Ouch, good move but...damn that was a good counter. Veronica didn't have enough time to try and cushion the fall, so she instead used the momentum to roll back and use both legs to kick Jen off and over her. Their faces got close to touching, but Veronica was able to kick her away before they could.

Perfect opening. Veronica followed up by charging, using her covered arms to keep Jen's out of the way, and driving her knee up into her gut. Veronica was now running on adrenaline, imagining she was still protecting her friends on the streets was giving extra drive.

Nice try. Veronica used her power and caused several bright flashes directly in front of Jen's eyes. Then used the shoulder she was blocking with to send a fist into her opponent's head.

Pretty solid attacks, good form. She is a decent fighter, but you don't survive on the streets with decent. Veronica blocked the the attacks well, barely keeping away from the skin. She then spun, twisting her shoulder up to protect from the attacks while sending a powerful kick into her opponents side.

That level of dexterity was impressive. Veronica shifted her hands into her sleeves and crouched so that only her face remained open. Her arms were up in a defensive position to protect her head and braced for Jen as she continued her charge.

seeing Jen charge, she instantly knew her strategy. The only way Jen would win was if skin touched, that was the fail state. Veronica hopped back from the rush, ensuring the charge was still happening. She waited until Jen was close to spring the trap. Veronica lowered her body slightly and did a sweeping kick, then pushed back off of her stable leg to get distance between them.

Veronica pulled out a rag and wrapped it around her mouth, a commonly done technique while scavenging. "Ready as I will ever be."

I imagine that this will seem relatively tame compared to the last battle. Anything is more tame than a bloodthirsty Kiiros.

Veronica hovered down to the arena. She rolled her sleeves down, covering her arms, and pulled her pants legs down. The only exposed parts left where: her head, her fingers (wearing finger less leather gloves), and the leg just above her ankle. She got into a fighting stance and went back on the ground.
