Then gently, tortuously, deaths began to creep up in numbers. At first the news reported there was no need to panic, then some governments began restricting access through their borders, closing off cities and evacuated essential personnel.
Then the bombardments and fighting came, military powers sent what men and fire they could towards what they thought would become a threat after the dust settled.
However, it made no dent in the numbers who fell to illness and disease alone.
The experiments and kidnappings you speak of are only a rumor, as it stands now in the RP.
However, there will have certainly been military presence or at least martial forces in cities all over the USA.
