| APPEARANCE |Due to getting his parasite around the age of 40 or so he retains much of his youthful looks than he otherwise would being a human. Disheveled black hair mops a face covered in dirt, and grime having spent most of his time fighting for survival. His skin while usually covered in grime is slightly tanned white. He typically wears a protective ballistics body armor covering over a black tank top with a leather jacket covering his shoulders. He wears a pair of aviator styled black sunglasses that cover his eyes. He is rather tall at 6'3 but otherwise his build is not distinctively different from other stronger revenants like himself who prefer power over agility. His own mask is something of military grade style a holdback from his time fighting for survival. Around his neck is a number of dog tags of which the names have faded away. He no longer knows why he keeps them maybe as a reminder.
| PERSONALITY |Loud, rude, vulgar, and rather prone to violence the man who was once John Grey is nothing but a hazy feeling. While music is still his passion, and his heart's desire John no longer typically plays anymore despite owning a somewhat functioning guitar of his own salvaged from some house or another in the destroyed city. In a world so devoid of people who cares to listen he feels it pointless self pandering to play to himself. He wants to make use of himself hoping to find some sort of solace in his current hell that is the cataclysmic events unfolding around him still years later. He doesn't remember if he was ever more 'full of life' than he is now but he seems to have lost all care for the matter. Survival is the name of the game now, and he embraces it with no authority to rebel against he just seems the Lost as his new enemy. Underneath that self loathing, and drinking habits though is still a respect for people who want to live free. He hates the concept of having a 'collar around his neck', and hates other revenants who have started to press gang others into service against their will. Overall his core concepts remain despite being a shade of a human. Grey still loves booze, women, thrills, and destroying snobs who think they're better than himself. But he still holds something of the dreamer who use to think freedom, and the will to make something of yourself.
| BLOOD CODE |Type AB - John's own mastery of his code is rather rudimentary but functional enough that he can use it effectively. Whatever depths is hidden in the blood code is currently a mystery but so far he has only deemed it necessary that he use the part of it that enhances his overall physical nature. The blood code gives him overwhelming physical strength at the cost of range. It empowers his body allowing him to sprint slightly faster but its prime feature is its increase to his health, and its ability to allow him to hit harder. But its ability to strike out at a range is near non-existent in its current form. John theorizes that he could perhaps use some of the power to strengthen the impact of guns but he hasn't tried. His code's color is a dark yellow.
| BACKGROUND |What is it like to live a life of chaos, and despair? John wouldn't know he has lived his entire life, as a revenant, and as a individual under the mantra of 'freedom'. He remembers life moving from one area to another fighting, killing, destroying to the point where it all became a blur. Lost loves, and nights of passion not withstanding John Grey seems more interested, and intent on keeping the chains moving because he's afraid of what happens when he finally is forced to stop. He remembers having teams, of which he can no longer recall their names, he remembers parties to which he doesn't know their significance. From one place to another John sought after trying to find a place where he belonged, and had a steady supply of booze, at one point having raised his own gang called the silver fingers that all died months ago. Having most of his life become a blur, and a failure it wouldn't be hard to call John a complete failure if not for the fact the he has had an unnerving knack of getting of places alive. Proving to be tremendously hard to kill survival has been something he is very proud of. He has been known to help out trapped humans, and revenants when the situation has arisen but it seems to depend on person to person on who he helps. Their spirit, and how they handled themselves in what appeared to be their last moments. John respects the survivor, and the doesn't mind the frightened but he has in the past rejected helping those who have given up, and those who have thrown their comrades into the mouth of the beast to try and get away. Still in this city that is burning John survives himself leaving a trail of carnage. Not all of which was caused by him.
| SKILLS / EQUIPMENT |John knows how to use swords, axes, guns (mostly rifles and pistols), and knows how to comfortably manuever in light, and heavy armor after years of having to salvage and use both. He prefers the heavier variants of both weapons and armor feeling to clumsy with lighter weapons though he can use them. On a non combative note he is able to treat wounds though with difficulty as he is not trained doctor, and is able to play music.
| LIMITATIONS AND WEAKNESSES |True ranged mastery he fails to consistent hit things longer than what most people would consider mid range, he is for all intents and purposes a carnage machine at close ranges and a wildly inaccurate shot at long range. Clumsy, his overwhelming physical power comes at the cost of being most of his attacks being power attacks leaving him open to taking hits if he misses an attempt at a big hit. This also extends to his agility where he is very much not a parkour style fighter. Speed. While due to his blood code he can excel at getting faster in brief increments, those who use light armor, and quick weapons can outspeed him with a similar skill set. Sacrificing his ability to be truly mobile is what came at the cost of being able to carve most things in half with one or two blows.
