Name: West Virginia State Trooper Marvin "Clint" McClintock
Age: 66
Gender: Male
Appearance: Height: 5'6 (5'9 with hat) Wiry Build, Appalachian drawl, keeps a tin of peach Skoal in his breast pocket (a habit picked up from his time stationed at Fort Benning in Georgia) Picture included from his time as Deputy Sheriff, discharged for "conduct unbecoming".
Agency/Organization: West Virginia State Trooper - CURRENT Blackriver County Deputy Sheriff - DISCHARGED Blackriver County Volunteer Fire Brigade -DISCHARGED 3rd Ranger Battalion Medic - DISCHARGED
Education: Enlisted out of High School, 14 years Army, 9 years Fire Brigade, 11 Years Deputy Sheriff, 4 Years State Trooper
Background: Born and raised in Blackriver county, Marvin McClintock always knew he'd be a soldier. He wanted to help people and in his mind there was no better way. Though his mother pushed her son to become a doctor or a lawyer (anything safer than a brute she'd say) Marvin knew he'd do the most good overseas. It was with a heavy heart then he learned the reality. Recruits were treated with little regard and he soon became disillusioned and hardened, surely the goal of any boot camp Sargent.
Taking his welts, McMlintock pushed on, determined to aid the world despite the cost to his own well being. Sadistic higher ups persisted throughout his career, questionable orders leaving noncombatants dead and dying. Seeing the destruction he had wrought pushed McClintock into becoming a medic and eventually a Ranger. Those capable of the greatest good are capable of the greatest evil and he would be there to clean up after them. He would spend the next 12 years moving between Fort Benning and the front lines tending to the sick and wounded.
Eventually caught smuggling supplies to locals, Clint as he'd become known was kicked out of the army and stripped of all titles. Returning home, he was determined that what he had done was right and wouldn't be stopped by titles or rank. Volunteering for several local agencies his hot head and disregard for authority eventually landed him as little more than a beat cop. Living as a state trooper, Clint now spends all his free time at his Farm "Fort Pending" prepping for the worst and growing enough food to stay alive.
His job as a Trooper was quiet enough before the county got it's very own killer. Gruesome and elusive, reports began coming in from all over Blackriver and even some of the surrounding populaces. It was Roy who told him to go home that night. Trooper Moralez and Trooper McMlintock had been working in tandem for months before shit hit the fan and Clint hadn't slept in days following the recent increase in cases. His contacts at the Sheriff office were inclined to "misplace" records so long as Clint kept them in the loop on the states' findings, an arrangement the renegade McClintock was eager to uphold. He got the call the next morning: Moralez was dead.
Personality: A man of principles, Marvin is driven to do what he feels is right regardless of laws, sanctions or public opinion. This regard for human life is what drove him to become a combat medic and ultimately an Army Ranger. Selfless and stubborn, if Clint McClintock can't do what's right he does what's left.
Likes: Self-sufficiency. Morality. Chewing Tobacco.
Dislikes: Callousness. Dependency. Withdrawals.
Fears: McClintock fears more than anything being helpless. His age is a constant reminder that soon he will be an invalid. To watch the world around him completely out of his control is why he pushes everyday to retain his faculties.
Bonds & Opinions: TBD
Skills:
Gifted(+5): First Aid, Surgery - His years as a medic both in and out of combat have made him an expert at human physiology
Adept(+3): 3 skills Subterfuge, Marksman (Long Guns & Handguns)-At odds with his superiors while on deployment, McClintock would often disregard orders smuggling medical supplies and food to locals off base.
Average(+2): 3 skills Crafting, Demolitions, Engine Mechanics - His time in the military providing a baseline for both his mechanical know how and distrust of the powers that be, Clint has taking to living off the grid on his simple farm outside Blackriver. Whether prepping for the worst or merely fixing his tractor, McClintock has become adept with machines
Novice(+1): 4 skills Psychology, Interrogation, Persuade, Hand to Hand - A mastery of the human body has provided insight on posture, inflection and just where to strike to get his point across most effectively. With little formal training this is a novice skill set.
