guy. You know that, don’t know? I’m better than you. We are all better than you. Your victories never belonged to you.”
She managed to stay on the outside and dodge, roll and duck further attacks.
The fury of Bane was immeasurable and the way he moved seemed out of this world.
Just as she was cornered she used the ropes to spring up and make a flip above him. That’s when his speed surprised her and he grabbed her by the angle and slammed her into the ground. Hardly had she time to recover before he delivered a steady kick that left her moaning in pain. He seized her by the throat and raised her into the air while twisting her left arm, so it felt like it was going to break.

“It won’t work,” Bane rather calmly said to her.

“What?”

“You trying to make me angry so I’ll make a mistake.”

Batwoman struggled just to breath, and yet she managed to make a coherent sentence while facing him. “Oh, I’m disappointed, Bane-train. You missed how I’m tiring you out, and making you reveal your best moves to me. But… mostly… you missed this part.” And with those words she used her free hand to grab the Venom controller on his wrist and turned.

Nothing happened. The handle didn’t move an inch. It was as welded together with the rest.

“Hoping to give me an overdose? That won’t work. You see I learn from my mistakes, and it takes considerable more strength to operate my Venom now. Strength I have…” He squeezed her further and whispered in her ear: “… And you don’t.”
With those words, he threw her from the ring, and she only just got out of the way when he smashed down where her head had been a second ago. The collision shook the ground like an earthquake from where she was lying, and she did not stay down any longer than she had to. When Bane did a haymaker, it was right into her fist holding a batarang like a knife. Though her hand was swung backwards by the enormous force, the sharp metal stayed buried halfway into his hand. She used his outcry and surprise to go in with a punch herself, but he saw it and caught it right next to his face.
“Predictable and weak. It’s a shame you came here wounded. It would be a pleasure to-“
Bane was interrupted when she opened her palm and revealed a flashbang. Its immense light left him blinded and open for her to unleash some brutal punishment to his throat.
Every time he felt a new blow the flashbang shined again like clockwork and made him unable to open his eyes. By the sixth punch his torment was starting to show.
So now dead?
<Snipped quote by Member 00492>That reminds me, you might have guessed it from the speech he gave that Batwoman referred to as a mental break down Guardian won't be around for any missions after the defeat of Bane.

I'll have another character. Thinking Catwoman, unless you have reasons. Maybe Huntress, again unless you have reasons. Might go with someone totally different.

Nice! Those 2 are also some great characters.

If a clumsy, still-learning Supergirl ever gets available, I would sure love to rp her too, along side Batwoman of course.
@Unknown100He's probably still at the diner unless a good part of time has passed. He's passively waiting for leads to show up. If you guys really want to see more of him he could be watching the news or something along those lines. Usually when he does his work it's a quick matter to find the guy and gun him down in some sort of fashion this isn't his usual MO so he's just kind of waiting.

Well, let us hear a brief description of what your character is doing 😉

Besides, we can only post after two others have done so in this rp.
@vancexentan can we hear what your character is doing?
He's a good and different character from the rest.

Yeah, I probably just misunderstood :)

Edit: And should have formulated it in a PM...
