Are there other continents beyond the storms out at the sea? Is one of the Gods was actively keeping sailors from the far lands out?

I've read the overview story. Is this land still a chunk of rock floating in space, circled by water, or is it an actual planet with planet-like qualities?

So I haven't read any of the CS sheets, but depending on what I see, I might play as a Knight + Squire combo.
It'd depend on how I can feasibly get them to join up with everyone else. If not, I can always scrap the idea and play as a mercenary.
