@ronin lotus @flynnI have almost finished my post, I will have it up tomorrow. Sorry for the delay ive been unwell. I'm definitely still 100 per cent committed to this roleplay!

@Fallenreaper Ash is completely human, she has no supernatural abilities. She is at physical peak for a human. Nothing more. The only advantage she has is her enchanted handguns.

Lachdonan Obrien
Ruby Dewer
Amalthea Stone

Ruby sat and waited for the last of the introductions. Esmeray, who decided to not leave her introduction to her brother, and asked them all to look past the rumors so they could all work together. Ruby hadn’t forgotten that many blamed her for the deaths of the rest of the chosen, including her mother, but...that explanation never felt right to her. There was no concrete proof just theories and maybe it was because of their god’s bond but Ruby was more inclined to believe her then speculation. After Esmeray came Jonah who said very little and nothing new if you knew anything about the water chosen, as Ruby could remember plenty of times growing up she heard from a distance either him or his master playing their instruments. And then, that was it, Ka’ora told them all to enjoy their rest for as long as they had.

Ruby was content to sit in the shade of the tree for awhile longer, playing with the shadows of the leafs as she did, as she spoke to her familiar. “Cecillia, do you want something to eat? I could get you something?”
To this her familiar chuckled. “It’s alright Ruby.” She said in a soft voice as she started to crawl down her body. “I will find my own food. You should go get your own, besides, Lachdonon is calling to you.” With that Cecillia crawled off Ruby, sinking into the shadows to start her hunt for food.

Ruby sighed, Cecillia had been trying to get her to socialize more before all the strange events that brought them out here happened, and now it seemed she was jumping right back into those attempts. Well, she was right, she needed to eat. But that didn’t mean she went over right away as she watched Amalthea argue with her familiar before going over to Lachdonon and start talking to him. She felt like it would be awkward if she just went over there now and started talking to him so she waited a moment for a better opportunity.

Lach and Mia both paused in their eating while Thea went on her own tangent and didn’t answer him right away. After a moment Lach continued eating his food, while Mia watched and ate with interest...mostly because of the idea of chicken sounded great right now. And the scene was quite comical...reminding her of some of the times with Lachdonon.
When she finally answered him, he nodded. It made sense, fire and emotions going well together. However...he had a feeling the zen lessons didn't...quite stick. He smiled at the thought and sat up more when she stood up, and moved over to him. Surprised she decided to just sit back down next to him.
Mia had finished her food a bit ago… but was still slightly hungry. She hopped up onto Lachdonon’s shoulders and laid down across the span of them. Her tail twitching side to side as she got a closer look at Thea and more importantly….the chicken.

She mentioned he seemed comfortable outside and he nodded, “I’ve been out a few times you could say… with my father.” He wasn’t going to just tell people he snuck out of the walls. That stuff could get him killed by zealots.
He was shocked at her straightforwardness. But he appreciated it. He gave a genuine smile and said, “I tend to go against the mold as well…” Eurika smiling and in his arms flashed in his mind. Normally the Goddess of Earth and the God of lighting hated each other….yet he couldn’t resist her charm. Bringing himself back to the current conversations. “I’m all for making new friends. Especially cute redheaded ones.” He said with one of his mischievous charming grins.

Lach glanced over to Ruby once again and noticed she still didn’t have any food. He waved for her to come over as he got up and grabbed a bowl for her. “Ruby! Come on over I want to get to know you as well!” He walked back to his seat and sat down while still extending his hand towards her with the food. There was another seat next to him on his right.
For a minute, Ruby had went back to messing around with the shadows as she waited for a chance to join the others where they were sitting and she didn’t have to wait long. She looked up as Lachdonon called over to her again and felt herself blush a little as she realized that perhaps she should have just went over the first time, even if the timing would have been awkward. Wanting to fix this whole situation before she felt anymore embarrassment, Ruby picked herself up and went over to them, sitting down to the right of Lachdonon where there was room. “Um, thank you.” She said, not sure what to say at first as she took the bowl of food Lachdonon offered her. “I um, wish to get to know you all better as well. It’s good to know your teammates.” She said, knowing she was just echoing what Ka’ora had said just a little while ago but she was never the best at breaking the ice.

Lachdonon nodded and sat back slightly when he did, He sighed inwardly as he reached into his pouch and wrapped a blue silk ribbon unconsciously around his hand. He honestly wish he could be out here alone...searching for that beast, but now he had to play nice with the others and do the mission. It's not that he didn’t like the others...its just that he needed to take care of things.
But he put on a smile… what he had done for the last six months...more so again in the last two. He glanced to Ruby and asked, “Well?” He said with a well practiced smile. “What about you… have you been outside the walls yet besides today?”

Ruby stirred her soup a little as Lachdonon asked her if she had ever been outside the city. He seemed...uncomfortable. Whether that was to do the the surroundings or the reason they were here was something she couldn’t tell though. “No.” She answered concisely, “This is indeed my first time. I had been curious over the years about what it would be like out here though. After being told for so long that Haven was the safest place for us, I had expected it to be more...chaotic out here. But it seems almost peaceful.” Ruby sighed, “But I know that's just a facade when there are monsters out here. They are the reason we’re out here after all. But there's a part of me that hopes that maybe once we sort all of this out that perhaps...we won’t need to stay in the city as much?” She finished. She had tried to be careful with how she worded her thoughts. Just talk of going out beyond the walls could rile quite a few up. Besides, it would be up to the Gods more than anything.

Thea absently stroked Dart’s feathers as she listened to Ruby, she could understand what Ruby meant about it seeming peaceful. There was something refreshing about being outside and breathing the air which seemed fresher than that in the city.
“It would be nice if one day we didn’t have to stay in the city and could spread our wings. I’ve lost count of the times I have felt enclosed and wished for space and quiet even though I know most people are just grateful that the city is safe.” She grinned. “But then I have never been one for thinking like ‘most’ people.”
Dart snorted quietly. “Indeed. No one could ever say you are like everyone else. Unfortunately.”
“Oh hush.” Thea said fondly.
She looked at her now empty second bowl and debated getting a third but decided against it. She didn’t want to seem greedy to everyone else. She’d always had a very hearty appetite and Dart had often commented on how surprised he was that she didn’t weigh more than she did.
“Right, I’m off to get my own dinner. Don’t eat the whole stew while I’m gone.”Dart said pointedly before flapping his wings a few times and then lifting from his perch on her shoulder. He had winged away a few moments later.
“So.” Thea said looking at her two companions. “What do you think we’re likely to find out here? I mean monsters obviously but what sort of monster? I’m going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess you’ve seen some before.”She finished nodding at Lach.

Lach only nodded his head, finding it funny that these two have a similar thought process as him. He looked down and thought back, no one ever went outside the walls. None of these chosen had any real battle experience. Just training. Hell even the previous chosen had few and far inbetween that had actual battle experience. Just like Eurika…. If he was there maybe he could have saved her. Even though she was powerful, he could have protected her. He had countless battles outside the walls on his own, surely his experience would have been valuable...but the Gods, didn’t think so.
He was pulled out of his thoughts, his hand clutching the silk ribbon tightly when Thea asked a question. He looked to her and hesitated. He had been out a handful of times with his father any maybe one time did they encounter anything...and it was the undead. If he revealed more he could be caught in his lie.
“Undead really… usually this close to the wall there's not much here. Because the God’s power usually makes them keep their distance. However there is the Storm Reaver…” He said softly. As he then looked to the two and said, “Just don’t get separated from the group.”

Thea got the distinct feeling there was more that he wasn’t saying but didn’t push as it wasn’t her place to pry. Hell she didn’t care if he any of them had secrets as long as they didn’t risk her life she was happy to let them be. She nodded as he mentioned Undead, she’d heard that they were likely to encounter those. The Storm Reaver...she had of that too though not much except that it was deadly.
Not wanting to dwell on that she smiled wryly. “You mean wander off in an unknown wilderness and be a damsel in distress? Not likely. “
She glanced at the others gathered in various little groups and then looked back at Ruby and Lach. “So we seem to be an...interesting bunch. I sure wish I had gotten to know you all a bit better before being sent out here of course. Not sure why I didn’t to be honest though Karkand did keep me pretty busy.”
She chuckled slightly. “But then I took any excuse I had to work with him. If you knew my family you’d understand why.”
“Never did like your house.” Dart said from above as he landed on her shoulder. “Bloody cold if you ask me and the house isn’t much better.”
Soooooo who are we waiting on?

Interacting With Sandra Miller

Running wasn't working.
Usually whenever she was stressed or trying to work something out running would help clear her head and give her focus but not this morning. This morning she just couldn't seem to find her rhythm and none of her normal running music made any difference, she just couldn't forget that damned dream last night. It had been so vivid, the colours sharp and the sounds crystal clear, that it had seemed truly real and even after waking it had taken her a few moments to realise she had been dreaming. The events in the dream had been fragmented making no sense in the light of day but seeming perfectly logical in the dream. It had centred around her time suffering from the Barracuda Virus and she had really believed she was dying all over again. She had once again been lying helpless in her sweat soaked bed surrounded by the smell of sickness. Too weak to move or even eat and plagued with delirium she had assumed she wasn't going to live through it and part of her hadn't wanted to. But by far the worse part of the dream had been the overwhelming sense of disappointment that didn't come from her but more surrounded her. She couldn't help but feel it had been her father and the idea that she might have disappointed him was almost more than she could bear.

Giving up on the run she walked back to the house and let herself in the back door. The kitchen was bright with the morning light and for a moment Tabitha told herself she was back in Scotland. Their kitchen there had faced east and so tey always got the first morning light there too. But the moment passed and she reminded herself once again that this was her life now, Brooklyn America not Edinburgh Scotland.

"Morning, how was your run?" Sandra Miller looked up from where she was sitting at the breakfast counter holding a steaming mug of coffee.

"Morning, it was ok." Although the relationship between Tabitha and her mother had greatly improved, thanks to her mother's care of her when she had been sick, Tabitha didn't feel comfortable telling her about her dream.

"Is everything okay with you?" Her mother asked watching her steadily. "I heard you crying last night."

Tabitha turned away from her mothers gaze, uncomfortable, and busied herself making a mug of tea. "I'm fine, it was just a bad dream. Honestly I'm good."

Her mother reached over and laid her hand on top of Tabitha's her hand warm and soft. "Alright but you know you can talk to me right?"

Tabitha gently squeezed her mothers hand and smiled. "I know I can. I promise I'm fine."

Her mother removed her hand and smiled back clearly deciding to let the subject go for which Tabitha was grateful. Things had been very different when she had first arrived. Her mother had been a stranger to her and didn't seem to want her estranged daughter around at all. They had been distant and awkward with each other and Tabitha knew some of that had been her fault, she hadn't wanted to move thousands of miles from home and live with a woman who had shown no interest in her before this. She had just lost her father and didn't want to try and get to know this woman or show her the grief she felt. The virus had changed all that and it was the one good thing to come of the tragedy as far as she was concerned. She and her mother had finally formed a connection, her mother tirelessly looking after her and then being there when the grief became too much to hide. They still had a long way to go yet but the two of them now wanted to form a stronger relationship.

"So any plans for today?" Her mother asked.

Tabitha shrugged. "Not really. Why?"

Her mother grinned. "Well I happen to have the day off work and I wondered if you'd like to help me finally decorate your room?"

They spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon up in Tabitha's bedroom, which had been a spare room previously, painting the walls and it turned out to be surprisingly fun for both of them. As much paint ended up on each other as went on the walls but neither of them cared. They spent the time just chatting, talking about their favourite tv shows or laughing about stories her mother told her about her work. It was relaxed and fun and Tabitha's natural cheerful nature began to reassert it'self once again, she was not by nature a serious or brooding person and she couldn't help but enjoy the time. Once the walls were done and they had both showered and changed they decided food was in order. Sandra suggested pizza and offered to take her to the local pizza place which apparently made the best pizza's around, and thirty minutes later they were pulling into the car park.

A bell rang as her mother pushed the door open and Tabitha jumped in surprise before laughing quietly at her own jumpiness. She followed her mother to the front counter where a dark haired young woman and an older man stood. Tabitha was glancing at the menu's above the counter when she felt a tap on her shoulder, she turned and only just managed not to scream. She bit down on her lower lip as she stared at the man who had appeared behind her. It wasn't possible...it just wasn't possible.

"Daddy?" She whispered her voice childlike in her shock

The man looked at her for a long moment without speaking before he finally nodded and said."It's me."

"But...you died, back in Scotland. You can't be here. How are you here?"

"Does it matter? Besides, you wanted to be with me again didn't you?" He looked sad. "I know what you were thinking."

Tabitha felt faint, how could he be here? and how could he know that? She hadn't told anyone not even her mother. A very large part of her had wanted to die when she became sick, not because of the pain of the virus but because she simply didn't think she could go on without her father. She still felt like that some days but not as many thanks to her mother. She wondered then if he truly was disappointed in her like she had dreamed last night. Had he come here to tell her that? That he couldn't believe she would even consider something like that? Or maybe he understood and had come to tell her it was ok.

"Daddy I..." She was interrupted then by her mothers voice and she quickly turned back to face her.

"Are you okay hon?" Her mother asked concerned.

Tabitha looked behind her again but her father was gone, if he had ever been there at all. Either she was seeing things or being haunted and both options were pretty scary to think about. She forced a smile. "I'm fine, my mind just wandered."

"I was asking what you were having?" Her mother said.

"Ummmm." Food was the last thing she wanted now but she wasn't about to admit that. She addressed her mother and the woman behind the counter. "I have no idea what's good here. How about you surprise me?" She was unaware of it but the scottish lilt in her voice was stronger than it had been earlier.

NickName/Alias: Ash, Gauthier

Age: 25 Years Old

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Sub-Class: None

Description:

Ashlyn can only be described as petite standing at five feet four and being outweighed by most who know her. She is however in very good shape physically and so has a toned and athletic build. She has reddish brown hair that she usually wears tied back in a pony tail or some other style that keeps it off her face. The only time she is ever seen with it down is when sleeping or rare occasions when forced to attend her families formal events. She is pale skinned, though not abnormally so, with an oval shaped face that has clear grey eyes and gently pointed chin.

She is much more a tomboy than a girly girl and is rarely seen in anything other than jeans and boots, she is fond of vest tops or shirts and usually pairs this with body warmers or a leather jacket. She has several holsters that she wears at all times, one on each shoulder, and one on her ankle. She has three tattoos one on her stomach around her belly button, one on her back and one on her left wrist. The only one usually seen is her wrist (words spiral around her wrist like she is wearing bracelets of them, the words are a viking prayer about Valhalla) She has no blemishes or birthmarks.

History: Ashlyn is the only child of Lawrence and Marie Gauthier, a powerhouse couple who run Gauthier Industries a Pharmaceutical giant with headquarters in Loom. As well as being wealthy business owners they are the latest in a long line of members of the Demon Hunters guild. The Gauthier family has been a respected member for generations and they always have at least one child join the guild.
The couple expected to have at least one son whom would continue this tradition but due to complications during Ashlyn's birth they were unable to have more children. Resigned to this they went ahead anyway and Ashlyn was raised from a young age with the knowledge and expectation of joining the guild.

Her education was second to none, with the best teachers money could buy, but Ashlyn turned out to be a difficult pupil. Whilst she did show interest in her studies of the supernatural and excelled at the physical aspects of her training she resented the pressure being put on her. This was exacerbated further by the fact that her parents were not the loving type and showed very little interest in her other than how well she performed. As she grew into her teenage years she began to rebel against the expectations they had, her family name and her studies. She went out of her way to make things difficult for her parents, drinking, doing drugs, getting into trouble with the law, anything that might make them angry. After all anger was better than nothing in her mind.

She completed secondary school barely passing her final exams, as she had spent as much time as possible playing truant. She was then given a mentor from the guild. An apprenticeship of sorts and it was this hunter that turned things around for Ashlyn. Michael was a seasoned hunter who was known for his preference for weaponry over magic. He was a gruff, taciturn man known to speak little preferring action over words. It was clear from the beginning that he did not want to be saddled with a spoilt rebellious teenager. They got off to a rocky start but after Ashlyn saved his life he saw past the surface. The two of them had been returning from an evening spent patrolling the city when they were attacked by a particularly nasty demon. Michael caught off guard fought it but was clearly not going to win, Ashlyn deliberately distracted the demon attacking it even though she had neither the skills or equipment to face such a powerful demon. But it gave Michael the opening he needed to finish the demon.

After this both changed, Michael saw in Ashlyn a kindred spirit and was determined to make her into the best hunter she could be and Ashlyn realised she wanted to be a hunter. She didn't like what demons did to people and wanted to help get rid of them but she also realised that she had a natural skill for this type of work. Michael continued to train Ashlyn and even once she was considered a hunter in her own right the pair would often work together on difficult hunts. Ashlyn has been a hunter for the past several years and is accepted amongst the guild as a skilled and resourceful hunter.

- Quick Thinking: Is quick at thinking on her feet and adept at improvising in unexpected situations, has a reputation for thinking outside of the box when needed
- Nimble: Has learned to make the most of her speed and agility in combat situations and is a very fast runner

Notable Belongings:

- 2 pistols in shoulder holsters

- Shotgun in back holster

- Protective vest with two spare magazines for the M9's

Other:

- Ashlyn prefers to do her hunting from behind a gun and also believes in being prepared, as such she has numerous weapon caches throughout the city
- Ashlyn has cordial relations at best with her parents and refuses to use any of their money, she lives in a modest apartment and survives from her Guild money
- No one calls her Ashlyn as she is quick to ensure anyone she meets refers to her as Ash. Other hunters sometimes refer to her as Gauthier which she tolerates but dislikes

I just want to apologise for my inactivity but I have had a migraine. Ill be back on discord tomorrow.
Thanks for the map. Town B sounds good for her, plenty there to keep her busy as you mentioned.
Where do you think Octavias town is? I was thinking if its close to others then she would have more chance to interact?
