I understood that they were physical beings but I thought part of their reincarnation process was taking over someone else's body? That was what I meant by 'preferred form', picking someone that fits with what he normally looks like.

Oh, yes, you're quite correct in that regard. But by taking over a mortal's body, it's morphed into their own shape. If a dragon Child reincarnated, for example, the unfortunate mortal would slowly sprout wings and grow scales.

Picking a physically similar host would accelerate things greatly though.

Waiting for these next few CS's, then I'll do the next plot post

Hey, your words, not mine. :P
@The Grey Dust

Your sheet's fine, but for everyone else, please post your WIP in this OOC or message me before putting it in the character tab, so I can moderate them.

@Roosan

I feel like I should clarify something else: The Children are physical beings, at least when alive. They can't pick and chose which physical form they prefer, which both your sheets seem to hint at. It's probably just innocent wording, but let's nip this potential confusion in the bud right now: unless shape shifting is explicitly part of your character's "thing", they're stuck in a single form, for better or worse.
Kingfisher was going to move things forward, wasn't he?
@Vahir

So, another question;

Are multiple characters allowed? I'm thinking about two.

I don't see why not.

@Roosan

Your sheet is perfect, go ahead and put it in the character tab.
@Vahir
So how long have the Children been in the pit? I was assuming my character was thrown in somewhere during the war (though he wasn't really on either side) so is that 1000 years? 8000?

I'm almost done with my sheet apart from that.

This RP starts 1112 years after the Angels were betrayed, at the end of the War. So at least that long. (I should probably put up a timeline, huh.)

Also: I amended the character sheet template to add an "Angel or demon" section. It boils down to whether you were forcibly imprisoned in the Pit or betrayed.
Seems good. But I would add that by the time Eyra reached the tower, the Devoted had dwindled to almost nothing, given that almost 800 years had passed since they'd last been in contact with their Supreme Leader. The remainders would have fought the etruscan expedition with the fury of a bygone age.

Bringing down the tower is something Eyra would never be able to do, even in her prime, and she was definitely not in it when she reached the desert. Anyway, she would see no reason to. She'd steal everything that wasn't nailed down, ship it to her vault in Analos, and seal off the Tower with a boulder or something.
Would the tower and the Devoted still be around in the present day? Or was it abandoned over the last thousand years?
@Vahir

What is the technology level? Like, steampunk, futuristic or medieval, or what?

Post-renaissance - basically, 1700. Pikes and swords are still around, although muskets are pretty common, and the republican armies have recently started adopting thin line formations. The economy is still based on guilds and such. Canals are all the rage as the Republic tries to improve trade.

The world isn't in the industrial age yet, but it's getting there.
