Bio

Hi there, I'm Vrrak, an oldy of an RPer that enjoys playing all manner of magical and mythical creatures, but mostly non-humanoids. I love RPs with a lot of magic and creative races and especially fairy dragons!

I try to be active for RPing for 4 hours a day in the evenings, as such I prefer slower paced RPs, but given my tastes I usually just take what I can get. If I don't respond in 24 hours (and it's not a weekend.) feel free to give me a poke. Due to the amount of time it takes me to make and read posts, I usually prefer actual casual standards (2-3 paragraphs and rarely more than that) and small groups of 2-7 players. If you got an RP going that you think I'd like to get in on feel free to pm me about it.

Wait, I am confused, your description of the order says the handle relations and deal with magic based crimes. Based on what you've been saying they also hunt down and kill/imprison innocent magical beings just for being a potential threat or magical.

Also the character planned was a small (car sized) dragon with druidic abilities that would work in a brawler role. The rest of the race description is background fluff and can be removed. If that's still not ok I can come up with something else.
Hey there everyone, I am Vrrak and I love playing all sorts of beasties and monsters and am the type of guy that thinks zerglings are 'cute'. I'm looking to play said things in a 1x1.

Now first off, I am slightly picky in the monsters I play, as in I prefer non-humanoids, meaning no orcs, vampires, or things that look kinda humanish. Temporary humanoid forms are ok if necessary. Also I tend to shy away from horror based monsters. I prefer sentient creatures that can speak most of the time. These are preferences for my character of course, you are free to play anything you want across from them.

As for the RP, please realize I often put a lot of time into just one paragraph, as such I prefer posts from both parties stay between 1-3 paragraphs if you want me to respond in a remotely reasonable time. Two paragraphs is the sweet spot. I aim for 1 post a day per RP (More if i have time/in the mood), so keep that in mind if that will be a problem. Also note that gore and extreme violence make me queasy, so don't expect too much of that to be involved despite my love of monstery things. I am more interested in adventure, slice of life, and romance themes.

I find romance between MxM pairings more enjoyable, especially the more weird or taboo pairings. My characters can get quite playful/flirty sometimes. MxF is perfectly fine though.

That said here's a list of my favorite monsters.

Fantasy Monster types:
-Dragons
-Fae Dragons – Butterfly-dragon hybrids that get their own mention cause they're so awesome and adorable.
-Gryphons
-Nagas (Snakier ones)
-Sea Serpents

Game/Toon Monsters:
-Zerg
-Vex (From dawngate)
-Pokemon
-Digimon
-Kharaa (Natural Selection 2)

OC Races:
-Nadrimi – Amphibious, poisonous dragons that are often playful in nature.
-Dream-Eater - Small wyvern like creature from a magical dimension the sustains itself by eating dreams.

I don't really use this site for adult themes, so don't really expect too much detail in that department.

If you're interested just leave a note here or in PM with what sort of thing you're looking for (Be as vague or specific as you want) and I'll be sure to get back to you!

Special cravings:
Mage's Familiar: Many of my smaller dragon's come in the magical familiar variety. And I would love to cause trouble with/for some magic user.

My pet zergling: One of my zergling characters has been severed from the hive mind and really doesn't know what to do with himself after that, and it turns out he is quite puppy like when not going on murderous rampages.

On second thought, this might be too large a group for me so I'll withdraw myself for now.
I'm interested if you'd be interested in another type of dragon trying to disguise itself.

Still kinda WIP with the villain name and his nemeses, but i'm sure you'll get the general idea.
I just kind of found it weird that people used this site instead of certain other ones that are a lot more geared toward smut rps.
Also interested. I assume there will be much backstabbing >:)
I am! I love playing anything non-human! =3
(Young dragon character to follow if this is acceptable, was also contemplating a fae dragon if that'll work better.)

Race: Dragon

Race description: Dragons are known for many things, immense physical power, ancient complex magics, natural shapeshifting ability, and an extreme disinterest in the races of short lifespans. These are the elder ones. Fortunately, most of the trouble making ones don't get old enough before their eventual demise at the hands of the rest of the world and the elder ones are quite content to not be involved with the trivial squabblings of lesser beings or even be seen for that matter. This leaves the younger generation as the more social of their kind. Until living through a couple generations, young dragons often mingle with the other beings. Prideful, arrogant, curious, and usually naturally proficient in some style of magic they often get tied up in some sort of drama among the other races. (AKA angsty teenage phase)

Young dragons often are only experienced enough at shapeshifting to hide themselves amongst humans before they are set loose, and tend to naturally specialize in one branch of magic depending on the breed and heritage. They have three forms, a human one that they often view as 'beneath' them to take (but will do so out of necessity), a hybrid form that similar to a half dragon, and a feral form where they can use the full extent of their power. While interacting with other beings they will often take their hybrid form, as thumbs are very useful and their feral form tends to be too large for moving about rooms. They will only begrudgingly take a human form out of necessity as most prefer to show of their draconic heritage (and superiority) if given a chance to. The feral form varies in size greatly between a small car and a bus, and comes with both sharp claws, a breath attack, and (usually) wings.

It is rare for a dragon to live past the age of 500, usually falling due to some sort of drama such as coming into conflict with an entire race or even worse angering an elder dragon to the point of action. Most of those that do are the smarter ones, and only the smartest and most diplomatic among them live long enough to be considered an elder drake.
In my history of RPs and hindsight, I often vanish from RPs that often end up taking more time commitment than I initially thought. This is often reliant on the other players, perhaps they're posting too much or too fast and I just can't keep up. I hate to call people out of that and it eventually gets to a point where I slide myself into the background and never post again. I've been upping my effort to not leave quietly anymore though.

Especially on this site it seems casual can be anything from 1 paragraph per post once a day to multiple pages worth 2-3 times a day. Then you've also got issues with speedposters and coming back to 60 new posts every day sometimes. There is a significant time commitment differences and it usually can't be even estimated until 2-3 posts into the roleplay.

I've been considering GMing an experimental roleplay with more strict upper and lower limits on post size and frequency to see if it retains players better.
