@Omni5876 Cole is under the impression that if he doesn't get a decent following soon people will start thinking he's weaker than the spear, and bow. That is a killer to his confidence level. He doesn't not believer Fer so much as while he's leading Fer still is older, and seems to have carried favor with both of the individuals who seemingly will be long time allies. Its the concept if Fer leaves he'll basically be on his own. So while they're following Cole they're still technically their own party, if Rivia officially joins Fer, while Cole until Edusa joined him would've been travelling off to god knows where by himself if he couldn't get Marcino to help who also is giving info to the spear, and bow.

As for absorbing magic I don't think so until Fer kills something that can and puts the components into his shield like Naofumi does. If he wants to learn magic he can do so quickly after the brief 5 day timeskip i'll be doing soon, assuming no one wants to dog the king, rin, cole, the nobles, or edusa/shay. The shield hero is made directly to debuff enemies, or shield allies. He can heal, chain up enemies, and otherwise protect/hinder individuals anything Naofumi does and you can provide solid evidence to that Fer can learn to do in the given time Fer can do as well.

Edit: Also i'm not sure if you remember but Auriel officially swore herself to the service of the shield at the start.

"Alright enough of all this nonsense. Shay mind fixing the Sword Hero up?" says a voice from across the room as a young girl with green hair prances forward her loose fitting robes moving to and fro as she suddenly walks past Ferr without a word and walks up to Cole. "Ew...that's a nasty spell alright off with it." she says clapping her hands loudly as she summons a spell circle around the two. "In the grace of the Four Heroes I call upon my magic. Cleanse Curse!" she says loudly as the spell engulfs Cole as the wave of nausea coming off of his body cleanses he blinks in quick rapid succession. He looks down at the small green haired girl called Shay apparently. "Well I guess that saves Nina the trouble of doing it. Alright I'm going to the god damn tower if you dumbasses want to berate me there go ahead." Rin says as begins to walk away from Cole not bothering with apologizes as she turns her back to the shield. "And don't worry even at my worst I'm probably better at murdering monsters than you'll ever be blunt head." Rin retorts to Fer as she walks towards the door escorted by the guards.

Cole felt conflicted he had chosen not to retaliate more than he had at Rin. He already caused one hole, and he figured bad mouthing her would cause even more tension. She took him more seriously than Fer it seemed and so did the king if his comments to Fer would be believed. But he knew that the shield would solve that problem over time. "Who do I owe the pleasure of the healing?" Cole asked quick to thank his helpers. He can talk to fer in a bit once he's done consolidating with the other two. "I'm just your everyday average friend of House Melromarc! Shay Din is at your service my lord the sword!" Shay said with a big smile on her young face as a red haired girl approached. And just when he had enough with Rayla...The girl was garbed in a number of fancy clothes but her muscles more than gave off that this was not your average lady of the court. "Alright so since Vinny can't officially be seen doing much I guess I will have to after all." the girl said with a big excited grin on her face. As one of the guards approached she took his sword right from his belt and told him to relax. "I am Edusa D. Melromarc. Seventh in line to the throne, and classed fighter. IF you don't mind I'll have your back from now on. The Sword ain't alone no more." Edusa said as she suddenly knelt to the floor with the sword pommel offered to Cole.

Cole was confused very quickly by how a royal family member would offer them his services. Vincent looked openly very annoyed as he glared down at the kneeling girl in front of him. Cole couldn't read him but it wasn't disapproval more so than anxiety. Cole didn't have a choice in the matter then. He grabbed the girl's sword and took it. "Then you are now a member of the Party of the Sword." Cole said to her as he returned the blade to her and then she the guard. Edusa stood up her grin still very confident. "Heh told Ma that I would find a way to get in." comments Edusa as Shay laughs at the statement. "Well its not Missus's fault you're so violent." Shay tells her friend teasing as Edusa shrugs it off. "Violence is fun, its how you tell creeps to bug off and the world's at stake anyways. Besides the shield hero's party can't just be the only friends of the sword hero." Edusa comments more so to Cole than Shay as if explaining the situation.

"There this party is here by canceled please return to your estates and please sleep calm knowing that the Sword Hero's first official follower is of my own family's cadet branch." comments Vincent trying to quickly move on from the whole affair the guards do as he bids and start to escort the party out. "Feel bad for King V. Never asked for that you know my lords. Real handful it is. Especially with the assassination and all. He's doing good so far though. And sorry my lord I'll help when I can but i'm no traveler." Shay says as Cole notices she was not added to the party like Edusa. "My first follower..i'm happy to meet you Edusa." Cole states with a more at ease expression. "I was starting to worry no one liked me."

Persona 5 - The Devil's Parliament

The year is 20xx it has been three years since the defeat of the creator of the Palaces, and the Phantom Thieves' ultimate victory. After the events that led a certain someone to pursue everyone's happiness and the acceptance of a past reality it seemed everything in Tokyo had settled down with the arrest of the prime minister candidate's arrest. The Phantom Thieves while remaining in contact split off in many different directions. In this absence the peace remained for a time but slowly but surely the area of Tokyo has once again started to show worrying signs. Vanishing people, and rumors of corruption spreading out once more. The City of Tokyo seems to have regressed? Shadow Activity signs have sprang up in parts of the city as recorded by the Kirijo Group. In order to find out what had happened they sent some operators into the city only to find the source of the 'Palaces' as they were called by some unnamed young man who had appeared to some of the operators. Unable to truly find out what has happened the Kirijo Group has called in a allied group known as the Townsend Union, founded by an American by the name of Leo Townsend who had been working on technology to assist in fighting said shadows. The Townsend Union sent some of their own operators with special equipment preparing for the worst. Unfortunately they lost most of their team though non confirmed dead, leaving their Senior Operator a detective from Inaba by the name of Suzuki Nao, and a young combat specialist by the name of Kamiya Yori. Their ranks depleted they are now assisted by an inexperienced but talented new group. Hopefully they'll find the source of the palaces and end them.

Rules/FAQ:
1. All standard roleplay rules apply including the ban of meta gaming without consent, and god playing.
2. You must be accepted by me personally on the OOC before you can post in the IC. No exceptions to the contrary.
3. You must use a persona from your arcana if you pick a canon one (Fanon/non canon are allowed) and your character's personality must reflect at least a good chunk of your arcana. If your chosen for lovers for example you shouldn't be a self-hating loner who wants nothing but personal gain.
4. Characters ages are fine but are encouraged to be older than say 15. If you're in school age range and aren't from tokyo do explain how you've managed to get out of school duties.
5. AS GM I'm reserving the right to deny anything for any reason given. This is also extending to the chance to deny entry to people who ask to join if they have done me wrong in the past.
6. No legitimately insane individuals (talking about PC's). Don't want psychopaths murdering the rest of the party.
7. Players who don't post after a lengthy period of time without warning (notice on the OOC, or private message) are subjected to their character being removed.
8. Exchange/ foreign people are allowed but preference is towards native Japanese.
9. There will be no discord for this roleplay. I have been on this site since way before it died and came back. In that time i've completed TWO roleplays. If players make one for themselves that is up to them. If you have a personal question pm me, or comment on here.
10. I will not be playing a character myself all interactions I will make will be played by Npcs within the party. I will ask that you refrain from comparing me to them because they are not me, and I playing a role as the dm.
11. You may choose to either summon your mask in the style of the phantom thieves, or the Persona 3 cast with their weapons of choice.
12. You may start with your persona awakened, or not I lean towards the former note that the latter will mean you will be playing support until you either work up the courage to shoot yourself, or face your rebel spirit.
13: This will be a mostly 60/40 split on rp to combat there will be no stats for combat.

Side note: All players are still capable of using their weapons and can rely on their own martial skill rather than their persona should the need arise. Assuming they're trained. Non-trained people can use simple weapons like pipes and such. There is no lock on a weapon style being unique to one person so multiple people can say use swords.
