Greetings fellow rper!

Are you still looking for partners? Your interests seem to gel with mine and I'd be interested on creating something with you!
Hi there,

I responded to another of your threads but figured I'd also reply here as this one is newer.

I'm an experienced roleplayer looking for roleplays with in depth plot and story, character progression/evolution and romance. I love putting my characters through the ringer and challenging them (makes for good roleplay)
I prefer to play female roles but can play male if needed.

Let me know if you are interested in rping with me :)
Hi there :)

I'd love to rp with you! I'm looking for long running, evolving and in depth roleplays. I prefer playing females interested in males as that's what I'm most comfortable with. I like epic storylines that have romantic subplots and lots of character development.

Anywho, let me know if you're interested.

Ash moved smoothly through the attacking ninja's her every move so fluid and graceful that it was eerie to watch. After jabbing a ninja in the chest and then kneeing him in the face when he doubled over. She spun on one leg lashing out with the other sending a ninja behind her flying backwards. She glanced around and saw she was not alone. A woman in a fearsome mask and using a sword was near the lion, a figure in blue and white was also close to the beast. Another figure in some kind of metal suit fought nearby. A ninja ran at her then and she sidestepped his charge at the last moment. As he staggered past his body moving too quickly for him to correct himself, she yanked him back by his armour and slammed her fist into his face. He stood stunned and before he could react she had lifted him by the throat to dangle off of the ground.

She was about to deal with him when she heard shouting near the entrance. She looked sideways and saw a man sporting studded leather and chains announcing himself to the ninjas as the 'Grand Master'. She frowned thinking for a moment that he was their leader but when she saw the ninjas moving in to attack him she realised that wasn't the case. Still holding the ninja in one hand she watched as the man literally ripped the heart from one enemy and hit the other so hard that his head twisted all of the ways around. The savagery of the man's actions both thrilled and repelled her. She fought constantly to keep her inner beast, the one that revelled in the violence of the hunt, in the killing of its prey. But she wasn't just the wildness of nature, she was human too and the human in her called this man a murderer.

She tightened her grip on the ninja's neck and choked him until he went limp in her grasp, she dropped him to the floor knowing he was just unconscious and turned towards the man in leather. But before she could say anything she saw the lion become a man again. It was different from how she shifted form and both this and the lack of response to her mental communication convinced her that he was not like her. He was something different.
She wouldn't get the chance to ask though as the man used a grappling hook to quickly reach the roof and disappear into the night.

"You have got to be kidding." She said dryly. "Bloody hell, the least he could do after wrecking a perfectly good party was stay for the cleanup."

Shaking her head she turned back towards the entrance striding across the room like a cat stalking its prey. She stopped not far from the man in leather and shook her head at the dead ninjas near his feet.
"I really wish you hadn't done that."She said, her tone conversational. "Now I'm going to have to deal with you too when all I want to do is go home and clean the stench of ninja off of me."

Whatever Oberon was going to say would remain a mystery as all hell broke out around them. The dome like skylight exploded inwards and the room was suddenly raining large and small shards of glass as well as what appeared to be a lion?
Ash's preternatural ability to recognise danger and her incredibly enhanced reflexes were the only things that saved her from being impaled by a particularly large shard of glass.

Before she was even consciously aware of the danger her body was already moving. On some level she was aware of her need for secrecy and so instead of using her enhanced reflexes to twist away she dived to the floor instead. Hopefully anyone watching would just put it down to luck, she lay there for a moment pretending to be stunned but in reality she scanned the room with quick focus getting the lay of the land. She hadn't imagined the lion, the great beast crouched amongst the glass roaring and attempting to fight the ninjas that surrounded him. There was a lot of them and Ash could see help was needed if the lion was to live.

After a few moments she got to her feet and looked at Oberon. "At the risk of sounding like a coward, I think we should get out of here!" She deliberately put as much fear in her voice as she could. It wasn't easy as it wasn't fear she felt but exhilaration, her body thrummed with the need to act, to fight, to let the predator out. She hated lying to this man that seemed genuinely interested in her, for the first time in a long time she felt attraction and she wanted to pursue it. But it was too dangerous for him to know her true identity, she hoped he was a nice person but in truth she didn't know him and couldn't be sure he wouldn't try to use her in some way.

Even if he was genuine, knowing her secret would put him in danger and she wouldn't allow that.

"Im sorry." She said before abandoning him, running in what would appear to be panic. In reality she was searching for somewhere private and secluded.
She spotted the ladies toilets and quickly saw they were empty, people were more interested in running for their lives than going to the loo. Assured she was alone she closed her eyes and concentrated. Gradually something began to appear on her skin seeming to grow from her hands and feet, it spread in colours if gold, green and red until she stood garbed in what appeared to be armour. Her hair seemed even redder than before and her eyes now glowed green and gold.

She turned and ran back out to the ballroom which was in utter chaos. There was damage everywhere, either from the glass or from the battle raging between the enormous lion and the black clad ninja. Many people were still fleeing the room, she had only been in the bathroom a few moments, whilst others cowered in terror behind tables and chairs. She spotted several of the bar staff crouched wide eyed behind the bar. Below the skylight the lion still fought, his tremendous roar making the room vibrate. The ninjas however seemed of stern stuff and continued to attack the enraged lion.

Ash felt her own rage grow, how dare they attack such a glorious beast and how dare they ruin her good time. Yhey were going to pay. She smiled fiercely and leapt forward jumping the length of the room to land just in front of a ninja that was running in to attack the lion. With a snarl that was definitely not human Ash dropped and spun, her leg lashing out and taking the ninjas feet out from under him. Before he could react she gripped his neck and choked him into unconsciousness.

She rose gracefully to her feet, her movements feline in their grace and moved to stand near the lion showing no fear of the beast. Narrowing her eyes she wondered what the beast was, even without its size she knew it was no ordinary lion. It felt...odd. Not wrong but odd. Whilst she turned to fight the ninjas coming at her and the lion both now she attempted to communicate with the lion sending him a series of images.

A lioness stands near a great lion extending her head showing her vulnerable throat, allowing him to see she was not a threat, the lioness attacks the shadowy figures closing in on the lion

(OOC the images basically translate as "hey I'm not a threat but here to help)
Oberon Price and Ashlyn Blackwood

Ash was so surprised that the man was still there, and not having run a mile at her odd behaviour, that she just stood there staring. After a moment of awkward silence she realised he was waiting on her answer.

The redness in her cheeks grew and she cursed her long, very long, time since she'd last dated. She felt like a teenager again and it was not a pleasant feeling. Mentally pulling herself together, she smiled and nodded.

"I warn you that I'm out of practise." She said dryly. "But if you're willing to risk the safety of your feet then who am I to argue? Lead on."

Oberon smiled and gave a light hearted chuckle. "You might not be the only one out of practice here." As he said it he recalled the last time he had been to one of these things. Six years ago when everyone disappeared. He had just met Wilson Fisk, the supposed KingPin of crime, and then danced with a woman who had a very...energetic personality. Turns out he had danced with Electro, having taken her down the following week for trying to take over where Fisk left off.

Lost in a thought he shook himself out of it as Ashlyn came up and he took her hand leading them to the dance floor. Being a gentleman he bowed before her then took her hand extending it with his outward. He then placed his other hand on her waist instead of mid back so they could have space to talk then led them in just a simple back and forth slow dance. "So I have to admit that I know almost everyone else here except you. Blackwood? Is that English?" Oberon asked as he looked around slightly keeping his head of security on eye.

Relieved he had taken the lead and set an easy pace for her to follow, Ash allowed herself to relax a little. She'd never liked events like these and the many functions she'd been forced to attend in her youth had only reinforced that. Add to that the fact that she had to be constantly in control of her animal nature meant she rarely relaxed.

But although she could not let her guard down completely she felt strangely comfortable around this man. She didn't understand why but right then she didn't care. She wanted to enjoy it, she knew it wouldn't last, and wanted to make the most of it. Her expressive grey eyes had darkened during her thoughts but they brightened again when her smile returned.

"Yes. My family is the esteemed noble Blackwood House, friend of the British monarchy for centuries." Her tone was very obviously sarcastic. "They're filthy rich so you don't need to worry that I'm after your money." Her eyes automatically scanned the room regularly while she talked.

"I actually work for a living as well. Makes me the black sheep of the family. Especially since I chose a career that isn't appropriate for the daughter of an Earl." She rolled her eyes and chuckled. "What about you? A man known for his technological prowess. What brings you to an animal conservation fundraiser?"

His face had taken on a puzzled when she had mentioned his money and not worrying about it till he realized she was being sarcastic. "Oh umm no if anything that father of yours should worry about what I would want with his rich daughter who also happens to be stunning." It spilled out of his mouth before he thought about what he said. But he cleared his throat and continued without too much of a pause.

"Hoesntly I'm here because there are laws taking care of the people who have been displaced but not the animals. People can bounce back but whole ecosystems were thrown off thanks to Thanos. People can rebuild and that's why I'm here to help rebuild. Though I admit I don't know hardly anything of how to fix any of this, I hope my money can go into the hands of someone who can." He smiled genuinely and looked into her eyes.

"You work too? So do I, I'm not comfortable sitting around collecting money. Personally I like to keep my hands and mind busy. What is it you do anyway?" The song continued as he slowly spun them around the room amongst the other party goers all the while slightly moving closer to her.

Ash felt herself redden again. This was ridiculous! She'd been complimented before and it hadn't phased her. But he said it with such genuine honesty that it meant more than the casual compliments she usually received.

"If you keep charming me I might have to stake my claim on you." She said only half joking. "But seriously, I'm a Clinical Animal Behaviourist. Basically a psychologist for animals. I currently work in welfare and conservation at the Bronx Zoo. I admire what you're doing, not many have thought past the human tragedy caused by Thanos."

"You're a developer of technology aren't you? I've been impressed by some of the technology that's been used to help the environment in recent years." Without being aware of it Ash responded to his body language moving closer to him.

"You smell amazing." She said and then laughed self consciously. "I said that out loud didn't I?"

Normally he never felt flushed at all with his cool skin but this time he felt heat. "I think you did." He managed to get out before he miss stepped a little, almost falling forward but played it off as a dip just as the song was coming to a close. Taking a deep breath through his nose he took in her scent as he brought her back up and close to him. "Don't worry though. You do too." Suddenly there was clapping and he realized that they were the only two left on the dancefloor. Moving so that he could see her face, "Looks like we are the center of attention. How about we go take a seat and finish talking there?" Still keeping her hand in his he led them off the dancefloor and away from the spotlight to the table where he offered her the seat she had sat in before.

Ash glanced around and grinned when she saw he was right. She allowed him to guide her back to the table. When they were both seated she met his gaze, her grey eyes direct. "I'm sorry I hope I haven't made you uncomfortable. My brother often reminds me that I can be somewhat...odd." It was just then that she caught the thoughts of geese flying nearby.

A Geese lowers its head in greeting,a young bird struggling to fly, the sun rising and setting incredibly fast, a cold, cold wind

Ash's mind automatically translated the images into words she understood.

We greet you, Chosen of the Mother. We are late in our journey to the warm lands as our young were born late and took time to strengthen. The journey is long and cold. We ask that you give us your blessing.

For a moment the party faded away and Ash frowned. She did not like it when the animals treated her as some kind of deity but she would not refuse if it gave them the strength to finish their migration.

She sent back images of the sun warming their wings, of the air lightening their bodies. She heard their thanks and then they were gone, flying to warmer climes. She came back to her surroundings and smiled ruefully. "As I said. I can be odd." She found herself holding her breath hoping that this wouldn't drive him away.

He gazed back at her and smiled. “Honestly no you aren’t odd. If I may be so bold it is refreshing to have someone be so direct and informal. I deal with uptight business people all day and usually the only person to be straight with me is my head of security but even then he has to watch all my comings and goings so even that is filtered through a formal manner.” Though then he thought of James who had grown to be a good friend, still a person he worked with though and carried his own set of issues that Oberon had to be careful with. For a second it had seemed that they were both lost in thought and then she mentioned being odd again. “Trust me you really aren’t.” He said as he took her hand again.

“Oh you asked what I do. Well the term is biotech and chemical chemical engineer. I have a degree in both actually. I kinda like Stark used to be, rest his soul, in the way he would create and innovate within his own company. Though that is about all I shared with the man.” As he stopped he caught her eyes again hoping he wouldn’t see her inner self groaning as he talked about himself yet again.

Ash noted his body language, she could read even the minute signals people gave off all the time without realising it, she suddenly realised that in his own way he was lonely. Like her he seemed not to have anyone he could truly be himself with. Almost without thought she reached out and squeezed his hand.

She held it for a moment and then sat back and listened in fascination as he began to explain more about what he did. She was not creative or innovative with engineering or chemistry and knew little about them but she was interested nonetheless.

"I didn't know Stark personally, I met him once briefly at a gala similar to this, but we exchanged nothing more than pleasantries. But his company did a lot of good and I'm glad you're continuing on his legacy." She hesitated then said. "Perhaps you could show me some of your work sometime? Unless it's classified." She smiled.

His face lit up as she asked to see his work sometime. It had been a very long time since anyone had shown interest. Ever since his mom… “I’d be delighted to do so. It’s my work that I can show you so that wont be a problem for me. I have several projects underway actually. Even one that is going to be announced soon.” He beamed as he sat back then checked his watch. Looking around he said “It should almost be time for dinner then the show after. If you'd rather skip the show, we could go back to my place. The lab is there and I could give you a…”
Sounds good to me :)

Bronx Zoo, New York City

"How the hell did he get in there in the first place?" Ashlyn Blackwood demanded as she looked into the enclosure.
"It seems there was a hole in the monkey's enclosure that we missed." Carl, head primate keeper said in irritation.
Ashlyn sighed and rested a hand on the man's shoulder for a brief moment. "We'll get him out."
She turned back to the enclosure and watched the large tiger play with it's new toy, the 'toy' being Sid a male from the monkey enclosure. She knew Sid was alive as she could hear his panicked thoughts and feel his fear. She had been sending him soothing thoughts and feelings for some time now, the ability one she had honed to the point she could do it without needing to concentrate.

Kahn the tiger on the other hand, was a different kettle of fish all together. Understandably he did not want to give up what he saw as his. Ashlyn considered how best to approach the situation, she could force Kahn to give up his prize, she possessed that ability too, but she was reluctant to do so. The idea of forcing a sentient creature against its will was anathema to her. No, she would only resort to that if everything else failed. She glanced to her left and saw that the tiger keepers had finally brought the large tiger ball filled with Lavender. Kahn loved the scent and she hoped he would be willing to trade the monkey for the ball.

She turned to Carl. "I'm going in. Keep everyone else away from here."
Carl nodded and turned away to get the staff to leave the area so as not to distract the tiger. Really it was so that they didn't see Ash do her thing. Other then her brother, Carl was the only other non powered person who knew who and what she was. Taking a calming breath Ash quickly unlocked and opened the gate to the enclosure. She walked slowly towards the tiger confident but not aggressive, as she did so she would occasionally blink slowly at Kahn expressing her affection for the male whilst sending him calming feelings and thoughts. When Kahn slow blinked back she knew he would allow her to approach.

She stopped a short distance away and rolled the ball towards Kahn, the big tiger sniffed at the ball and immediately released Sid in favour of the ball. He began rolling on the ground and rabbit kicking the ball and rubbing it against his fur. While he was distracted Ash quickly retrieved Sid and was relieved to see he was mostly unharmed as Kahn hadn't been hungry just playful. Ash retreated quickly sending thanks to the tiger who acknowledged this with images of him cheek rubbing with Ash.

Carl quickly took Sid to get checked by the vet and with the crisis averted Ash continued on with her day, using her powers in a variety of subtle undetected ways to help the animals at the zoo. When she finally got home she realised she had only a short time to get ready for the gala. It was times like these that she was grateful for her enhanced speed and in no time she had showered, dressed and done her hair and makeup. After making sure her family were all fed and watered and ensuring they had plenty to occupy them while she was gone she left for the gala.

Animal Conservation Fundraising Gala, Convention Centre, New York City

Ashlyn sighed quietly as she sat at one of the few tables currently empty of guests. She hated these things, hated feeling as though she was begging for money. Whilst she had access to a fair amount of wealth thanks to her family, it wasn't enough on its own to provide the funds needed to help the animals at the zoo let alone world wide. Hence the need for fundraising galas like this one. Though she was very well known in Britain due to her family being one of the titled families that had mixed in the same company as the British royal family, in the states she was mostly unknown. Normally that was exactly how she liked it but it was at events such as these that being recognised would be an advantage.

Still, she'd managed to work the room and gained some more funds that the zoo needed both for the zoo itself and for it's conservation efforts world wide. She had just turned to walk the room again when she came face to face with the most breathtakingly handsome man she had ever seen. He wasn't overly tall, though taller then her, but he possessed a magnetic charisma that seemed to make him larger than he was. His hair was pure white and his eyes were an intense pale blue and Ash felt the urge to rub up against him as though he was a large male cat. She pushed the urge down, used to denying her animalistic behaviour when in public, it wasn't always easy but it was necessary.

When he introduced himself she realised that he was the CEO everyone was always talking about. She'd seen pictures of him of course but they did not do him justice. She inhaled deeply and realised the man even smelled good, his scent one with an edge of refreshing cold like a blast of fresh winter air. She offered her own hand and wondered if he noticed the warmth of her hand in comparison to the coolness of his own. She rarely felt the cold, another benefit of her animal nature.

"Hello Oberon, I'm Ashlyn Blackwood. It's a pleasure to meet you." She flushed slightly when she realised that their hands were still clasped together. She couldn't seem to look away from him, something about him drew her in like a moth to a flame and she had no idea why.
Again she felt the urge to rub against him and purr, she closed her eyes for a brief moment and concentrated on not allowing her animal nature to take over. It was harder than usual and she couldn't quite prevent herself from leaning toward Oberon to take in more of his delicious scent.

Bloody hell The human part of her mind thought Way to come across as a crazy woman Ash. Good one. I just hope it doesn't look as weird as I think it does
