I am interested in this roleplay. It reminds me of The Devil Is A Part Timer. Could I join?? :o

Sure thing!
So...a teen girl that doesn't know she's got magic ability is possible?

Absolutely!
Okay here it is

Let me know if you need any more information about the world, or an example profile, or anything like that.
Earth, a planet once full of magic and creatures, faced its first otherworldy threat shortly after the development of civilization. Demons coexisted with the humans, goblins, fairies, and other beings who lived on Earth with only minor conflict, having traveled from the Netherworld through naturally occurring portals. The Great Demon War began when a being who became known as the Demon Lord united the seven Demon Rexes, the most powerful leaders in the Netherworld, and attacked Earth in full force. The other creatures of the Earth banded together to fight off the demon threat, but were almost defeated. Things looked hopeless until a band of heroes broke into enemy territory and slew many of the Demon Lord's most powerful leaders until defeating the Lord himself in combat. With the Demon Lord gone, humanity was able to cast a powerful spell, one that washed over the planet and drove most of the demon army back to the Netherworld, and created a barrier that stopped the most powerful ones from coming back. Demons called this spell "the outcasting". The effect of this spell dampened the power of magic around most of the planet, leaving only a few "hot spots" of magical power and turning many species against the humans. Several smaller wars followed until humans dominated most of the globe and other creatures were pushed back to the corners, and over time humanity had been lead to believe that these beings were only myths and legends that they themselves created. It was a drastic measure, but it ended the war that consumed the cradle of civilization and the continents surrounding it, and prevented any more demon armies from entering Earth again.

On the other side of the planet, thousands of years later, rested a town called Amber Valley, Oklahoma, an island in a sea of wheat and corn. When it was founded it was a place for farmers to buy and sell, but when farms started requiring less people to work them, manufacturing found a foothold in the town. Now that a new mall is opening up, the town is threatened to be changed even more, and a lot of people are starting to worry that soon the town won't look like itself anymore. But a lot of the people in town never looked like how everyone thinks they look. The town of Amber Valley was built upon a magical hot spot, and as a consequence a small fraction of the town's people are secretly not human.

Even among the magical beings of the world the Demon Lord is now a figure of legend, but there are those who believe that the Demon Lord could return to life. Among them is ORDER, an organization founded by the descendants of the heroes who defeated the Demon Lord in the past. ORDER had tasked themselves with preventing anything magical from revealing themselves to human knowledge and preparing for the possibility of the Demon Lord's resurrection, but over the millenia the magical world began to police itself, and the promise of another battle with the Demon Lord faded. Their charge was almost forgotten, until they discovered that the Demon Lord had suddenly been born again, his soul transferred to a new body by his patient minions.

Character Sheets

Name:
Faction: Are you with ORDER, or the Demon Lord? Or neutral, or with someone else entirely?
Species: Check species area for key information.
Gender:
Age:
Appearance: Either a picture or a description is fine by me.
Personality:
History: If you need to invent any areas of the town for your character, go for it, as long as it's plausible for the setting.
Skills: Any talents your character has that could be considered non-magical.
Magic: Any magical abilities your character has. There will be opportunities to gain or strengthen powers during the RP, so don't splurge on superpowers just yet. No time travel, mind reading, or seeing the future outside of backstory.

Post the profiles in the OOC first, then to the character sheet page after they're approved.

If your character is a member of ORDER, chances are they have a parent with magical powers. Here's a short profile you can make for their parent, however there will be things to keep the parents busy other than looking for the Demon Lord's new body. ORDER has gotten very lax over the years. How much your character has been taught about the magical world or how much their powers have been trained is up to you.

Species Info

Any kind of mythical creature can be assumed to exist in this universe, but I have a set idea for how a couple species function. However I am always open to suggestion about them. You don't necessarily have to read any hiders about species that your character doesn't know much about, as information will be revealed throughout the RP as well.

Djinn (genies), Archons (angels), Infernals (lava monsters), and Dragons (dragons) are also species with already determined characteristics. You should PM me before creating a character that involves any of them.

Not a lot of exposition so far, but the RP is about exploring and investigating a secret world, so I tried to only mention what was necessary to make characters and get started, but feel free to ask if anything needs to be explained. Additionally, there is a lot that I'll be tailoring to your characters, such as your fellow classmates, so I'll get started on those after I see some character sheets. How much you see of the Demon Lord from the beginning will depend on how many evil characters get made, and I'd like to see a couple of ORDER kids first, enough to form a decent party of heroes. That being said I won't stop you from following your heart.
I'll post the OOC later today, after work.
No, I mean I was going to set it in the modern day unless everyone really wanted it to be in the 80's. We can do extreme bullies in a more modern setting though, definitely. I just like the idea of mythical creatures having access to modern technology.

Do people want the Demon Lord's identity to be a secret to everyone playing in addition to the characters, like a complete mystery? In the previous version of this RP I had the identity revealed from the beginning, because we had people playing minions of the Demon Lord.

I'm going to start on the OOC soon. Mostly stuff necessary for making profiles, since a lot of the NPCs and episodes will be made to fit the characters you all have.
An 80's movie midwestern American town sounds like a better idea for the setting, I can definitely go for that. I was still planning on setting it in the modern day, unless someone has an argument against it.
Thousands of years ago the people of Earth fought off an invading army of demons in the Great Demon War, lead by the Demon Lord. The Demon Lord was defeated by a band of heroes, and the demons were repelled from Earth by a giant spell that shielded the Earth from their realm, but weakened magic on Earth in the process.

In the present, humanity has forgotten the magical world, and has been lead to believe that they created those myths and legends themselves. However, the minions of the Demon Lord have finally found a host to posses the Demon Lord's soul, and he's been resurrected in the body of a high schooler. The descendants of the heroes who once defeated the Demon Lord now must try and discover whose body the Demon Lord's soul is occupying before his minions can fully resurrect his old form.

Well, that's the premise of the RP I want to start, anyway. I had a lot of fun with this story on another forum, but I wanted to give it another go here. I expect most of the RP to be fairly light-hearted, given the premise of the story, but as this is a very major event in the world of these characters there will be serious moments as well, so expect variety in tone. I'm posting this to the advanced forum because, despite the goofy plot, there will be a lot of detail in the world and I expect a lot of detail in the characters. Much of this RP is about building a world for your characters to explore and investigate, so a lot of description will be necessary.

As well as knowing who is interested, I'd like to know where people want the RP to be set and whether or not the Demon Lord's bodyguards should be playable. In the previous version it was set in a fictional city in Japan, as everyone agreed it was a very "anime"-like premise, and several people played minions of the Demon Lord. I already have a location list for the Japanese city, but I can change it if people want the RP to be set somewhere else. As for characters, I found having the Demon Lord's minions to include playable characters to be more interesting, but only because I didn't intend for the story to be an actual mystery for the players, as the Demon Lord's identity was a revealed character at the start. Unless people seriously object or we don't have enough people for two decent sized teams, I'll probably keep the Demon Lord's minions playable.

I plan for the RP to follow several "episodes", major events which involve all of the characters, with "investigation" segments in-between in which your characters can freely explore and interact with each other. How I structure the episodes depend greatly on the characters and location, but I'm aiming for 8-12.
That was one hell of a surprise, Akiba didn't think the ghosts could fly. One of these days they were going to run into a Kaiju that couldn't fly or shoot anything, and then Akiba would finally have the upper hand. One of the ghosts hit Akiba in the side, flying up when he didn't expect them to. Akiba spun through the air as he was knocked towards Pac-Man's suction, but activated his jets anyway, as he was only rolling horizontally and blasting forwards would still send him away from certain death.

Flying close to Pac-Man as he only narrowly saved himself from being swallowed, he could hear Pac-Man devouring some of the ground troops. 'This is no time for these distractions!' Akiba thought as he was still trying to outmaneuver the ghosts. Assuming they would chase behind him, Akiba tried to circle around to get more shots at Pac-Man while the ghosts trailed behind him. Over the comm, Akiba announced, "I think this is the time where we should be coming up with a strategy to beat this monster!"
Akiba heard Akane's instructions loud and clear, having taken a moment to retreat to a safe distance from the ghosts surrounding the kaiju. He could see the Kiryu suit flying nearby, though not exactly near enough that he could give Akane a hand-wave. "Glad to see Kiryu isn't getting rusty," Akiba said, confident enough in his comments that he left his comm on.

'Well, if shooting the ghosts doesn't matter, I need to change my tactics,' Akiab thought as he flew higher into the air. As always, the fact that the maser cannon was on his back provided a limitation combat, and once again Akiba was about to make an assumption about this kaiju's movement ability. So far it seemed rather... two-dimensional. So Akiba's current strategy, now that he had reached an acceptable height, was to dive straight down towards Pac-Man's head and fire, and pull up at the last moment.
