Madigan is a redheaded girl above average height, being five foot nine and weighing a healthy 153 pounds. She is of Greek descent, both of her parents having been born in Santorini, Greece. In her family, Madigan is noted by her relatives as having a refined face with a natural slyness in her eyes. As such, she has been called Foxface by her grandparents ever since she has hit puberty. Before she goes to breakfast or goes to bed, Madigan performs a regiment skin care ritual on her face in order to keep it clear and soft and often places protective hair products in her strands to keep it silky and shiny.

When it comes to her physical appearance, Madigan doesn't care too much and as such prefers comfort over beauty. She likes to wear skinny jeans and t-shirts and keeps her hair down with almost no jewelry (though she does her makeup often). However, if she plans to go to a party, Madigan will dress up, dressing in dark, sleek and form-fitting clothing with her favorite leather jacket. Despite being of a healthy weight, Madigan hates working out and would rather just eat junk food and sleep. But, she forces herself to go running every now and then, but the lack of her weight is mostly due to great metabolism.

Madigan is known foremost for her snarky, sarcastic humor. She says what is on her mind and delivers it with incredible wit, unafraid of hurting others' feelings. She is independent and hates relying on others, but would rather deal with things herself. She is bitter and world-weary after her mother's death and being betrayed by her ex-boyfriend, who she had fallen for quickly. She has a low opinion of men because of her bad experiences, and thinks of them as master manipulators as well as oppressors. Often times her harsh humor and acerbic way of interacting with people can hurt others' feelings and she usually doesn't notice it or care. In this way, she can be sort of selfish and she's afraid of getting her heart hurt again, by friends or romantic interests. With her friends, she is goofy and playful and she doesn't care about what people think about her, possessing a confidence that many are envious of. She loves to make people laugh and loves to mess around. However, she is a studious student who loves the pursuit of knowledge.

Madigan was born the only child to Alexis and Ambrosia Ioannidis. Both of her parents are from Santorini, Greece, where they lived before moving to America in order to escape economic crisis. Madigan was born in Florida, though she can speak Greek, and lived a quiet life there. The family was very much happy, until they discovered that Ambrosia had cancer. The cancer was too far gone to do much about it, and around the time that Madigan was fifteen, Ambrosia died. Madigan was heartbroken, but her father was worst off – he would mope around his room and never leave the house, doing his work from home.

When Madigan was seventeen, Alexis came out as bisexual to his daughter and introduced her to his boyfriend, Daniel. Daniel was a professional drag queen who worked at a bar in the city and was notorious for his wit. Madigan struggled to accept Alexis’ new relationship, because she had always thought he was straight, and she felt as if he was trying to replace her funny and clever mother with Daniel. Not only that, but Madigan and Daniel didn’t get along due to similar personalities and Madigan was often at his throat. Despite Madigan’s dislike for Daniel, Alexis still tried to keep the peace and forced them to spend time together.

Around this time, Madigan began dating a boy a couple of years older than her. She was head over heels for him and, when she discovered he was indebted to a drug dealer, Madigan got involved and paid his debt with money she snuck from her father’s wallet. Her father found out and was pissed at her, grounding her for several months. Madigan could not contact her boyfriend, and when she was ungrounded and went to go see him, she found out he had left her for someone else. Heartbroken, Madigan became bitter and angry, especially now that the drug dealer was lurking around and harassing her to sell drugs for him. Daniel chased the drug dealer away and comforted Madigan with a bunch of ice cream and chocolate and Madigan finally accepted him into the family.

When Madigan graduated from high school, she didn’t know where to go. However, Daniel’s younger sister went to Midnight Private Academy and he convinced Madigan to go there for her major in Anthropology. It is currently her second year at Midnight Private Academy.

Danni is more mature and responsible than her parents-- a source of both admiration and consternation for her father. She is very bright, enjoys school, and is dedicated to doing what's right.
While her father often counsels her to enjoy her life and misbehave from time to time (as he had), Danni wrestles with the fact that, on one hand, she is mature beyond her years. but on the other, she is still young she sometimes has a impulsive nature that tends to get the better of her at times, much to her father's worry.

She attended a private high school. she barely seemed to have time for a party-girl social life, but has just enough of her father's genes to get into trouble every now and again.
