Yeah I believe that's all standard procedure. As for combat resolution, I've always been fortunate enough to play with people who accept realistic outcomes given the situation. The few stalemates I have observed were settled by the GM. Anywho, is this allowing custom races, or are the usual suspects in place?

I was thinking of directly using the Forgotten Realms wiki for the races.

All must be humanoid, and no spider pets if you're drow. That's all I require.

As far as "stats," what exactly do you consider as stats?

I will want the players to give a good estimation of their population, number of warriors, etc, and every post will be equivalent to one-month's worth of events in the game world, which is equivalent to one week's worth of events in the REAL world...

Does that sound gamey?

I'm feeling good about leading a nations RP because: I know a lot about warfare and its logistics. I'm a very politically-opinionated person.

I'd like to start a nations RP that involves strong elements of fantasy, such as fantastical races (elves, orcs, dwarves) while maintaining a very realistic feel to it (information about terrain, government systems, keeping your army fed, etc.).

I'll start working the lore and the mechanics if I get enough interests in this.
