Kharloz sighed, the rider had slowed down and came to a stop at a respectable distance. Combined with the darkening sky and hood the rider was wearing, Kharloz couldn't tell of what blood he was of, but didn't give it a second thought. He was more concerned for getting out of the snow. The rider quickly introduced himself, although he sounded a bit uncaring at first.

"Greetings, Sleeth Uzama. I am Kharloz Daerok, of no particular allegiance." The Orc holds his fist onto his chest, as is the customary Orc greeting of his people. "I realize you probably have something to attend to but I am afraid I appear to be lost in this damned snow. Is it okay if I tag along with you out of this frozen hell? I would be forever grateful."
Sleeth said
Hmm if he just came out of the cold of the Barren then I suppose it's very possible as that is where most of their people are.

There probably is. Just like Ridicians, Orcs live on mountains in isolated settlements.
Finally back for now. I've got my first IC post up.

That's no problem at all. This Rp is about each persons story after all, if they're entwined then so be it.Besides, one way or another I want to have him interject with each person. If he should survive his ordeals he could cover many chapters of the book and instead of being a story it would be remarked as an Epic. Most Ridician die in battle. They know they have long life spans, but no Ridician has ever gone white in the hair or gotten wrinkles. That's my goal for this Rp.
Edit: Von, going over your character sheet, it seems Sleeth would like him a lot. He has a strong respect for Orcs and their values.

Great. Most Orcs, like the Ridicians, also die in battles though Orcs have noticeably shorter lifespans than most humanoids. I'll make it so that my character, Kharloz, had met a Ridician before, long ago.
Kharloz trudged on aimlessly through the snow of the lands known as The Barren. There was not a sound in the distance nor could he tell which direction lead to civilization. The heavy snow that fell during the prior night had completely covered the roads. While he didn't like to admit it, he was lost. Although that wasn't all bad. He hadn't experienced being lost for ages and being the person he was, relished in the opportunity to experience new and dangerous things. Plus he had been in worse situations before. The thing is, it was starting to get dark and a night in The Barren was considered certain death unless he found a way out of the snow soon.

With a thump, he sat down on a rock to think about his predicament. "Maybe purposely going into the untamed wilds of the cold with no map, food, or proper clothing wasn't such a good idea after all... I'll have to drop my weapons at this rate to move more freely through the sn-" His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a galloping horse heading in his direction. He stood there for a moment, staring at the incoming rider and its horse. Cautiously, he held a hand up, palm facing the rider's direction, signifying for the rider to stop. He hoped his intimidating appearance wouldn't scare them away, it had happened before on more than one occasion.
Hey Sleeth, would it be okay if my character meets yours somehow since the two other characters are far from you? I also won't be on for a while today unfortunately.
Name: Kharloz Daerok

Age: 37

Race: Orc

Gender: Male

Alliance: None for now.

Race Description: Orcs are known for their reputation as excellent fighters on a battlefield with heavy weapons. Biologically, Orcs are a type of elve but generally consider themselves as a completely different race due to cultural and physical appearance differences. Large Orc settlements are found on mountains all over Ellira and usually choose to isolate themselves because of a long distrust to outsiders. Society in these settlements are governed by a rigid class system. Every Orc has a specific job and is obligated to perform it. Every man, woman, and child in the fort is also trained from birth to defend it. The Strongholds are led by a chief, who killed the previous chief to prove his strength. Orcs that don't live on these settlements tend to be mercenaries, soldiers, witch doctors, or smiths. Magic is respected by most Orcs only if used to help others in a non-violent way such as Warm Magic. Any kind of magic that can hurt is looked down upon and is forbidden.

Appearance: Link to Image

Clothing: (In Appearance)

Personality: Kharloz is a very wise person who has seen the worst and best of people from different cultures throughout his life. This has lead him to become suspicious of strangers at first but once he sees the good in someone he will see them as a lifelong friend.

History: Like most Orcs, Kharloz grew up in an Orcish settlement on a mountain but longed to know the outside world which he was forbidden to see. His job was to guard the stronghold from rival settlements and creatures day and night, in blizzard or scorching heat. As soon as reaching adult age, he chose to honorably leave his tribe and abandon everything he knew for the sake of curiosity. Since then he has relished every opportunity to see more of Ellira and experience new things. Currently, he is looking for what his place in the world is.

Weapons: The sword seen in the Appearance, a two sided War Axe, and Hand to Hand combat.

Likes: A good fight, Honor, Loyalty, Fine Foods.

Dislikes: Tricksters, Arrogance, Traitors.

Strengths: Hand to hand combat, Heavy Weapons Mastery, and Wisdom.

Weaknesses: Charm Magic.

Theme Song: None

Other: He is considered old in Orcish age but it doesn't slow him down.
Is the Dwarves description supposed to be like that?

Also, I wanted to know if I could make an Orc character, not the dumb and savage ones but the shamanistic kind similar to The Elder Scrolls Orcs.

The Chaos Gods in the Warhammer universe are, according to the lore, formed from the thoughts and nightmares of all sentient beings, brought into the warp and formed into reality by the advent of psykers. I think a more accurate comparison would be the Ctan Gods, who came into existence during the Big Bang, and thus existed LONG before the Chaos Gods did.

Good point. It's because of those guys that the Necrons exist. Or a lot of things, really.
I'm interested. These incomprehensible entities that you describe remind me a lot of the forces of Chaos from the Warhammer 40k universe.
Damn, that's a lot of fears. I have three questions though.

First off what exactly will people be doing in this RP? Do we get to play as Fears, normal people or something?

Secondly, In The Rake description it mentions a person called "Jared Fleming" that "hunts Fears". Is there some kind of faction that kills these things or is that guy working alone?

And finally, do entities that represent the opposite of Fears like Hope or Justice exist?
