As long as the diety of death is as cool as the character Death the Endless from the Sandman comics. ;)

Despite my jest, said character is actually as useful example of how death can be portrayed both in an interesting way (as a fairly normal looking woman) and as a balancing force of good (rather than something wrong/unnatural).

Some elements of Arthurian Legend (mostly the name), mulling over the source for the rest. To begin with however, an origin in the Southern lands seems logical given the lush deltas and jungles. An association or relation with some form of Earth deity would seem fitting as well.

I have a strange relationship with sleep, I do of course love sleeping, but it bothers me that we still haven't figured out why exactly we have to sleep (there are some interesting hypothesis, but so far the question remains as far as I am aware).

One of the big starting plots here will be that this is a team of runners being assembled to start running in Seattle. So this will be a bit of a 'getting to know' each other plot in a way too. We'll be doing some runs just to acquire the equipment to get set up doing extractions and courier runs and other things, like potential paydata grabs.
