@sassy1085well, it's fine being a nurse, but you need to get involved in the plot tho :) if you can do that: welcome!

Cinnabar Island

Kjolmar looked at the vulcano and nodded. "This has to be the right island, Zubat. Let's find Looker." The two of them walked towards the vulcano and entered what looked like an inactive gym. There didn't appear to be anyone inside until suddenly a Magmar appeared. Not exactly who they had been looking for.
"Hi" Kjolmar tried carefully. "Is your trainer here?" The Magmar nodded and motioned for them to follow it. Sweating from the heath, Kjolmar and Zubat followed Magmar deeper into the vulcano until they reached an old man.

"I.D.?" the old man asked.
Kjolmar hesitated. "Excuse me?"
The old man looked grumpy. "You know what I'm talking about, kid." Kjolmar pinched his eyes. How dare that old man call him a kid? A little annoyed, he showed his KSF badge. The old man smiled. "Alright, Kjolmar. I just had to make sure. Old Blaine can't be too careful, can he? Anyway, Looker isn't here. He went to the Mansion to meet with your partner. It's the building where they revive fossils, a little further down the island."
Kjolmar frowned. "Partner? Zubat is my partner. Looker didn't tell me anyone else would be joining."
Blaine laughed and coughed a little. "You are about to confronte Team Rocket, you need to go as a team. Trust me." While Zubat was flying circles around Magmar, Kjolmar tried to progress the news. "Very well, we'll head to the Mansion. Thank you for your time."

On their way out, Blaine shouted at them "Oh, and make sure to find some sea transport, Looker will send you to Fuchsia City first." Kjolmar wasn't sure on how to get there, as he came here by boat from Pallet Town but it only went there and back.
Great. Throw in your CS if you want
What you know:
You and your starter pokemon are recruited into the Kanto Special Forces, an organisation of the most promising trainers that is created to assist the police in defeating criminals. You've been assigned to investigate Team Rocket's hideout in Celadon City.

What you don't know yet:
After you've done this, you will have to deal with them even more as they will be active in Lavender Town (the Marowak episode), Saffron City (the masterball plans), and even the Viridian Gym. Afterwards, you will have to go to Johto as Team Rocket continues their activity at the Lake of Rage and the Goldenrod Radio Tower. When they are defeated once and for all (?), the threat of Team Magma and Team Aqua will rise in Hoenn..

Rules:
* You can use Pokemon of any generation, but it would make the most sense to use those of that particular generation we are located in. So if you really want to use a Yungoos, justify it by saying you moved from Alola to Kanto, but it would be even better to just use a Psyduck so to speak.
* You start with only 1 Pokemon. During the storyline you can catch more.
* Your starter can not be an evolved Pokemon, nor can he be a legendary/mythic.

If at least 1 person is interested, I'll start working on the story :)

Trivia:

roleplayerguild.com/topics/175449-kan…
Name: Calvin Mistdale
Age: 29
Birthday: August 4th

Occupation: used to be a Probation Officer
Residence: used to live in a rather modern but modest flat in Australia before leaving

Appearance: A first glance at Calvin would give you some surfer vibes as he has semi-long, sandy-blond, curly hair and bright blue eyes and has that typical Australian tan. He appears to be what they call thin-muscled, enough to show off but nothing extreme. His right arm is completely covered in tattoos. His facial expression is more serious than you would expect.

History: Being a Probation Officer, Calvin spend a lot of time among people who required a lot of patience of him. Time after time, he had to keep faith in people who made it hard to be understood. Because of his dedication to his job, Calvin's personal life kept decreasing until his own social network had shrunk to a minimum. At first he was clueless about what was happening to him and he enjoyed his job so much that he even started to work on cases in his free time, but soon there was no time left for friends, family or dating. At some point he felt indredibly lonely when he wasn't at work and it made him realize there was something missing in his life. He felt the need to change something, eventhough he wasn't exactly sure what he wanted to change. There was just this feeling of.. emptiness.. He searched on the internet which plane tickets were affordable and kept browsing for them without ever actually buying anything. Sometimes he even selected 'one way' flights and wondered if he had the guts to just leave everything behind. But where would he go? What would he do? Would he find a job as satisfying as he had now? Then one day, a pokémon showed up at his doorstep and it changed everything. (You can read more about the two of them meeting in the prologue)

Personality: independent, ambitious, patient, forgiving, lonely

Pokemon Owned:

Pokemon:
Absol

Gender:
M

Ability:
Pressure

Personality:
Calm and passive in general but passionate in battles if required

Friendship & Affection:
Calvin and Absol are attached to each other and have a mutual understanding of their bond without either side requiring to show this to much. They are both individualists and on their own and respect that about each other but when it comes down to it, they will do anything it takes for the other. At times, they can easily get upset at the other, but it always ends quickly.
History: The amount of silence and the short-lived conflicts between them has somehow made their bond stronger, as their mutual respect for each other keeps growing every time. They have learned how to read the other's body language and a simple look in the eyes can send a powerful message. As much as they seem to prefer being on their own, it's obvious they have grown very attached to each other's company.

Moves Used:
Quick Attack, Bite, Future Sight, Perish Song

Trivia: Calvin has a few addictions he never speaks of.

Prologue: When Absol showed up, everything changed for Calvin. It was almost as if Absol had chosen him specifically for a greater purpose but what could it be? Surely it was no coincidence that around the same time there were rumors of a Pokemon Underground Network in Seattle. The odd meeting with Absol was the last push Calvin needed to go through with his decision to quit his job and leave Australia. When he asked Absol if they should go to Seattle to find this Underground Network, it was very clear that Absol fully agreed to that decision. Had they send Absol here to make sure Calvin would be convinced? Had Absol acted on his own? Time would tell but for now a great adventure was about to start.

Once they got there, Calvin hadn't got the slightest clue on where to start. He and Absol walked through the back alleys of Seattle while trying to come up with a plan on how to find this, probably very well hidden, organisation. They both also realized that they didn't have any place to stay yet so they would have to get their priorities straight before sunset if they didn't want to sleep outside that night.
I'll go for the dark type :)
"Khelfin Lodge! I can't believe you haven't decided on a Familiar yet, one night before your dark baptism! If your mother would still be alive, she wouldn't have this patience with you. I'm giving you until morning to come up with a decision or I will make it for you, understood?"

Mr Lodge seemed to be incredibly annoyed at this issue and stared into his son's eyes with a certain threat. Khelfin didn't seem afraid but realized he had to obey his father if he didn't want to deal with the consequences. Choosing a Familiar was something he had to himself. Khelfin nodded firmly. "Yes father. May I go to my room to ponder on this matter?"

The father seemed to relax slightly. "You may."

After closing his bedroom door behind him, Khelfin looked at his window. Would he dare to sneak out without permission?
Plot: Similar to the first season of the tv series but from your character's perspective
