Bio

Hi there, I'm Vrrak, an oldy of an RPer that enjoys playing all manner of magical and mythical creatures, but mostly non-humanoids. I love RPs with a lot of magic and creative races and especially fairy dragons!

I try to be active for RPing for 4 hours a day in the evenings, as such I prefer slower paced RPs, but given my tastes I usually just take what I can get. If I don't respond in 24 hours (and it's not a weekend.) feel free to give me a poke. Due to the amount of time it takes me to make and read posts, I usually prefer actual casual standards (2-3 paragraphs and rarely more than that) and small groups of 2-7 players. If you got an RP going that you think I'd like to get in on feel free to pm me about it.

Just a note I'm working on a gun fanatic, will probably have the sheet ready some time tomorrow night.
I'm not particularly concerned with who's captain, but i don't think the character I had in mind would make a good one. xD

Depends on what type of pirates we plan on being.
I've got an idea for a devil fruit user so consider me interested.
Aerin gave a sort of smile at the other dragon. “I suppose, but i'm pretty sure I don't have blood, that girl appears to be made of water, and another from slime. A bit out of my league there. But with types like you I suppose I could help somewhat.” he mused, following after the dragon as she went to the portal.

He wasn't the most enthusiastic about going through bizarre unknown and probably dangerous portals either, but the sun was starting to get to him and it was so temptingly dark in there. He'd not try to stop the dragon girl from going in, but would hesitate a little bit. Finally, the fear of being left behind got to him and he floated through it, sliding almost immediately away from the light of the portal.

His whole body would shiver a little as his eyes flared up a little brighter from excitement. It felt so much better in the dark! Everything seemed to move a little slower to him once again as his mind sharpened up without the interference of the light distracting it. The sight with the spider though, as insignificant as the creature was, made him chuckle rather darkly at the thought crossing his mind.

“I may not be too familiar with the situation yet, but as a once human creature moving along with a group of human's turned in to strange beings, I do hope these spider creatures are not ex humans as well. I do hope you attempted to talk before attacking.” he'd state, a slightly more confident tone to his voice now that he was back in his element.
Aerin paused a moment, floating a bit lazily in the air and listening until Mia spoke up. Suddenly he'd perk right up, bright yellow eyes flaring up within his shadowy form. "Oh! That's right, medicine! I used to be a doctor!" he exclaimed in a moment of clarity and excitement. "Man, how did I forget that. Though I suppose that knowledge is mostly out the window now. Who knows what the heck is going on with people's bodies now. Though it seems like that isn't needed now Mia if that skill heals people, you should try and hone it. It seems like healing is going to be mighty important in the future with all this chaos" he says, gesturing to the background where hell was still breaking loose.

He had to think for a moment while the Pheonix ranted at the Golem over some sort of conspiracy theory. If this dragon was able to heal things with magic, maybe he doing something magical earlier in the mirror. He tapped his chin with a wispy black claw as he tuned out the background noise and thought briefly. "Ah, well if magic is a thing... I'd recommend not looking directly in to my eyes until I figure out how my new body here works, I think I accidentally caused a roof to fall on myself earlier. It seemed to be caused by seeing my eyes in the mirror. Then again the second time I did it i got this form which has turned out to be much better off. Eh, i need to find somewhere dark so I can focus better. The sun is... irritating."
Hey there everyone, I am Vrrak and I love playing all sorts of friendly beasties and monsters and am the type of guy that thinks zerglings are 'cute'. I'm looking to play said things in a 1x1.

I am not interested in lewd or mature themes. Romance is fine if you're in to such pairings, my monsters can be quite cute and snuggly when they get affectionate despite claws and fangs.

Now first off, I am slightly picky in the monsters I play, as in I prefer non-humanoids, meaning no orcs, vampires, or things that look kinda humanish. I tend to shy away from horror based monsters, and I prefer sentient creatures that can speak most of the time. Temporary humanoid forms are ok if necessary. These are preferences for my character of course, you are free to play anything you want across from them. I actually am rather fond of human+monster interactions

As for the RP, please realize I often put a lot of time into just one paragraph because I overthink things. As such I prefer posts from both parties stay between 1-3 paragraphs if you want me to respond in a remotely reasonable time. Two paragraphs is the sweet spot. I aim for 1 post a day per RP (More if i have time/in the mood), so keep that in mind if that will be a problem. Also note that gore and extreme violence make me queasy, so don't expect too much of that to be involved despite my love of monstery things. I am more interested in adventure, slice of life, and romance themes. That said here's a list of my favorite monsters.

Favorit fantasy monster types:
-Dragons
-Fae Dragons - Butterfly winged dragons that get their own mention cause they're so awesome and cute.
-Gryphons
-Nagas (Snakier ones)
-Sea Serpents
-Open to request here.

Game/Toon Monsters:
-Zerg
-Pokemon
-Digimon

OC Races:
-Nadrimi - Amphibious poisonous dragons that are often playful in nature.
-Dream-Eater - Small wyvern like creature from a magical dimension the sustains itself by eating dreams.

Adored themes:
-Playing as a gentle giant
-Being something flighty and adorable
-Forbidden romance (and romance in general)
-Extreme class disparity (Peasants with Royalty)
-Fantasy adventures.
-People getting transported to monster inhabited worlds.
-Monsters getting transported to modern human worlds (and having to hide)
-Temporary merging! Like to become an extra powerful being for a bit (Like Biomerge Digivolution)
-Being a familiar! Want to be all magic and stuff? Get a familiar to boost your spells and help you out! (Warning, may eat all your food)
Aerin had woken up in the basement of his home, like he had instinctively wandered there in his sleep. It was quite bright down there for some reason, put he paid it no mind. Bumping in to his shelf as he woozily got up he'd knock off a couple glasses he had been storing there. They fell in what seemed like slow motion to him, his shadowy hand moving forward to grasp it. That's when he saw it, a shadowy, amorphous hand, like it couldn't decide how it wanted to look and shifted between a claw, a hand, just a formless stump, all sorts of things. The glass would bounce off his 'hand' and fall and shatter on the floor. The strangest feeling would wash over him as some of the glass went through him.

It was then that he realized that he was no longer human, and also that the lights were completely off and he was seeing fine in near pitch black darkness. He needed to go find a mirror or something. "Keep it together Aerin" he'd huff a bit. It seemed he could control his state a little bit as long as he focused on it but when he finally made his way over to the door... it was locked! He made some efforts to force it with no luck, his new form wasn't to strong it seemed, despite all its new advantages, but then he realized something and tried just sticking his hand through. It went through with ease, so he jumped. The other side was blindingly bright though. It was almost painful, definitely uncomfortable. It only lasted a couple seconds though cause he'd immediate fall through the floor back in to the basement.

Try number two went a lot better, stepping thought the door and just enduring the brightness of the hole where the wall used to be he made his way to the closest mirror. After darkening the room as best he could he took a look. What he saw was bizarre to say the least, he was some sort of shadowy creature, form shifting indecisively as he watched. His eyes glimmered a bright yellow, and he could even see a grey aura around himself. Focusing on it a bit though his eyes would flash and it suddenly turned a dark black. After an odd burning sensation in his hand he notices a strange mark on his unformed hand. He barely had time to figure out what he'd just done when the roof collapsed right on top off him, a bookshelf from above. He barely reacted in time. As he crawled out through it, he felt the mark burn again, then it vanished.

He'd check the mirror again to find his coloring a little brighter that before and the aura grey again. His eyes flashed at himself again and the aura went white this time and that familiar mark returned. "Ah, god damn it, mirrors are bad." He said, trying to step away to somewhere safer only to trip over a book. It fell open before him to a very intriguing picture of an eastern dragon. The mark burned away again, but that mattered little as he felt himself changing again, his hand solidifying in to a 4 toed claw and stayed this way, everything seemed to solidify and suddenly the light wasn't as awful as before.

---

It had taken him a while to get his bearings, but Aerin, a shadowy six foot eastern dragon was now exploring through the streets. The chaos was shocking, terrifying, but he was just floating along and keeping to the shadows where it was safer for him. Everyone seemed to have both morphed and also gone insane it seemed, but at least he had kept his mind proper... maybe. Was he always this carefree in these situations? It wasn't too dangerous for a creature that could phase through walls so he was just sort of observing and testing out his new ability to float until he heard someone speaking nearby. A dragon and, a... gooey raptor? They seemed to be watching a bird thing and another dragon yelling in the distance. What a weird group, it peaked his curiosity though.

The shadowy dragon would slowly and silently float up to Mia and Celina by the bushes. "You seem to be sane ones over here since you aren't trying to kill each other" he say to announce his presence, beelining for the shade of the bushes "Well, mostly sane, I'd think anyone normal would be hiding based on what I've seen." he said before introducing himself. "Name's Aerin, use to be a... uh.." he started, suddenly drawing a blank and struggling to remember. "Helper.. person.. i think? Whatever, I'm just a shadowy dragon now it seems. Quite nice so far minus the extra brightness out here and the anarchy. Did you find anywhere safe to hide out yet?"

Name: Aerin
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Species: Shadow
Appearance: Prefers the form of a small chinese dragon with a mixture of dark blacks and 'light' greys (as light as a shadow creature can get). His coloring will shift toward one or the other based on what his hexes have been doing, a balanced state looking somewhat in the pattern like this:

Bio: Aerin was a doctor before the change, and generally lived a good and ordered life helping people and occasionally making some hard decisions. Around the chaos of the meteor he started to suffer doubts and mental strain over trying to assure his patients. It did not translate too well after his transformation and experimentation of his new magic and powers, causing a strange obsession with the concept of luck, part of the reason why he takes the form he does. The side effects of his powers warp his mind a little bit as well.

Before the awakening, he was a very kind soul, the type who wants to help every unfortunate soul he sees and is devasted having to give someone bad news. He had an interest in reading, hiking, golfing, swimming, and gardening. Usually he'd spend most of his free time when he got it doing those activities.

Skills:
Magic: Air, Water, Shadow

Hexes: Aerin can bestow hexes on anyone who gazes in to his eyes. These can either result in good or bad luck in the future. The strength of the curse or blessing depends on what balance he's been giving out previously. A blessing followed by a string of curses will cause something amazing to happen, a curse after a string of blessing will cause something abysmal. Each consecutive blessing will weaken until he bestows a curse on someone. A person can only have one of his blessings or curses on them at a time, and they can be canceled by performing good or bad deeds (the opposite) on other. It leaves a bruise or mark, a yin yang shape, somewhere on a being's form (usually the back of the hand, and it immediately gives a short burning feeling and vanishes when an event to fulfill it happens.

Living shadow: When cast in shadow or in darkness, he becomes extremely agile and perceptive. Can easily phase around through solid objects, and can morph his form very easily. When exposed to bright light he becomes very sluggish and weak and unstable, usually opting to phase into something solid for a while where there is no light to bother him.

Flight: He can hover and fly about at a whim. It seems like being upside down or sideways doesn't bother him at all.

Runes:
Other: The strength of his hex can easily be determined by his coloring before casting it, performeing curses fills him with lighter colors while blessing darkens him.
