Too long has ye slumbered,

Thy sin be sloth

Hence the heavens they rumbled

To free us from rot

Now rise from the ashes

And claim what was lost

Joining a well established RP has its perk.

For one you know it has a solid place, by that I mean it is not in danger of evaporating.

Next it will also have more substance. An evolving lore, depth of story and perspective.

But there are also flaws.

It may have become monotonous. The mechanics may appear overly complicated. The learning curve maybe steep.

Over all the latter is the problem which most tend to fear, the dread of a steep learning curve may act as a strong deterrence.

I suppose best solution is to see how engaging the community is. If they are willing to explain said game mechanics, help ease the transition etc. Utilizing these simple factors you can quite easily get a strong footing in what ever RP you are placed in.

I never said amro takes all the alchemists. That is impossible and not neccessary. A.M.R.O only takes the talented, it just needs an army to maintain order.

Alchemy management and Restraint organization.

It means they maintain order in the world of alchemy, that means they oversee alchemy as well as the rogues.

To put it simply you can use alchemy and not be in A.M.R.O, however you have to live under the constant scrutiny of A.M.R.O. If you don't break the rules, you will be okay. If you do A.M.R.O will come.

There are certain exceptions.

Now when A.M.R.O was still in its infancy merely a century old or so, it knew it would be very tough to bring order and control over the world of alchemy. Hence it took assistance from certain families. These families served to maintain order in those areas where A.M.R.O couldn't, however they too were under the scrutiny of A.M.R.O. It was a give and take relationship.

The families would be able to get more freedom and A.M.R.O would get more intel from them and create more order.

As time passed, over the centuries prominent bloodlines were formed, they are known as the 'newbloods'. Basically families that have been practicing alchemy for over 400 years.

These newbloods maintain order at a lower level. Such making sure rogues in their areas are behaving, no one is being reckless etc. For this A.M.R.O tends to turn a blind eye to some of their illegal activities.

However there is also a darker past as to the creation of the relationship between the newbloods and A.M.R.O.

Well I was talking from the point of view of the patriarch :p while our characters will serve as mediators and body guards the patriarchs will be the ones either solving or creating the mess our guys will have to clean xD

And yea.... <.< >.>... Maeve.... she will definetly need to be locked in a cellar, possibly in tartrus.

Also, just to give some of you a heads up. The next chapter (after the time skip) will be a little different.

It will focus on bloodlines and show the side of alchemy outside of amro perspective.

Now there are various bloodlines that operate around the world. These are families who have practiced alchemy through several generations. These families are also responsible for keeping the rogues in line, which is why amro let's them live.

Now our characters are sent to act as mediators as a feud has begun among the bloodlines and it is impertive that a bloodline war be avoided at all costs. So our characters will be sent to the annual summit where all the patriarchs of the bloodlines meet. We have to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Now each member can create a bloodline of their own, as there are several bloodlines. In doing so each member can approach the feud in their own way and direct the plot towards compliance or war.

I will explain more as we go ahead.

The next chapter should be very interesting in my opinion. It's not so much focused on fighting as it is on tact and guile. Also it will be the first chapter where the end result will be entirely determined by what actions you make your patriarch and the bloodline takes.
