In the Demon World

Hey guys, so I'm currently working on the interest check for new players, and the way I'm framing it is they will initially have to pick a kingdom to start in, and from there can choose to populate sanctioned areas of those kingdoms however they choose. Some will be appointed overseers of certain territories, others can choose to pledge alligiance to their kingdom, and set off as explorers of the forbidden lands or generals/soldiers of the Kings' armies. Others can work in the castles or be other court royals. Eventually others can earn kingship from their king and can be appointed ruler over one of the other kingdoms/sins, to make up for the other ones we lost as well as for the second group of kings coming from the academy in case that doesn't pan out. Basically open world, so they can populate the kingdoms, while also providing a backdrop for whatever direction we take the rp, that way they can be a part of our mainstoryline, but can also keep a secondary one, to liven up the kingdoms and even add some side stories of their own. That in mind, I would like each of you to give me a little excerpt about your king or queen, in relation to your sin, and the location and important features of your main territory. This way we can give them a little idea of the type of rulers you are, and the ambitions you have for your kingdom. Give them an idea of if you're more geared towards exploring the forbidden lands, or maybe growing your population and keeping the people happy. Ruthless conqueror, hero of the people, or whatever in between I guess. Just whatever you think will appeal to the types of characters you want in your kingdoms. Also if you could make note of any specific roles or characters you want to have filled as necessary to your character. So, if guys want a specific person to be like the kings advisor, grand council members, generals of the armies, Queen's maidens, jester, court royals, whatever you want to join as primary character's to your kingdom. All other character types and roles will be left up to the people who join and then can be approved as they come. Anyway I'm rambling but yeah, just whatever yout need to entice people to your kingdoms.

"I suppose not" she simply agreed, shifting her attention towards the knock on the door, intent on the messenger as he spoke. She was mildly curious, of course, but had no desire to sit in on such deliberations, she would see them soon enough.

"Go on ahead" she called after Neven, with a smile, ushering the maid she'd chosen earlier back into the room as he left.

"Could you draw me a bath dear?" She asked the girl, and without a moment spared the she took off to complete her task. "Also..." Penelope stumbled about the suite for few seconds, locating her things "I'm not sure where my bags were placed, but my robes are in there as well."

The girl appeared in the doorway once more, her gaze slightly averted "Would you have them ironed mam?"

"Please" Penelope answered with a smile once more, looking over the girl more carefully this time. She seemed so young. Maybe around her sisters age, she supposed, with midnight black hair, braided neatly down her back. If she had been dressed differently, she could have passed for any other normal girl her age. But she heard what the Butler said earlier.."we have to name them..? she pondered silently. "How could I be expected to name someone?"

Aimlessly wafting about the room she found herself gazing out of the window, her eyes fixated on the fountain once more. "No..no, I'm sure she had a name..."

"But how does one end up here, if not the way I've come...?"

"Mam, your bath." The girl spoke, startling Penelope from her thoughts.

Almost embarrassed, Penelope shuffled off quickly to enjoy her bath while it was still hot, eager to shed her clothes from the day of travel and lay her mind at ease.

Merrily, Penelope soaks in the bubbly concoction, lightly exchanging words with the girl from across the two rooms, as she gently ironed Penelope's silk gown and robes for the evening.

We could actually use a ton, I wouldn't mind posting an interest check to get some people to join. I think we could bring in a a good amount if we give them some.variety. they can try and be court officals, royals, servants, regular citizens, and probably most fun, explorers of the forbidden lands (:

"Our..kingdom?" She repeated back to him. Whatever would she need a kingdom for? And weren't kingdoms normally given to next of kin? She wasn't even sure where she was let alone how anything in this strange place could be called her own. She turned to face him then, armed with a barrage of questions ready to fire off, but he'd sunk into the bed rather comfortably by then, and instead she found herself tracing the features of his resting face with her eyes. If she could focus on that she could ignore the panic in her chest. She was so desperate to leave the school she hadn't cared before where they went at the time. Now, finally free, she couldn't help but long for home.

Neven on the other hand seemed so very content with it all. Since their first dance and up until now, Penelope found herself leeching from the peace he always seemed to be at. His calmness eased her nerves and urged her to play along a bit longer.

I'm glad you guys are pleased with it. Hopefully my king hasn't dropped the rp because of my hiatus. I'll try and get a post up and see.

Map Legend

This is the map of The demon world, divided into our kingdoms as best as I thought would suit everyone's wishes. It notes our castle locations as well as the Isles of greeting, where we are currently at in the rp, and where we will divide the land IC, as well as Hades Centralia, where Hades resides when he isn't with us at the isles. Other key places are explained below.

The lower portion of the map belongs to King Ruomahl and Queen Pandora, The upper portion to King Kosdar and Queen Havennah.

The Isles, being closer to King Kosdar, are under his protection and considered apart of his area; their upkeep are his responsibility. The isles themselves, however are neutral. They are under no kingdom's control, and is Hades second home. They are used to hold and greet new royalty when they arrive for the first time, until their portions of kindom's are decided.

The Forbidden lands, being closer to King Ruomahl, are under his authority. Their exploration for habitable territories is his responsibility. The lands themselves, however, are neutral. Any kingdom may send explorers to chart and begin habitation of the lands as they see fit. Once the Forbidden Lands have been fully charted, they too will be divided amongst the kingdoms.

Lake Pandora, characterized by an everlasting and otherworldly mist carried in from the sea is home to Lake Pandora Sanctuary, a small isle which lay just off the coast; beyond King Ruomahl's Castle. They belong to Queen Pandora to use as she sees fit.

The Havennian Springs, a grouping of fluctuating oases, littered about the Capital city of Levander, is home to King Kosdar's Castle, among several other disappearing springs, rumored to hold waters possessing magical capabilities.

Hades Centralia is home to Hades himself. The entire land is forbidden unless invited by His Excellency.

That established I want to apologize for taking so long, but I have been very sick as of late. I got to leave the hospital two days ago, so I am getting better, but at the start of my vacation I developed a pretty severe case of strep throat along with a sinus infection. (sorry, gross, I know ;-;) I haven't been able to talk much, and spend most of the time sleeping it off. I would really love to keep this going, and now that I'm feeling somewhat better I can post regularly between naps.

"Oh..I see" peneleope stood then and strolled over to a large double paned window in the seating area. Pulling back the curtain she could see the view overlooked a small courtyard and there she kept here eyes fixated on the water swishing intracately in a marble fountain.

"Our personal section?" She questioned. She understood the implication of leaving with Neven, but the purpose of the arrangemen was still unclear to her at that time. "Of this estate?" She asked warily.

Penelope set her bag down briskly in front of the waitstaff and gave the mansion a once over. It wasn't particularly grand but it was obvious someone had made preperations for their arrival and that was fair enough for her after spending so much time cooped up in the academy.

She left Neven to select the attendants he desired and only let her eyes and ears trail back to the others when he spoke to her again. He wanted to see their rooms and albeit somewhat overwhelmed she was curious to see where she'd be staying as well. Turning to a female in the line up she handed the girl her handbag and a gave cheery smile

"Will you be my personal attendant?" She asked. The woman probably didn't have a choice, but she had no intention of forcing her to join her if she would have rathered joining Bessie and Blake. She would have waited for her response however Never was in a rush to view their living quarters, and as he turned to leave she turned on her heels and trailed off behind him.

Again she couldn't say she was impressed by their suite but it was certainly better than the school apartments, and for that she was grateful.

"Yes, this will do fine" she assured him of her satisfaction with a wide grin before making her way over to a plush sitting chair and sinking heavily into the cushions. "Do you know how long we'll be here.." A thought struck her then, one she should have had ages ago. "..or where "here" even is?"
