I posted... something.

I'll leave it up to Sword to decided whether Aiko loses Toma or not.
Toma Tanaka - Warakuma Highschool Hallways

Upon hearing that it was Aiko's younger brother who was missing, Toma's brow furrowed with concern.

Aiko continued mumbling to himself, falling into his own thoughts. Toma's frown deepened as it seemed that Aiko was more concerned for himself than his brother. The taller boy opened his mouth to say something, but was cut off by Aiko, who appeared to have figured out where his brother might be. The boy took off at a dead sprint, leaving Toma and the girl behind. Toma clicked his tongue as his eyes followed the other boy's receding figure.

An unfamiliar voice spoke, commenting on Aiko's backwards priorities. Toma turned to face the new boy as he continued, suggesting that there may be more to the disappearance.

To this, Toma's frown morphed into a scowl. He was confused, and that angered him. Obviously, considering how panicked Aiko seemed, his brother's disappearance wasn't normal -- there was a real chance that something was wrong. That couldn't be dismissed.

Add onto that the fact that Aiko seemed to only want to find his brother so that he himself wouldn't get into trouble. Toma had to make a conscious effort to beat back the flare of anger that cropped up inside him.

It wasn't a certainty -- maybe Aiko had just poorly chosen his words in his panic. Maybe he was just one of those types that didn't like to make his affection for his siblings obvious, more like a tough-love kind of person.

Toma wanted answers. He wanted to understand the situation. And that wouldn't happen if he continued to stand around analyzing the little information he had.

Running a hand through his hair, he softened his expression. He looked from the boy, who had introduced himself as Kami, to the younger girl.

"I'm Tanaka Toma," he said quickly and with a slight bow. "I'm sorry we had to meet like this, but I promise I'll make it up. To both of you." He finished with a small smile and wave, before turning on his heels and bolting after Aiko.

It took several seconds and a couple blind turns, but Toma was soon able to spot Aiko for a quick moment. It also helped that most lingering students stared in the boy's direction for a few seconds after he had passed through. He couldn't help but apologize to anyone who seemed to have been disturbed by either him or Aiko as he ran by.
This looks like it'll be great, so I'm very interested.

Wait, wait, wait, you mean Chair will have to step up his game?

He'll have to become a table if he hopes to stand a chance.

Toma Tanaka - Tanaka Residence | After School

Toma stepped into his house, and slid the door shut behind him, happy to be out of the chilly air. He kicked off his shoes, and took a deep breath, giving an "I'm home!" that was far happier and more energetic than he felt. He stared discontentedly at the shoes for a moment, before bending over to place them together neatly. As he looked back up, he saw his mother's face peering at him from around a corner. She smiled softly at him. "Welcome back, Toma," she said with a quiet cheerfulness, not unlike her son's.

He returned her smile, doing his best to appear bright and happy. "I got what you asked for," he said, holding up the bag he held. He stared at her for a moment, and forced back a frown. As was usual, she looked... depressed. Her shoulders sagged and she stooped forward ever so slightly. Her face was etched with wrinkles and she kept herself compact, almost making it seem like she was perpetually cowering.

"Sorry for being a little late," he said. "I'll make supper."

Disapproval flashed across her face as she stepped fully into the hallway. "No no, I want to do it. You and your father are always working hard everyday, keeping you two fed is my job."

Toma's eyes widened in surprised at how strongly she spoke those words. "Oh, uh, sure. If you need any help, just ask, okay?" He handed her the bag, earning him a satisfied smile.

The two went into the dining room, Toma plopping down into a chair at the table and his mother continuing into the kitchen. The boy laid out his homework, and started on it, though he paid more attention to his mother cooking away, her back turned to him.

At the moment, she seemed... not necessarily 'happy,' but content, at the very least. Toma had a hunch that she was like him, in many ways. She was happier when she was doing something. The issue now was that she stayed home everyday, saying that she "wasn't fit for work" anymore.

Though judging from the way she looked most of the time, it wasn't difficult to believe that that was the truth.

The boy turned back to his work.
Tanaka Residence | Late Night

As per usual, Toma sat at his desk as the day changed. He sipped at the tea he had made using the leaves Hamada had given him. While it did taste good, he was skeptical that it'd do anything for his sleeping habits. He didn't not sleep because he couldn't, but more because he didn't want to. Or something. He wasn't sure himself.

Perhaps the tea was having some sort of effect though. He seemed to feel drowsier than normal. Maybe it was all in his head.

Tanaka Residence | Morning

Toma's eyes blinked open, and to his surprise, he found himself not at his desk, but lying on his back on his mattress. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, vaguely remembering turning off his computer and crawling into his bed.

Not something that happened often. He checked his clock -- and by his best guess, he had gotten a solid 5 hours of sleep. A lot more than usual.

He felt... good. It was a strangely uncomfortable feeling, one that he wasn't accustomed to. Sleeping hunched over his computer always left him sore, but today there was no pain.

Unsure whether he was happy about the good sleep he had gotten or not, he got up and ready for the day. After shower he paused, looking at his messy hair in the mirror. Remembering the interaction with Hamada the night before, he frowned. Spotting a comb on the counter, he picked it up and ran it through his hair, straightening it out and pushing his bangs away from his forehead.

He stared at himself for a moment. He looked so... so professional. Clicking his tongue in disapproval, he brought his hands up to his hair and ruffled it back up. To his annoyance, however, he couldn't quite get it back to how it looked when it was freshly towel-dried.

With a defeated sigh, he decided to go drink his coffee and stop caring about his mop of a head.
Warakuma High School, Class 3 - 1 | After School

As Toma packed his things into his bag, he took the time to remind himself how much he disliked Saturday evenings. Not only did he have to find things to do tonight, but he'd have a full day to fill tomorrow. It more often than not became a chore to keep himself moving.

He turned to face Aiko's desk, but saw the boy already leaving the class. Toma frowned as he got up and slung his bag over his shoulder. Aiko had seemed to be bothered by something during the day, so Toma decided to follow after him, to find out what was wrong.

A minute later, he caught up to Aiko, who was questioning an unfamiliar girl. Toma caught Aiko's last few words, and he frowned in concern.

"Hey Aiko, you're looking for someone?" he said as he walked up to the two, turning the statement into a question as he wasn't entirely sure he was correct.

I shall go down with KoToma. But that conflicts with AikOma. So much confliction. Someone help.

There is no dilemma here. After all, Toma's used to working overtime.
I'm still interested in this RP, though I can't guarantee many posts over the next couple weeks. Once my semester's over, I'll be more active. Until then, I'll try to keep up.

Going with the same two characters, mainly because I'm lazy and not very creative.

I'm still here, just been busy as I'm in the final weeks of my semester. I'll do my best to post as much as I can, but that's the reason for my lack of activity.
Toma Tanaka - Warakuma Streets

Toma couldn't help but give a small laugh at Hamada's offended little huff after she spoke about all the attention the strange teens were getting. He looked over at her out of the corner of his eye, pausing long enough to note that she looked pretty cute when she was annoyed -- at least, when her annoyance wasn't directed at him. "Probably because there isn't much else to report on," he said, mainly to keep the conversation going.

The girl then looked over at him, prompting his eyes to quickly dart away, focusing back on the street ahead.

"You don't sleep well at all, do you?" she asked, causing Toma's brows to move up in surprise. "Tch. No wonder you look so awful." He gave an embarrassed smile at this, not entirely certain of what to say. She turned to look through her bag, pulling out something and moving her hand towards him. He simply stared dumbly at her hand as she did so, unsure about what she was doing or what she held. Before he could identify the object, she stuffed it into his open jacket pocket, taking him by surprise again.

Toma looked up at her with an innocent, questioning look. She quickly answered, explaining that it was a kind of tea that helped her when she was having trouble sleeping.

"Think of it as your...reward," she said.

A small, but bright, smile spread across his lips. "Thanks. I'll give it a try tonight."

Hamada then stopped suddenly, and in his state, Toma didn't even notice until she spoke.

"We can part ways here. I'd prefer that my parents didn't see me walk home with someone like you, or things will become quite uncomfortable."

'Someone like you.' Ouch. While Toma had already accepted that she probably didn't mean any harm, and despite the fact that he kind of agreed with her, her comments still stung a bit. Though he could appreciate her blunt honesty. There weren't many people like that. Probably for good reason. But it made her interesting and fun to talk to.

"Oh, um, yeah, sure," he said, his smile wavering for only an instant. He stepped up towards her and carefully handed her back her bags. "I guess your place isn't much farther, but take care the rest of the way, mm?" He gave her a lazy salute as he turned away. "I'll see you around."

He shoved his hands into his pockets, to get them out of the cool air, as he inspected his surroundings and backtracked. His right hand fingered the tea packet.

Toma thought about the interaction, and realized something strange. She had so nonchalantly given the tea packet to him, like it hadn't meant anything, but she had noticed his lack of sleep. And she had correctly assumed that it wasn't a one time thing. That it was a perpetual, daily issue of his.

And it had apparently concerned her enough to motivate her to offer him some help. Despite the fact that they had only just met and had had a rocky start.

Slightly dumbfounded, he looked over his shoulder, though Hamada was of course out of sight by now. A second passed, and the boy continued on his way.

She definitely wasn't as bad as what he had been told.
