I'm really interested in this but I see you already have a fair few players, is there room for one more? If yes I was thinking of playing a character who has enhanced senses and physical traits such as speed, agility and stamina. Would that be acceptable? If no to either or both no worries.

Faith crossed her arms and glowered at their new 'supervising agent' this Elizabeth Dalton, looking all prim and proper in her smart suit and official badge, she did not appreciate being ignored and this FBI darling had done just that. Not the best way to convince her to be all friendly and play nice, but then Dalton didn't have to, all she had to do was remind them of the stick as she called it. The little devices snuggled away inside Faith, ready to cause all manner of hell on her body before killing her, that could be triggered the moment she misbehaved. Which was such a damn shame as she did so like to misbehave.

She pushed back the anger, not making it go away just keeping it at a simmer and ready to boil, and listened to the good doctor explain what he wanted them to do. As much as she wanted to fry them both where they stood she knew it was pointless, she might be reckless but she wasn't suicidal, she was too weak without a stronger line to tap into. So for now she would play nice and plant this little bomb for them, though why they needed her for that she had no idea, but the moment the opportunity presented itself she was leaving. After all she knew someone who she needed to kill, those she was with would be safe as long as they didn't turn on her, and Maya had already had enough time to go to ground.

She followed the others into the locker room and grinned when she opened the locker with her name on it. She gently stroked her dark red leather suit as though it were an old friend. She slipped into it easily and fastened the various belts and buckles before sheathing her Sai in their custom made sheaths at her waist. Her Tanto, as always, went into the thigh sheath and in the space of moments she was ready. She debated for a moment whether to wear the mask, everyone already knew who she was so it was not much of a disguise, but then she slipped it over her head and eased it into position. Without it she was just Faith in a suit, but with it she let the Furie out. Many thought it was just an alias but it was more than that, to Faith she was Furie and Faith Mackenzie was just an alias. She grinned again,it had been too long since she had been able to let loose the real her, her smile was not a pleasant one. Behind her eyes the rage still burned.

Once they reached the jump point Furie was eager to be out of the plane, she hated planes and flying as she was cut off from the Earth and her power. Thousands of feet in the air she was too far up to sense the lines and that made her vulnerable and she did not like it one bit. Even at the prison she had had access to one, albeit a weak one. But up here there was nothing. She strapped on the parachute and with a wild laugh she leapt from the plane following the others down. She had never parachuted before and she liked it straight away, it was such a rush that she almost forgot the lack of power running through her, almost. She landed somewhat inelegantly, running a few steps to slow down without falling, before she disconnected her chute. She stepped away from it and stood, arms slightly away from her body and her eyes closed, a slow satisfied smile spread across her lips as her hair began to move on its own accord as though there was a current running through it. She opened her eyes and energy seemed to crackle behind it. She felt renewed, invigorated and powerful. This was a strong line indeed and she would make good use of it.

"Much better." She drawled rolling her neck from one side to the other. "Furie's gonna have herself some fun."

Meredith Mackenzie

Meredith stared at the closed doors, the sector was no longer there, all she saw was trees and grass flashing past too quickly for her eyes to follow. She tried to ignore everything around her and focus only on her thoughts, worry for her father mostly, but the voices behind her were too much of a distraction. With a long sigh she turned from the door and moved into the train proper standing beside her counterpart in front of the mentor that had been assigned to them. The train was nothing like what she had expected, coming from the poorer part of Sector Eight she had expected functional accommodations but nothing more. Instead it seemed she was to travel in style, everything was made of the best materials and the highest technology.

Her counterpart Evangeline introduced herself to their mentor and then just as quickly walked off further into the train, to watch the news reports on the other sectors Meredith assumed. Meredith took a moment to look their mentor up and down and what she saw did not inspire her with confidence. The mentor did not look much older than she was and seemed uncomfortable, add to that the fact that this was the first time the girl had mentored and Meredith felt her fear and worry increase. She needed to win this and return home to her father and to do that she needed training, she had the natural abilities but needed someone experienced in combat to teach her how to use them. She had no idea how this girl was supposed to do that. But she had won the battle once several years ago so Meredith decided that the mentor's appearance must hide her skills.

"I can't say its a pleasure to be here." Meredith said to the young woman. "But its nice to meet you. I'm Meredith Mackenzie."
The bartender placed the Asari wine and Turian brandy, with vodka, onto the bar top. Lysia took her drink and took a sip, she smiled slightly, it wasn't actually that bad. She handed Icarus the other drink and continued to sip from the tall fluted glass, she wasn't one for getting drunk and so preferred to sip her drink rather than down it. Besides Elasa was not meant to be rushed, it was a drink to be savored slowly and as such Lysia had found it perfect for her.

She turned to her companions and sighed quietly. "I've had better but this isn't half bad. So what more can you tell me about our contract?"
I'm still here, sorry for the delay, I'll try and post tonight. My dad came down from Manchester so I've been focussed on that. Good news he starts chemo soon and the docs are optimistic. Though they can't operate, its in multiple areas, they think they can shrink it enough.

On a separate note I'll be able to focus my attention on this so did you want me to take on a second char (maybe Hillans spot?)
No worries just checking that it hadn't died lol
Are we waiting on someone to post? Wasn't sure if I should post again
@StitchbladesHow's things going? Is this still going ahead?
I'm still here, was waiting on Wernher to post. But I can go ahead and post again if you like?

Cora had never been so glad to feel dry ground beneath her feet as she was right then, for a moment it felt strange almost too still but the rightness of it soon re asserted itself. She took a moment to enjoy the sensation having spent much longer than she would have liked on a heaving mass of timber floating on a lot of water. She had never particularly liked sea voyages, preferring to keep her feet on the ground, but her previous trips had been relatively pleasant with mostly calm sea's. But this trip had been a lot more turbulent with several big storms and she had spent much of the voyage in her cabin with bad sea sickness. Whilst she had used several of her own brewed potions designed for the purpose, they only eased the symptoms somewhat and did not remove it entirely. By the time they had reached Navarra she was sure she had lost a fair bit of weight and looked somewhat worse for wear.

First order of business then was a hot meal and a bath, fortunately the Grey Warden she had been travelling with had assured her both were available at the outpost here in Cumberland. After paying the ship captain the Warden led the way through the streets of the city, Cora was happy to follow him as she had never been here before and knew she would have been lost within minutes. The streets were clogged with Cumberland natives, visitors and a great many refugees fleeing Tevinter. Seeing them made her heart ache, many looked exhausted and unwell and some looked to be in serious need of a good meal. She wanted to stop and aid them but she made herself walk on, she could not help all of them and if she tried to help even one she knew the others could overwhelm her.

They reached the outpost and Kaden her Grey Warden escort sighed quietly, she glanced at him questioningly and he smiled ruefully at her. He gestured inside and she followed him into the outpost proper.

"I'm afraid your meal and hot bath will have to wait." Kaden said. "The Commander has gathered all the other recruits and intends to address them. You need to be there."

Cora sighed and plucked at her worn woolen dress in regret, the dark blue fabric showed signs of wear from their time spent at sea and she knew she did not look better. She was very much aware of the heavy dark circles under her eyes and of how pale she was, she was tired and still felt weak and wanted only to eat and rest. She knew that a good nights rest and one of her restoratives would have her feeling much better on the morrow. Besides she had not been able to bathe as fully as she would have liked on board ship and as she pushed aside strands of hair she could feel how dirty it was. The dark red strands hung about her shoulders in a straggly mess and she hated to appear in front of anyone in this state but there was nothing for it. She straightened her shoulders and nodded to Kaden. He led her to the main area where everyone was gathered, she was the last one in and so stood at the back. She discreetly leaned slightly against one wall, easing her tired legs, and hoped no one noticed.

She listened to the speech with half an ear, not out of rudeness or boredom but simple tiredness, and struggled to keep her eye lids from drooping shut. In the end she stood up straight hoping the ache in her legs would help keep her awake. Once the speech was finished she stayed where she was near her chosen piece of wall. She noticed several interesting characters, a female elf with breathtakingly bright armor and a shock of ginger hair, and a lean wiry man wearing an ancient looking hat. A well dressed, handsome man soon joined them and Cora assumed they knew each other. No one else in the room caught her eye though there were plenty of different races and professions gathered. Some were quite obviously mages, wearing their distinctive robes and Cora made it a point to keep a distance from them, she did not dislike her fellow mages but she was also not eager for their company either. She shifted her foot once more leaning against the wall and hoped fervently she would have the chance for some food at least before they began their trial.
