The Forbidden Door

Rascal watched as a slightly flustered Evelyn jumped onto the bus. He waved to her and wondered whether she would say hey or not. It didn't matter to Rascal so after a quick wave he glanced out the window. He searched his pocket for headphones. AFter eventually finding them he plugged them in and blared out some good old Breaking Benjamin as he watched the scenery speed by... well it kind of jittered by because of how the old coach jumped about unstably and you wouldn't believe how it tilted when it turned, that had to be some kind of health hazard!

Luckily most people thought he was a little weird so they hadn't bothered to sit next to him so that was a plus and this trip seemed pretty awesome in itself. He saw the park loom nearer and nearer as his anticipation heightened.

"Asdfghjkl Cant wait!" He mumbled to himself and blushed hoping no one had heard...

Rascal looked to Evelyn slightly surprised and watched as she walked away. 6 years sure was a long time, Rascal didn't talk much himself but normally had to at least once a month or something like that.
He stood himself and almost contemplated running off for the day but he knew they would stop the trip and everyone would hate him for it so he just went in search of a sister but instead bumped into Mother.
"Mother do I have to go swimming?" He asked know she would understand about his scars, he didn't want people seeing them and hopefully Mother would catch on.
"I thought you would say that" She smiled and handed him a full body diving suit "You better be in that water or your in lots of trouble"

After jokingly threatening him she walked away and Rascal looked at the present... Wow he thought to himself I haven't been swimming in years... I might as well give it a go!
After that he ran up to his room and put the suit on underneath his normal clothes and walked back outside for a second smoke before leaving knowing he wouldn't get one for a while.

Rascal smiled awkwardly as he heard Evelyn complain
"I hear ya!" His stutter was gone for a moment at least, this topic was much more enjoyable "Water, swimsuits everything is just ugh"
He laughed and stood
"I'm probably gonna pretend I left my suit behind and hope they don't bring the spares"

Mother glanced to the children and cleared her throat loudly, drawing the attention of a few of them before she began to speak.
"Right Right my dears listen up!"
The majority of the kids glanced to her and the quiet chatter settled down.
"As you all know, we have a new guest stay with us and as it is a wonderful morning we have decided it a good time to get you all out for some fresh air."
Most of the crowd groaned imagining it was some kind educational trip. Mother smiled slightly imagining there surprise when they hear what it really was.
"We will be heading to a..." She paused jokingly for suspense but no one seemed to take the joke "Water Park!"
She slipped the tickets out the envelope and waved them as the children began to whoop

"Remember to wear a swim suit and if you have none we have prepared a few" She resumed her normal authoritive tone and sat down while people went about there business.

Rascal recognised Evelyn's reaction after seeing her glance away a little, both of them seemed to not know what to say but Rascal wasn't sure whether to leave it or not so he tried to spark a conversation.
"The..." He paused and looked outside "Its... urm sunny... yeah so... maybe a trip??.... do... erm you remember the last trip?"
He groaned mentally at his own patheticness and tried to keep his eyes on Evelyn rather than looking to the floor and biting his lip.
He half succeeded... He was biting his lip and looking at her neck, seemingly fascinated by it...

'Oh how awkward' He groaned to himself for a second time and waited for Mother or someone else to tell everyone what was happening

Rascal saw a girl he believed to be called Evelyn sitting in the corner glancing at him and heard her cough quietly. He immediately blushed realising he hadn't done anything to get rid of the tobacco smoke. He hated talking but also felt bad so he forced a smile and spoke
"Sorry... Er.. y..you know wh..what this... is..s?" He stuttered his voice rasping a little from disuse, this made him more uncomfortable and he looked to the floor while people continued settling in.

Sister Mary Lawrence left the room of children and went upstairs to the closet, she unlocked it and pulled out an envelope. Inside a set of tickets where arranged for an outing, she walked swiftly back downstairs to the room and handed the envelope to Mother
