By the time she had reached the lobby Ylva was drenched. Her glance swept across the small room. There weren't many people. In fact it was almost empty, but as always the seats next to the fire place were already taken by someone else: A talkative girl who was seemingly amused with herself and a man who listened to her words - with an obviously exasperated expression on his face. Ylva hesitated, normally she'd prefer to stay clear of annoying people but at the moment her clothes had to dry.

"Um - you surely don't mind if I stay here for a little while."

Ylva didn't wait for an answer. Instead she just dropped her dripping wet coat and knelt down by the small fireside; warming her hands and hoping her presence had gone largely unnoticed.

Aurland, Norway. Day One.

Ylva looked out of the window and sighed. She disliked mornings, especially when they were dark and rainy. For a few moments she stood there, wondering whether she should go outside at all. Why had she even signed up for this?

Noone else from the Academy had wanted to go; most of them were neither immune nor did they consider themselves to be lunatics. She didn't need money either, for all she knew their wages were ridiculously low and Ylva had saved enough money from her work at - the outpost.

Ylva broke away from her thoughts, got dressed and grabbed her backpack. After she had paid the receptionist for her room she left the hostel. The air outside was damp and cold. It was raining heavily. Ylva pulled the hood of her coat up while heading for the direction of the docks.

Since you all have manga pics and I dont appear to find one... I just made a very basic description for now.

Ylva Sørensen

Personality:
Calm and serious, sometimes pedantic. Having witnessed an outbreak she lost her sense of humor. She doesn't seem to like sarcasm. At all.
Outsiders generally consider her to be rather frigid.
However, even though Ylva doesn't like to admit it she can be caring and empathetic, willing to risk her life for complete strangers.

Brief Bio:
Ylva spent most of her childhood in the Norwegian Settlement of Leikanger. After her magic abilities were discovered she moved to Iceland to begin her training at the Academy of Seiður. At the age of 19, when she had finished studying, Ylva relocated to her home country to support the cleansers at the frontline. There she worked primarily in the background, treating the wounded and spotting abominations along with the guard cats. Due to her lack of shooting skills Ylva has never encountered any of the larger beasts until recently, when the outpost she was stationed at was overrun. Thanks to her defensive magic she survived, among with a few others.
Shortly after these events Ylva decided she needed an outtime and went back to Reykjavík where she caught the attention of some local officials; who convinced her to join a certain expedition.

Description: Her haircolour is dark brown; her eyes are green. Her skincolour is pale, for a Norwegian she is pretty short (with 5'5'').

Oh and btw Len, trying not to be nitpicking but you wrote my name three times wrong; I'm not a tiger. ^^
