He is slightly built, with the beginnings of a six pack slightly visible, simply from walking everywhere and swimming on his school's competitive team. Though he has the shadow of a muscle build on his upper body, his legs and calves especially are well-defined. Ivan's movements are very controlled, and he walks with his shoulders. Skin the color of honey, he has very few scratches and marks although he does have a few dark brown freckles. His dark brown hair appears black out of the sun, and no matter the length, he keeps it slicked or brushed back. He has a mix of Caucasian and Asian features, as he is half Russian and half Thai. Ivan has shapely dark eyebrows and a firm jawline. His nose has a prominent bridge but is still rounded. His almond-shaped eyes are a silvery shade, assumed to be an aftereffect of his power. Ivan dresses fairly trendy but with a vintage feel with flannels, ripped jeans, denim jackets, gingham scarves, and fingerless gloves. He wears high tops and pairs bright colors with rich shades of black, grey, and brown.

Skills/Talents:

Though he can swim and run just fine, his stamina isn't anything to write home about. As far as physical activity goes, Ivan does better than average and is athletic enough to climb fire escapes with decent speed, but has never stepped foot into a gym or followed a workout regime. Strangely enough, he finds joy in opting away from locking away his possessions and instead finding hiding places for them. After gathering his diamonds or any other valueables, Ivan will stow them away in whatever small crevice he can find- between floorboards, taped under drawers or even dropped into jam jars. He does this partially because he is slightly paranoid of his things being taken, but does so at such a rate that he oftentimes forgets where specific objects are hidden. He is less inclined to hide his stuff in remote locations, and will stuff or line nearly everything inside his living area with money, diamonds, or whatever else fits. Besides being able to hide suspicious objects, Ivan is also fairly keen at humming showtunes.

Brief Backstory:

Born the child of a San Francisco-based software programmer and his mail-order bride from Thailand, Ivan has a happy urban life. Growing up in the affluent apartment buildings within the heart of San Francisco, Ivan always had a lot to do. When he was still an infant, NEST confronted his family, as his mother was revealed to be a Thai metahuman involved with crime that had fled to America fearing her life. His father had already figured this out, as her ability was to receive premonitions through water, and had used it to assist her husband in making the correct business ventures. NEST then registered both mother and child, as Ivan had begun to cry and his power had been revealed. His Mother always pushed him to do well in school, and as a result he has an incredibly close bond with her.

Ivan's ability to cry diamonds was mostly kept secret, and he never cried outside of the house. Most of his tears were collected and pawned away by his parents for him to use later, though some were also used to buy a new TV or coffee machine. Beginning to grow unsatisfied with his life during his teenage years, Ivan began to get in touch with a group of San Francisco-based metahuman extremists. Wanting to contribute to the greater good, Ivan eagerly agreed to be a part of a society that raised hell in the name of equality. Because even when he threw tantrums as a child, he could do little more than levitate a few diamonds, he supported the cause by acting as a facilitator, his diamonds bringing massive income to the group.

During a planned attack, the group was apprehended by NEST. Because they had access to resources such as getaway vehicles, firearms, passports and fake documents purchased with Ivan's income, further investigation was carried out. While Ivan was never directly involved with any attacks, the capital he provided for the group allowed them to stockpile illegal drugs and other outlawed possessions for their own benefit. Because of his clean record, he was able to avert any serious punishment and instead sentenced to enrollment of Camp ThinkerRock.

Diamond Generation
Incredibly, Ivan produces diamonds instead of water within his tear ducts. Compressed carbon will fall from his eyes if he is feeling particularly overcome with emotion. Unfortunately, these diamond shards are only the size of pearls, and do not clean his eyes in any way. They have the durable properties of any other diamond, and when freshly created, feel warm to the touch.

Diamond Manipulation
Ivan is able to manipulate the shapes of diamonds by bending them with his kinesis, but he usually needs to mold them with his hands to make things easier on himself. He can mold them together by clumping them, or even reverse the process by pulling them apart, or even grinding them into dust. He is also able to sharpen diamonds, or shape them into any form he likes for that matter, though the more precise the shape, the more difficult it will be for him. Any form a diamond is in is fair game for him to move telekinetically from a distance. However, because he never had the need to use the voluntary aspect of his power, his telekinesis with diamonds is incredibly poor. However, he is fairly adept at rolling spherical diamonds around, as opposed to moving diamonds through the air. He finds it easier if the diamonds have something to clutch and hold on to. In addition, because he is able to move diamonds, he can also sense any nearby diamonds within a 10 yard radius.

Limits:

Ivan can usually produce at any one time, enough diamond chunks to fill up one cupped hand. This is very little to use for anything. His telekinesis is also laughably useless, as not only is it low strength, it is also slow and wobbly. He is more comfortable with rolling chunks of sharpened diamonds along the ground or walls then levitating and throwing them, because sustaining them in the air without any outside force is often too much stress for him to handle. Currently, he can move at any one time a diamond chunk the size of a basketball. He is also limited to a radius of 10 yards. However, it is expected for his range, power, and speed to become stronger with continual use of his power.

Weaknesses/Drawbacks:

His telekinesis is incredibly weak, and is currently next to useless in a combat situation. In addition, his ability to sense diamonds will do him little good if he is unable to pull those diamonds to him. because he 'cries' diamonds instead of tears, he is also unable to cry unless he is overcome with emotion or something similar. Scratching his eye or irritating it with smoke will hinder him greatly, as not only will he not be able to cleanse his eyes, but no diamonds will be produced, either.

Camp ThinkerRock (Summer Camp for Superhumans)

Definitely interested! Summer camps have a lot of drama already, so if you add superpowers to it... There are a lot of powers I'm torn between. I imagine mind control is off the table, so would mist or diamond manipulation be alright? I don't have any solid ideas for what my character will be like yet, but once his power is chosen, the rest will probably follow.
