Well Shinrei sees both Andre and Ben as clowns. People who brag and want to prove themselves to be try-hards that go by the motto holier than thou do not usually catch his attention though he cannot help but recognize how naive they really are and that have a lot to learn when it comes to real dueling. He is not even impressed with the duels since he finds them nothing more than a circus act. Really hard to impress that guy, heh.

At least his sister is not a capital "A" asshole like he is LOL.

Just a question about Haas, Ammokkx. Does he get uncomfortable when he is around girls he doesn't know?

Shinrei would think in his mind without saying it: Titles are for the weak-minded who try to prove themselves. Who needs to prove themselves when they already know where they stand? I don't know why fools get so indulged in their self-proclaimed titles anyway. Not like it makes any difference. Doesn't make them any better and certainly doesn't change the impression people have on them.

Unlike them, I do not need titles. Another form of dependency that I do not need posing a hindrance toward my cause. Dueling is all about showing no sign of weakness. There is no place for such trivialities in a duel.

More that she'll take a liking to certain people, and would prefer to be stuck with them if at all possible. Whether or not she likes you msotly comes down to your attitude when dealing with her. If you act like a smug bastard and constantly point out Ethel's mistakes she's going to be screaming at you to just get offed already(LOOKIN' AT YOU VINCENT), while if you're respectful or kind she's going to be a lot nicer to you than others. Basically, how much she likes a certain person affects how she's going to be when talking to them.

Well I'll be sure not to give Shinrei cards that could hurt someone else, then. Andre's still a wildcard tho.

Also, while I like discussing my characters, I feel like we're hogging the thread a little =P.

You do have a point. Why he is like will be revealed in time. His character will slowly develop as that is how most of the ice cold characters work.

Well, Shinrei will not like Andre to be around his sister. He would find him more of a hindrance and a bad influence. Especially the fact he lets mule's bray and fool's talk bother him to the point of growing a grudge against someone. That's very unfitting of a strategist though I doubt he would find him one.

Mmm. Not as much, but similar enough. Ethel's a silent person who just keeps to herself since she's very objective-focused, and does NOT take well to humiliation. If you go back to my previous posts as her, you can see she got increasingly annoyed by people trying to bug her while she wasn't really in a talking mood, yet seemed to like Venwyn just fine since he got to the point during their duel. Being nice to her also helps, as she doesn't really expect that in return with her hostility.

So while she's not sociable, she isn't completely averse to people as long as they don't needlessly cling to her.

So unlike Shinrei, she isn't completely opposed to dependency?

Shinrei used to be a lot worse than he is now when he dueled on the World Circuit. He used to be very cruel, straight to the point and destroyed his opposition by any means necessary no matter how much harm he inflicted on them. That is a very dangerous side of him that still lurks within his body. He never showed mercy and never relied on dependency. He also never complimented anyone after the duel just saying it was over and that he was taking his leave. Tsukiko knows about that dangerous side of him making sure she's around so he never goes back to that way.

Technically the Divine Dorm is the highest, but that isn't open to a first year. Only to a second year and higher. Dorms are based off of the attributes, in case you might not have noticed. Water and Fire are the respective mid and high tier second/third year dorms. Light is the highest possible first year dorm, and students in said dorm are pushed the most to do their best.

EDIT: As for Ethel knowing, considering her history I'd say yes. Haas not so much as he's just a poor boy. Ethel wouldn't care too much though, everyone is just in her way unless she takes a liking to them.

Well Shinrei and her share not caring about something which is a trait they have in common. Shinrei wouldn't mind her since he knows she won't try to stand in his way or try harass him when he hates having friends, because he is very anti-social and does not like dependency as he finds it is a weakness. Does she think the same way as he does?

Ah I see, well if she is in the Light Dorm she will probably come across Shinrei sooner or later. Does she know anything particularly about him at this point? I'm guessing she might not even know he is attending or anyone from the Ikushirou family though that is just based off of hypothetical assumption. Is Light the highest?

EX.: Haas blew his defensive cards too early (Key, Negate attack), and didn't save his Wind-Up Kittens for bigger threats and instead tried to push more damage in which left him without anything else. So, Earth.

There, yeah I noticed Haas was possessive pronoun for group. I added that to it.
