Current Any interest in a WW2 Casual roleplay about dogfighting pilots? I am itching for something fiery and full of explosions.

THE GOD KING

200 years ago, the continent of Aether was filled with bountiful life, ranging from animals to humans. Various kingdoms, cultures and societies filled the continent from sea to sea, and it was good. Wars would sometimes shake the core of the continent, but humans did what they always did. Magic ran through the veins of many, and societies of sages taught wizards and sorcerers new abilities daily. It was a golden age of opportunity and power, with kingdoms rising and technology exploding. The gods above were happy as well, even if their plans went awry from time to time.

However, this golden age had an end. Without much introduction, a man known only as Altar appeared on the horizon of the continent itself. Armed with powerful magic and artifacts, Altar carved out his own kingdom from the surrounding lands, and soon, war engulfed the continent once again. However, this war was much different then the last few. Altar slaughtered mages where-ever he went, utilizing fear to twist the minds of the local populace. Mages and wizards became targets of ridicule and executions, with whole families being wiped out. Altar proclaimed himself the "savior" of the continent, and his reach knew no bounds.

Altar eventually ceased his warring and raiding, crowning himself the "God-King of Aether". 200 years has passed since the kingdoms that resisted him had fallen. Only small duchies remain independent from Altar, but they too are falling fast. The new Altarian Empire spans the entire continent of Aether, and magic users are prosecuted daily. Whole covens of wizards have been wiped out since Altar took over.

You were a bystander in one of the most recent attacks. You were living in or at the very least staying, in the town of Aldbridge. A neutral city that was ruled by a merchant republic, Altar had decided their gold was not enough to sate his lust. Putting the town under siege, you were killed during the attack. Perhaps you were fighting the battle as a warrior for Aldbridge, or perhaps you were a citizen caught by a marauding band of Altarian soldiers. Regardless of the way you were killed, your soul was taken from your body by war.

Instead of returning to the heavens above however, something else happened entirely. You were reborn into a Revenant, a powerful creature that will not stop until Altar is dead and his empire toppled. The God-King has ended your life, and now, you must end his.

Can you stop a God?

Hi everyone! This is a fantastic, freeform RP that I have played in the past as both GM and as a player. This game requires at least 4 players, and will further require a very well-made character sheet. For now however, I am just looking for potential interest.

The game will have you being resurrected by an unknown force. No matter what you were before death, being resurrected has given you completely unnatural abilities. Your abilities will give you an edge over thousands of soldiers, and you will become my little destroyers. The game will be completely party based, with the four of you making decisions like who to assassinate or how to topple the God-king himself.

The game will be high-casual. Atleast a paragraph must be written for your post, though it does not need to be amazing every single time. I am just looking for good character progression and serious roleplay. As the GM, I will be providing NPC support, combat and more to create an epic tale between you and your companions.

So, will you take the plunge? Do you think you can kill Altar himself?

I am incredibly interested in this. First game that I clicked on since I joined the site. Probably going to be blown away by the others applications, but I am still going to throw my tiny hat in the ring.
