Awww! sorry to see you go.

I guess from this point on, I'll be controlling Gideon.
The group is actually still in the entrance hall area. Anne was peering through a doorway when it was mentioned there was a kitchen. Do you want me to edit my post so that you can properly send Gideon into the kitchen?
Outside, the wind slowly began to calm down. The howling of the wind and the rustling of the corn soon faded away, and they were in complete silence. All they could hear was their own breathing. Anne shivered. They were going to stay here? All night? She glanced back at the window. She was definitely not going to wander around in the middle of the night. She sighed and walked over towards the dresser, twirling a strand of hair around her finger as she quietly waited for anything to happen.

Gideon wandered over to the doorway that Anne had pointed out. He adjusted his glasses and squinted at the dark room. Yep, it was the kitchen. Without a word, he stepped inside and looked around in the dim lighting. Two of the walls were lined by cabinets and counters. He walked over to the counters and started shifting through the drawers. Many of them were filled with miscellaneous kitchen items. Nothing that interested him.
He stopped when he came to a drawer filled with kitchen utensils. He lifted a knife out of the drawer and studied it. It was a decent size, it would have to do. He stuck it under his belt and headed back to the rest. He wasn't sure how much good it would do, but it certainly made him feel better.
Amber scoffed. Renzo didn't think she could take care of herself. She was perfectly capable of handling the danger! She considered running after him, but for once she decided not to. She really wanted to, but they were in real danger. She couldn't risk the others like that.

"Klondike," She glanced at him as she said his name. She glared at him briefly, then her expressions softened, "What now? Should we tell them about the cave?"
"I-I don't think there's anyone here. It's all so... dusty." Anne said. "It looks abandoned."

She cautiously wandered over to one of the doorways and peered inside the room. The weak lighting of the candle behind her didn't reach this far, but she could barely see a kitchen. "Hey, I think this is the kitchen in here!" She announced. She quickly stepped away from the dark kitchen and turned around. She glanced up at the window high on the wall. The dim light was almost gone. There were only faint streaks of color in the nearly black sky. They had barely made it inside before night time.

"Now what?" She worriedly asked the others.
You'd probably be permanently offed for this, I'm afraid. Which does suck, I like your characters . A new character simply wouldn't make much sense. However, if you really don't want to get killed off, there's a chance the majority of the group might get away alive. There is a planned escape route.

The wind blew unexpectedly powerfully. The air filled with the sound of the rustling corn and the howling wind, but over it dominated the horrifying sound. A loud screech ringed out through the fields, a disturbing mixture of an animal and human scream.

The door slammed shut from the strong wind. The combination of the wind, the scream, and the door was too much. Anne screamed and bolted to the door. She opened the door and practically threw herself in. She clumsily bumped into Alexi on the way in. "S-Sorry!" She managed to stammer.

She gulped and looked around. It was an old fashioned building. Against one wall rested a few farming tools. There were three doorways on separate walls that lead to other parts of the house. Ahead was a stairway that lead upstairs. Above, dim light came in from a dusty old window high on the wall. On the walls were old, ugly pictures. Many of them seemed to be of a single family, possibly the owners. There was a dresser below the pictures, a dying plant resting in the middle of it.

Anne quickly faced the wall and fumbled around for a light switch. When her hand caught one, she immediately flicked it up without a thought. The light above them flickered briefly, but immediately went out. Anne frantically flicked the switch up and down multiple times before admitting defeat. "N-No lights..." She mumbled.
Alright, thanks!

Please edit your post. I'd prefer to describe the interior, and I'm in control of the creature.
Anne sped up to a timid jog. "W-Wait up!" She called after Orion. As the sounds echo'd through the corn, a few crows flew out of the fields. Anne jumped slightly at their sight, but soon calmed down. Just birds, she thought. As they approached the building, Anne noticed something quite strange.

The front door was open ajar. Nothing seemed to be around. the building was completely dark and quiet. The sight of the open door only aided in making the entire scene more eerie to Anne.
