Now I've never played any of it or anything, but I'm pretty sure you can just make up an island and say you're from there. There aren't 300 canon islands after all.

Eh, I'm thinking of it like the Poke men game. I guess they'd get sued by Nintendon't if they copied the elemental types exactly though.

@CaptainSully So since its 40 years after the original (Around 2035 I'm guessing) its in the future. How much have things changed/advanced in that time? And since its so far in the future most/all of the old gym leaders and characters would've retired so its kind of a new Kanto.
I'll reserve wind because... uh, wind erosion slowly wears down rocks after many years? And how does fire put out wind? Does it use up all the oxygen and hurt the air? Whatever, wind sounds cool.
