DC UNIVERSE: CALL FOR THE UNDERDOGS
Today was just your average day in Gotham City and in Metropolis, crime crawling the streets and alleys of New York and constant restless nights keeping Arkham Asylum's inmates contained and at bay. The Justice League had been busy trying to track the source of the new found multiverse rifts being opened, clues point towards the duo of Brainiac and Lex Luthor, but that was the least of their problems, some new time rifts had been opened by the work of Doctor Fate whom has brought back familiar faces that had been deceased for quite some time. Now aided by Doctor Polaris, Mongul, Prometheus, Psimon, Bizarro, Clayface, Doomsday, and Libra, the Legion of Doom wages an all out war with the Justice league.
As time passes, matters only become worse. Superman, Batman, Aquaman, and Green Arrow had been captured and held captive aboard Brainiac's ship, forced to breathe an unstable mixture of Scarecrow's Fear Toxin, Joker's laughing gas, and Kryptonite. Sample's of their DNA were taken to clone the captive heroes with further intention to hype them up on Bane Venom. All the while, the masterminds behind this "Doomsday Project" had been using the time and multiverse rifts to hide and/or capture more subjects for their experiments to build an unstoppable army, leaving the lesser villains behind to either fail or make a name for themselves, consequently with the remaining Justice league fighting non stop to either make a difference or avoid capture, the lesser heroes are left to make a stand or falter.
Some of the cities citizens have even taken part in this "Doomsday Crisis" most of them out of work due to the massively increased rate of common crime in the streets, others being ex heroes or villains. These individuals had resorted to doing mercenary work taking on jobs dished out by the Legion or By the Justice League. Current League operations are ran by Oracle and the Flash while The legion work is left by Lex Luthor, Harvey Dent (Two Face), and Brainiac.
Will Gotham and Metropolis fall to the Legion in their attempt to take over with intentions to dominate earth or will the heart of the cities overcome the villainy and put the Legion in their place? Its up to the underdogs, will you be known as one of the heros that saves the world or will be among the most feared villains??
- Any hero, villain, or neutral (mercenary) would have had training by a mentor being a famous hero or infamous villian.
- There will be two organizations ran by a GM or any CO-GM's as each organization would have a mission representative whom is in contact with the necessary proprietors of the missions ( Accepting Inquiries for CO GM positions!!!)
- The concept here is that it is up to those up and coming heroes and villains to decide the fate of our cities
- Freedom of Character is a thing, for example if you as a villain at some point decide you want to turn over a new leaf, you might have to struggle through story consequences but it can be done, same goes for a hero turning coat and becoming a villain
- Planning to have a plot that evolves overtime, maybe even more so into the multiverse and event time travel
- As for the Multiverse, its only DC Multiverse, nothing outside of that. Essentially this RP will be loosely hand in hand with The DC Universe Online
- Always open to plot ideas, will even have a discord all goes well.
- Roles are broken down into a few classes: Medic, Attack, Tank, and Intelligence. Attack and Medic should be self explanatory, tank would be a beefy defense player and intelligence would be your tech/gadget user
- Ranks can be earned by completing task with or without a squad given out by the Justice League and Legion of Doom representatives, Gm and the CO-GMs will be the ones handling rank changes.
Rules:
- No killing other players or capturing players without consent and GM Approval
- All turncoat plays must be approved
- This is 18+, that being said I don't want sailor mouths, I don't want graphic gore, or too sexual themes. Keep things moderate but get creative.
- Romance is encouraged, nothing beats a power couple, and don't be afraid to "tread in the waters" and bring a hero and a villain together, might have an interesting outcome yeah?
- No popular names will be played as of right now, maybe in the future we can bring in some DC favorites but for now its all OC
- All characters will start at C rank or lower, the ranks follow as lowest to highest: E, D, C, B, A, S
(S being a rank like that of superman or lex luthor)
