There was a thing like this back on my old world... Places marked with such sadness and hate that the spirits and feelings lingered as a wound in the world. Going through them, people would hallucinate and lose themselves in the miasma of the past. It works a little differently here... I think... And this is just conjecture... But whoever's still lingering here suffered so much and left a wound on this land...

Destroying the place would be tactless... I know where you're coming from. If we just remove the source of the pain then it'd be fine. But I think this person just wants recognition... Someone to remember... Someone to piece together the story... Someone to make this place a home again. Otherwise, it'd tell us to just level this place. But that's just my conjecture.

Honestly... I don't think it'll do anything... I don't particularly think the shadows are hers. I think this place is like a scar... I can feel it, everything here is radiating a bad vibe... Dread, sorrow, despair, sadness.
