Oh I knew he wasn't blind, I was just exaggerating his poor vision.
Sean gently took the lighter from her hand and thanked her while putting the cigarette in his mouth. He leaned back a bit and used his free hand to shield the lighter from rain drops and tiny gusts of wind. He was looking for something to trade with her out of the corner of his eye, he was going to use the lighter but he must've lost his a long with that paper. Failing that Sean decided maybe he'd just wait and see if he could do anything or better yet if she would. He was about to hand the lighter back in the man next to them got up and answered his phone, he walked off talking into it, Maybe Sean was wrong and the guy was just kind of weird, it wouldn't be the first or last time there was a weird person in New York. He decided to just ignore him, probably just over-thinking it. " Thanks again." Sean said twirling the lighter in between his fingers so the bottom of the lighter ended up facing the girl. Sean hadn't even realized that the two people he walked over too had walked away quickly after he had left, he thought he saw the girl with the blind guy eying him, but shrugged it off.

"That's a cool accent, by the way." Sean said just trying to strike up a conversation, he'd have to play the long game on this one to see if there were powers involved with this girl, he wouldn't wait too long, he really just needed to provoke her powers if she had any or find a chance to subtly use his. "Where'd you get an accent like that from anyway?" Sean said; his own awkward way of asking where she was from. He glanced over to her, thick smoke made thicker by the cold air billowing from his nostrils. Sean tried to get a quick read on her, she seemed meek ostensibly, but there was something else deep down he just couldn't put his finger on it.

I SPAT MY DRINK OUT. Oh, congrats my friend. Now you've created distrust between Sean and Mari. Yay character development!

I can't wait to have SERMON TIME with your characters and Timothy.Ready your rosaries.

Shit sounds spooky
I find that in the middle of showering is the best time to post. Ideally not looking at what you're typing.
It may say OOC at the top of this thread but it sure is full if characters.

[Laughter track]
Sean squinted his eyes at the watch, in reality he had his own watch, although broke, it was just hidden under his jacket, and as soon as the man put his arm down he trade teleported their watches. There was no momentum in it, he did this as a subtle trick, unfortunately the man had bad vision so he might not notice, but he'd done this more than once to weed out fellow empowered so he could only hope he would notice. "Thanks for your time." Sean said bouncing his eyebrows at the man with a quick smile. He decided to try this trick a few times, someome would notice and with luck they would be empowered and with a little more luck they would be headed where he was, or at least know of it.

Sean made his way across the street, peeking looking around occasionally, he wanted to see what the deal with the man at the bus stop was. He noticed another person had joined him a few seats away, Sean without hesitation sat down in the space between the two he didn't make eye contact with either of them just sat forwards and looked left and right slightly before turning to face the girl sitting down. "Hey I don't suppose you have a light?" Sean said as he pulled out a slightly crumpled but mostly dry cigarette.
Reza silently complied and began to lead the way ahead, "I am Reza Kelm, I know Vicar here knows me, somewhat personally, I'm not all that bad though." Reza announced flippantly to the sister and the rest of the group. sure enough there was a large boulder protruding from the ground. The surrounding area appeared to be the same and his hideout's entrance didn't appear to have been breached. He looked back at the group, and to the beast who informed him of the undead underground. "I should highly doubt they're in my hideout, at least in my section anyway." Reza said arrogantly, he produced a small cylindrical piece of iron with a few notches on the bottom from his person and moved some small stones and grass out of the way"But uh... There is a series of old tunnels going through it, I've blocked them all of as they've collapsed, or just turn into dead ends" He said somewhat cautiously as he prodded the ground with his empty hand.

He finally found what he was looking for and stuck the bit of metal in a small hole in the ground, he turned the metal carefully and slowly, listening until an almost inaudible clicking of metal occurred, Reza switched his position and pulled up at the metal revealing that the metal acts as the key and the handle to his hideout. "Hold on." Reza said as he slinked into the hole, it was silent for a few seconds and if one were to look into the hole it would have been pitch black. Suddenly a soft orange light came from somewhere in the back of the hole, Reza popped up with a lantern in hand. He looked around for a moment making sure everyone was still there. "Come on then, I'm alive aren't I?" Reza said ushering the group into his pseudo-home. Reza went on ahead and began to look through his things, there were a few jars of vegetables, mostly pickled, some slabs of various meat kept in salt and other assorted goods meant to last.

Reza set the lantern down on a small table that was placed by a single chair, and in a corner was a dusty old cot. It was clear this place was meant to house one person but there was juat enough room for people to move about, albeit limited. The most notable factor of Reza's hideout was the various things he had stolen and not sold, undoubtly the group would recognize a few relics of the town here and there.
Finally got a post up, it seems like people are converging at this station, myself included. And since you're on a train currently I think it'd be safe to say you could end up there.
Sean had made it out of alphabet city after his scrap with the soldiers. There were still three or four soldiers out there, looking for him but by now he assumed they lost him or regrouped somewhere. Sean now walked through downtown Brooklyn, right down avenue D, in and out alleyways It seemed like the safest route, Sean reached into his pocket and much to his dismay what he was looking for was not there. A small slip of paper with hastily written directions to the supposed safe house of empowered or at least the general area of where it was supposed to be. He cussed under his breath and sighed, it didn't help that this city was so fucking confusing.

With silent resignation, Sean decided it wasn't worth it to go back, he was tired and hungry, the latter more so. He walked around for a bit before he finally found a diner, he had a bit of money stashed on him, it wasn't a lot but he could eat for a few days. Sean went in and sat down quickly and ordered a burger and fries, simple and filling. As he ate, he began to think, he'd have to find another empowered, which unfortunately was not easy to do. Either you show off what you can do and hope they reciprocate, or you catch them I'm the act. The best bet was to find a big area and look for the out of ordinary, or catch someone using a power in a small way, it was risky and dumb but his only choice.

Sean threw a few bills on the table and left, he walked for a bit before he saw a large station, an ideal place to people watch for the truly strange, before he even entered the station he noticed a somehwhat suspicious situation; a man sat at a bench and carefully eyes two people across the street, not in a passing matter buy an intent, yet sly gaze making sure they don't go far or do something. It was a streach sure, but it was worth a look, he decided to instigate a little bit. Sean walked across the street acting like he wasn't paying much attention before he got to the two people talking. "Hey, real sorry to bother you, but either of you got the time?" He was at the same time sizing the two up, they both seemed outwardly normal. Save for the man's hair he was normal, looked smart and dressed similarly. The girl was similar, he noticed a brief glimpse of color on her wrist, a tattoo. It was hard to tell what it was not that it mattered, but he'd remember that. At the same time, he was hoping the man at the bench across the street would think he was suspicious or notice the gun jammed down the back of his pants.
