Rather than screaming passed its target the fireball stopped all at once. Standing absolutely still for only an instant; showcasing the beauty of its compact blue core and the sphere of super heated air which surrounded it.
With a deafened thud the fireball suddenly collapsed upon itself, sucking in a mass amount of oxygen and stone around it. Shortly after a thunderous explosion would shatter the airways and quake the earth, sending out a massive ring of fire and burning stone.
While upon the mans body the light show began once again, emanating from a strange light source in his chest. It supplied tendrils of energy to the mans left hand again as he stood waiting.
For a moment the man stood eerily still as he watched the woman. Upon the surface of the skin it would appear as though something were crawling within him. Slithering in dozens of bright red tendrils towards his left hand. The mans face seemed to twist into a grimace as the energy collected in his palm, causing it to glow a bright red.
With a quick movement the man thrust his left hand towards the woman's with his palm facing her. Out of thin air a streak of blue light suddenly tears through the area; leaving a gouge of bright yellow, melting stone in its wake. In no more than a second the woman would be face to face with the ridiculously hot fireball. It was merely a means of testing the water, so to speak.
(Rolls are based on a 20/100 system. Any additional roll changes will be made known.)
20/100 +20 For Armor noise. Roll = 84 Total
This roll is 1/20 with no bonus. It will decide how many extra deaths happened due to the time your character lost. Roll = 3. So three additional deaths.
There was a largely unseen beauty hidden behind the pained screams that tore through the air waves. A beauty which Xavier currently reveled and experienced an electric shiver dance along his spine; adding a visibly giddy skip to his step. Now even though he was enjoying himself, it was not enough to stop him from picking up on the rough metallic sounds of armor once again. As his left foot met the hard dirt Xavier allowed his momentum to decrease as his head turned to the right. Allowing him to gaze over his shoulder just in time to see the woman throw herself into the air. It was becoming clear that she was not going to be as easy to frighten off as the others.
Such a realization was not a terrible one though, Xavier had felt her power levels and there was barely anything to cause him concern. It simply meant they would have to fight for the moment.
As the woman began to land and Xaviers right foot began to move forward Xavier called upon a buildup of energy within his chest. It was the collective chaos in the town fueling his powers and allowing him to call upon more of it. The problem was that the energy would be able to choose itโs own shape, meaning it could either come out as Dreadful Flames or Dreadful Lightning. It was time to find out.
Base Power Roll = 56 โ This number will be take into account along side of his general power level. So itโs not a 50% of total power. But 50% of total CURRENT power. Power Appearance Roll โ This will be a 1/3 roll. A 1 will be Dreadful Lightning. A 2 will be Dreadful Flames and a 3 will be straight Dread Energy. The roll is a 3.
Now the two would face one another as the woman touched the ground and Xaviers right foot did as well. It could be seen now that Xaviers face was covered in considerably fewer scar tissue and his ashen grey skin was beginning to regain color. Then there were his eyes. A dark glowing red which seeped into the veins surrounding his eyes and lit them up. It was the only indication that could be found of what happened next as Xaviers lips parted.
Around the two of them the surrounding light seemed to dim away as a dark red energy spilled forth from Xaviers throat. It held a physical form comparable to a thick smoke cloud and upon the rolling red surface danced several small red bolts. It shot towards the woman as she would have began to speak, intending to catch her as off guard as possible with the tactic.
The cloud moved forward as quick as a whip but would hit with considerably less force or damage than the other two forms. What it lacked in striking power it made up for in tactical power. It was designed to attack a fighter at a mental level, as prolonged direct contact with the smokey substance was known to cause hallucinations. In massive amounts; even death.
Xavier would hope that the tactic would be enough to create a sliver of an opening, in which he would attempt to act again.
20/100 Roll =84
The air surrounding Xaviers hands and feet gave a high pitched whistle as they suddenly began to rotate. With a quick flex and a couple muscular twitches Xavier would find himself lifted into the air and placed upon the roof of a single story house to his right. This time he would choose not to run away completely, but hoped he would gain a couple of advantages here.
(Basically my rolls kind of screwed me lol I would say IF you get hit by the energy than you can use your own judgement on what happens.)
HOUNDS
Roll=69
The screams that had once filled the perimeter of the town now began to fan inwards. Not only because the hounds had killed a good portion of the people. But also because those who did remain were currently fleeing towards the center of the city. At this rate it would be not much longer before the hounds found their master.
From an unknown position in the village comes an ear splitting, blood curdling howl. Itโs vibrations were hear for a full 5 seconds before it ended abruptly. It was followed by a mixture of whoops and hollers from the guards; it would seem they had managed to kill one of the monsters. Their cries of victory were short lived and soon the air was filled once again with pained screams.
@ImportantNobody I'll give him until tomorrow and then I will make another post. I have had a lot of stuff coming up with work anyway so it's worked out.
@Blueflame no problem! When you're ready just make sure you read any new posts before you post yours! So everything flows good!
In the palms of both his hands appeared a small flame which would dance and grow to cover his skin from wrist to finger tip. Bringing both his hands up infront of his chest the man would press his palms gently together. When the flames of each hand met they merged and erupted with a massive heat wave. Shifting in an instant from dancing yellow waves to a small jetting plume of thick red flame.
Left hand went up and right hand went down, creating a small blade between them. The blade was made of a condensed flame, evident by the shifting colors of orange and red on its surface. It was only the size of a short sword, but it would do. When it was created the flames on the mans left hand disappeared as it moved away from the blade. Allowing his right hand to burn red as it gripped the bladesame hilt. (I can't just write a little x.x)
The air filled with the sound of a man's deep bellowing. From the shadows leapt a man who wore nothing aside from a pair of torn denim jeans. His body was thick, muscular and practically coated in dirt. All this combined with his long and matted black hair showed the man was wild in nature. From the black curtain of his hair peered a pair of orange eyes which held a glow similar to a flame.
