Minami Yuuna.
{"How about we go somewhere for dinner? I got someone handling 'that thing' so I'm free; unless he wants his phone recording to leak to the Mafia, anyway."} Name: Minami Yuuna.
Codename: Artemis.
Age: 23.
Birthday: 18th of June.
Nationality: Japanese.
Birthplace: Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
Gender: Female.
Prior Employment: Publicly, Yuuna was an elite athlete representing Japan in the 400 meter sprint and the 200 meter freestyle at the Asian Games. Secretly, Yuuna was the de facto
oyabun (clan head) of a dangerous Yakuza clan operating in the Miyagi and surrounding prefectures.
Height: 5'8.
Weight: 152 pounds.
Build: Athletic.
Eyes: Hazel.
Hair: Dark brown.
Skin Tone: Somewhat pale and of an eastern aesthetic.
Tattoos/Scars/Piercings: She has an elaborate, traditionally-delivered 'body suit' of Yakuza-culture tattoos occupying majority of her torso, her arms down to the forearm and her legs and feet in its entirety. Of particular note, the tattoos even run behind the knee and on the opposite side of the elbow: a particularly sensitive area, especially when the tattoo is done traditionally.
Sexuality: Asexual.
Personality: In terms of the alignment chart, Yuuna would best fit into Chaotic Good. Whilst she rigorously follows the Yakuza code of honor 'ninkyo' - which places justice and duty above all and forbids allowing others to suffer - the means through which she meets the criteria of this code may quite easily be considered cruel, dishonorable or unjust in itself. Manipulation, extortion, deceit, blackmail and even murder are a few of the common tools of her trade, and she's ruthless in achieving her goals. She specifically doesn't approve of torture in accordance with ninkyo and prefers to manipulate and deceive victims that would be in order to find out what she wants to know. She's also known to be almost always calm and in control, with a cool yet oppressive air about her.
Outside of her 'professional' life - which is as much time as she can reasonably make time for provided she has something to do, such as going out for dinner - she's known to the few privileged (or perhaps burdened?) enough to see her as a relaxed woman with a somewhat dark sense of humor who cares about her friends in her own way. Whilst she's not experienced with comforting friends and family as she acts in her on-the-job mindset most of the time, she
tries when it comes down to it. It also might be of note that she's a devout follower of Shinto and takes her religion very seriously.
Likes: - Sports; specifically track and field, swimming and martial arts.
- Religious activities, such as meditation and prayer.
- Restaurants, particularly suit-and-tie.
- Most brews, such as coffee and tea.
- Thrillers (genre).

Dislikes: - Compassion to the point of hindrance; she strives to keep it pragmatic.
- Idle activity, or otherwise having nothing to do.
- Violations of ninkyo.
- Reality Television.
- Alcohol.
Fears: - Being demoted or fired.
- Financial instability.
- Failure.
History: Minami Yuuna was born and raised in Sendai in the Miyagi Prefecture of Japan, where her family held their office as head of a renowed yakuza clan. She was the first child of her parents and for a time was the heir to the office of oyabun before nearly 2 years after her own birth a brother was born who in turn became the heir apparent. At the time she wasn't old enough to understand what this meant, let alone how to speak a sentence or perform basic math. When she was informed on the situation as a pre-teen she didn't mind at all - she was a compassionate child and she loved her brother so; it was about this time her father began gradually teaching her how things worked in the Yakuza and what would be expected of her. By the time she was a teenager this education was in full swing.
Throughout her elementary years Yuuna was homeschooled by her mother and grandparents but as she became a teenager, the daughter of the head of an influential yakuza clan, Yuuna attended the most prestigious and successful school in the prefecture: none other than Yamaku Academy. As she grew into her teenager years she became more ruthless and less compassionate, gradually shaping into what she is today; regardless of this she treated most of her teachers, seniors and peers with the utmost respect; there are those who targeted her but they played an important role of shaping her skills in intrigue. As result of her nature, her family name and the expectations set on her, she excelled in all things in her adolescence: she consistently achieved high grades, volunteered at the local shrine and above all, lead the school district in sports.
Through her success in high school she was selected for the Japanese National team for the Asian Games, where she then graduated school and became a full time athlete. Regretfully, her brother became something of a gluten and a sloth once he came of age. When her father grew too elderly to command the clan and abdicated the position to her younger brother, despite the desperate advice of his council, the clan failed to prosper. Yuuna saw it as her duty as the former heir to see the clan prospering once again but challenging the new head of the clan would be nothing short of blasphemy; in turn, instead of directly opposing her brother she gathered the lieutenants loyal to her and had her brothers girlfriend kidnapped, murdered and set it up to look like her brother did it. She then proceeded to blackmail him, threatening to forward the conclusive evidence to the police as an anonymous tip from a known vigilante group if he didn't do as she told him. Struck by grief that his girlfriend was dead, afraid of her influence after such an act and terrified of being arrested, he reluctantly bent the knee. The killer was never found, witnesses never turned up and Yuuna established de facto leadership of the clan. Very few know about it - those few being limited to those who were loyal to her during the coup and the Public Security Intelligence Agency of Japan. Unfortunately, one of her loyal foot-soldiers was an informant.
The Public Security Intelligence Agency made a point of investigating Yuuna, seeing a chance to both close the cold case and dismantle one of the Yakuza families at the same time. They were deliberately very careful: she was a woman of caliber - educated, athlete and spymaster alike - and would have to be cautious to avoid the operation being compromised. It would just so happen that Argus would then come about which had the investigation spin on its head. Yuuna was shortlisted as a Japanese candidate for Argus and eventually came to be interviewed, tested and later offered the job. After due consideration, seeing it as the ultimate use of her skills and fulfillment of ninkyo, she accepted; but not after leaving her brother very detailed instructions and leaving some to watch him.
Theme Song: [Yoshida Brothers - Red Bird - Akai Tori]⚜ Respected * ☯ Neutral * ☮ Friends * ♥ Crush * ⚤ Significant Other * ☠ Enemy
- ☮Risa Couri: Risa is with little room for doubt, Yuuna's closest friend within Argus; it'd be reasonable to say they even qualify as best friends. Yuuna has great respect for Risa due to their mutual sports background, Risa's ability in martial arts as a former UN worker as well as Risa's prior career in the UN and her achievements within it; ninkyo forbids allowing others to suffer and Yuuna sees Risa as a modern fulfillment of that directive. Yuuna makes an active effort to find time to spend with Risa and enjoys her company despite the whole thing with Lucas in the background.
- ☮Elijah Craigh: Elijah and Yuuna are good friends and it's not uncommon for Yuuna and Elijah to be hanging out in the staff lounge. Yuuna sees Elijah as practical: being talented with fast cars and fighting is good, particularly within organized crime, need not mention his skill in tracking. The two classify as good friends, easily.
- ☮Len Mordikai: Despite their different career choices, Len and Yuuna get along quite well. Their methods aren't too much unalike and there's something of a mutual respect between them: Yuuna has great respect for a police officer willing to go to any length in the name of "right" and Len seems to respect Yuuna for applying her underworld skills to a good cause.
- ☮Roland Allard: Roland and Yuuna have quite a fair bit in common which naturally led to the establishment of a friendship; just to name a few, they both value loyalty and both served in a gang of some description albeit organized or otherwise.
- ☯Greta Kohler: Yuuna doesn't have much to do with Greta and doesn't have any interest in extending their relationship beyond professional associates. For Yuuna, Greta is just another coworker.
- ☠Lucas Walsh: To this day, Yuuna and Lucas have been in an ongoing feud. Lucas stands opposed to Yuuna on grounds of her status as a major criminal, her commitment to religion and her status as a murderer. Yuuna stands opposed to Lucas on grounds of his status as a petty criminal, his opposition to religion, his tendency to make 'inappropriate' jokes, for dating a co-worker and his disposition towards murder which she views as hypocritical. Lucas and Yuuna are professional enough to keep a lid on it although it has come to blows before.
