Yesterday was my last day at my old job and I start my new one on Tuesday next week. Frustrating as it was(we had some problems), I was still coming up with a character design and story for this.
Vance gave Nëis a small nod in thanks for answering his question as he boarded the ship, unknowingly walking behind the captain. He stopped for a moment, looking over to Nëis and Ignia, who started talking, giving the woman a warm smile before going below deck to get to know the rest of the crew.

As he passed the sleeping quarters, he assumed that was where the servants would be bedding, he couldn't help but over hear them talking "Yup, my name is Azren!" After that, the talking didn't seem to stop from that one. He wasn't one to be easily annoyed but he knew that this might go on for a while. He gave a glance their way as he made his way to the kitchen.

"I don't suppose any of you know how to cook an edible meal?" He overheard the captain say as he entered the kitchen. He watched the one who called himself "Arren" get right to work. "Right to work, what a good servant" he thought to himself, unknown to him that the 'servants' sleeping quarters would also he his, and that the work that needed to be done while on the ship would be his to do as well.

Grabbing an onion from the counter, he walked a bit away from the others. With a quick hand gesture, he tossed the onion into the air behind him, keeping in mind everyone's position so no one got hurt. He quickly unsheathed his rapier, turned and sliced the onion in half, grabbing the dagger from his belt, he threw it into one half of the onion and it stuck into the wall next to the stove. Using the tip of his rapier for the rest of his display, he cut the other half, which was quickly falling, into quarters and with two quick thrusts speared them onto the tip of his sword with near perfect accuracy, hitting the middle of each piece. His stance was that of a professional swordsman, obviously well trained in the art of fencing.

After giving a proper salute, he walked over, pulling his dagger out of the wall with the onion still attached and placed it on the warming stove. He raised his blade to his face, taking a bite out of the pieces of onion that were still attached with a smirk on his face. He was impressed with himself. After clearing his sword of the food, he re-sheathed it, along with the dagger in his belt.

"Vance Meridian, at your service" he said with a slight bow to the one also dressed in a nobles clothes. He could only assume that he was addressing the captain.
Ok, I fixed the link to the 2nd picture.
As far as the neko features,

Are they humans who have cat ears/tails/features?

Do they have furry/padded hands and feet(with claws, as mentioned, or just long sharp nails)

or full furry?

Edit: It is incredibly hard to find cat girl or furry pictures which are appropriate and non-sexual. I'm rather proud of myself ^^
My first post will likely be my only one until Sunday evening(or possibly morning, if I can find the time). I will catch up accordingly when I return.(future mother-in-law is coming for a visit... yaaaaay -.-; )
One potential problem is that if we are only controlling one human or one neko, the balance issue of not enough of one side or the other unless we have npc partners but that might get boring. I would rather be playing with someone else rather than an npc of my own creation.

I am interested in this and I'm not trying to poke holes in your ideas. I'm just voicing my concerns.
Interesting idea, but I do have a few questions.

When the human enters the town, a crystal is created, but what happens? Does it manifest and the human keeps it until he falls in love, or is it given to 'the one' upon creation and they have to find each other?

You mentioned weapons, defense, and magic. Are we defending this town from something or someone? Do we create our own enemies(or evil) to defeat? I can't imagine something happening to a precious jewel in the humdrum of everyday life around town.

Collars. Do humans enter town with one, or are they purchased or already owned by the neko and humans just attach their jewels to it? From what you wrote it seems like collars are more of an engagement gift from a human to a neko.
Vance Meridian, a well dressed nobleman of Ceirn, could hear the creaking of boats as they floated in the harbor. As he approached the docks the sound changed to his boots hitting the wooden docks repeatedly. He had a rapier sheathed on his left hip, a small dagger on his right hip and he was carrying a brown pack that was slung across his chest to his back.

He approached the ship that the crew had already boarded, noticing that he passed a well-dressed man speaking to someone who had several dogs with him, not realizing that this was the captain of the vessel he was approaching. He stayed on the dock as he looked to the deck of the ship, noticing a woman with fiery red hair who seemed to be praying and wondered what she could be praying for.

Vance looked over to the other one who was on the deck, Nëis, and called out to him. "Sir, I say, will this ship be departing shortly?" he asked in a rather posh tone, nearly calling out his ignorance to ships, or a seaman's manners, or lack thereof. He was a nobleman after all and he didn't know the first thing about ships, or the mannerisms of seamen. He saw this as an opportunity to get away from what he'd always known and learn something new. He was also ignorant to the chance that this could possibly, and easily, kill him. One thing he was used to was dealing with criminals, especially those that mistreated women. He was still curious about the red haired woman, and the thought did cross his mind that him boarding the ship might possibly be the answer to her prayers. That thought put a small smirk on his face as he awaited a reply.
I'm on Central time.
Sadly, time isn't a luxury I have tonight. I hope I can catch up tomorrow.
