As far as I can tell, she was accidentally sucked into the fight, or, she purposefully threw herself into it in order to help her brother. She, with two other partners, found a way into the sealed, losing battle.

Allow them to reveal it in the way they wish. As good leaders and wise planners, they will prepare their message to boost morale. The danger of Nemid is that he or she can exert strong control over people’s minds, especially when they are down and low. If this happens to people in the IA, they could be used to subvert the government and endanger the universes to Nemid’s consumption.
