From my limited experience... It could really be anything... Maybe a monster... Maybe a person... Maybe a spirit... Or it could be the artifact we're looking for. But I find the last part highly unlikely.

Yup a treasure hunt.

*We come to the clearing where the ground is sunken and the stones are arranged in a circular formation. It seems to be the remains of an old tower. The stones are covered in moss and the path is made up of loose gravel*
