Order 66 - Chapter 1

Under the loud noise of the fierce Storm Trooper march against the Jedi rebellion -as they called it-, Master Kjolmar Delacroix attempted to apply stealth to his risky escape. It had all happened so fast. One minute he had been gathering some information files for his fellow Jedi, the next minute he found them being brutally slaughtered by the Storm Troopers under the command of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. "Execute Order 66." The same ruthless words kept haunting Kjolmar's mind while he tried to stay hidden from the patrolling troopers. Coruscant was no longer a safe place for any Jedi and Kjolmar knew he had to leave as far as possible, to the Outer Rim even.

But he couldn't leave without his assigned Padawan, Finn, who was still at the Jedi Temple. Upon arrival, he was approached by the Protocol Droid, C3PO. "Oh, Master Delacroix! You must leave right this instant or they'll kill you too! Master Skywalker has turned to the dark side and he killed all the younglings in the temple!" Kjolmar's brief hope upon seeing the droid vanished into thin air upon hearing the news. "No... Anakin..." His hand turned into a fist. "Threepio... Even Finn?" The droid made a beeping sound before answering. "I am sorry, Master Delacroix." Kjolmar frowned in both anger and grief. "What about the others?" C3PO seemed to sigh, a bit odd for a droid. Then again, Protocol Droids were designed to have a humanoid aspect. "Master Yoda is on Kashyyyk with the Wookies and Master Kenobi still hasn't returned from Utapau since his battle with Grievous. And Master Windu... Once again I must bring you terrible news, sir. Master Windu has been slain by the Chancellor."

Kjolmar felt frozen on the spot. Not only had his Padawan been slaughtered, his former Master as well. "You must go now, sir!", C3PO said, "JarJar and I will take care of Senator Amidala. She is not considered a threat to the Republic." While Kjolmar seemed to be in doubt, he forced himself to make a quick decision. "Tell Padmé to keep a low profile for now." With those words, Kjolmar started running off. As he made his way to a spaceship, he blamed himself for not expressing his distrust in Anakin more clearly. Kjolmar entered the coordinates for Naboo as a destination setting, at this point still unaware that he would crash on the nearby Tattooine instead. All of a sudden he got the feeling that someone was approaching him. He quickly drew his blue lightsaber and prepared for battle if needed. "Who's there? Show yourself!"

Exploring Kalos

"Wow, that really does look a lot like Mewtwo." Kjolmar gasped and rubbed his eyes, he almost couldn't believe it.

When Olli handed Kjolmar the letter, he looked surprised. It looked like Bianca's handwriting. Quickly he opened the letter and read it out loud so Olli could hear.

Dear Kjolmar,
Take this painting to Korrina, the gym leader of Shalour city. She'll definitely have some answers about it but she won't give them up easily. I am guessing a gym battle could prove you worthy. The only problem is that she requires you to have at least two other gym badges in order to battle her. As you already have the Bug badge, you should aim for the Cliff badge next. It's the reward for defeating Grant of Cyllage city. I might as well give you the heads up: Grant uses the rock-type, so you'd be best of with a fight-, ground- or steel-type. But it's up to you really. Whatever you do, using a flying-type is pointless. Good luck!

Kjolmar looked at his belt with pokeballs and then to Olli. "Neither of us has a fight-, ground- or steel-type with us. I suppose that tactic is out of the picture. If only Charlotte would still be here, her Riolu could've made a difference. Then again, perhaps it was too inexperienced to battle in the first place." If only he knew...

"I'm rather limited with my options, considering Emolga and Aerodactyl are both flying types." He thought hard and seemed to get an idea.

Kjolmar took out his map of the Kalos region. "Alright, this way to Cyllage city! We'll think of something."

While the duo made their way, everything seemed quiet and calm for once. But what they didn't notice was that a pokemon was chasing them and it ran rather fast. As it came closer, you could hear it getting more and more exited. Despite it remaining rather silent, it had somehow drawn Kjolmar's attention. "Turn around." Kjolmar heard in his head, as if someone was speaking to him through psychic powers. Kjolmar wasn't sure why exactly, but he had the sudden urge to turn around. And just as he did, the chaser Jumped straight in to his arms. Kjolmar's facial expression revealed that he knew this pokemon, a Squirtle. "Whaaaaaaaaat?!?! Coop, how did you get here?!?! How did you ever get all the way to Kalos by yourself?!?!"

Coop, the Squirtle didn't seem to let go of hugging Kjolmar tightly. Apparently the Squirtle was his and it had gone through insane lengths to get back to his trainer. "Seriously, how- Oh, never mind that. It is so good to see you! This is my new friend Olli. Olli, meet Coop." Squirtle handed Kjolmar a note and then reached his hand out towards Olli in order to shake his.

Sorry, there was no stopping him so I gave him my approval.

Many hugs later, the gang realized they had to get going. Kjolmar still had Squirtle's pokeball as he always carried it with him, but he decided to let him walk freely for a while. He couldn't help but ponder about the voice in his head earlier. Squirtle didn't have psychic powers, so who had been talking to him? "Guess what, Coop? I have caught my very first Kalos region pokemon, a Spritzee. I bet you are eager to see your old pals Aerodactyl and Emolga too. Olli, do you happen to know if there are any open spaces nearby so we can let our pokemon all come out for a few hours?"

Exploring Kalos

Kjolmar agreed. "Be safe, Olli." He had indeed gotten a lot closer to his friend over the past few days. Their pokemon seemed to bond strongly as well.

One hour later, Kjolmar waited at the route 5 exit. When Olli arrived, Kjolmar seemed glad to see his friend. "Do you have the picture? Oh my, Olli, you never guessed what happened! I made a pokemon trade with Charlotte. The Pancham I caught earlier, well, it seemed to be extremely competitive towards Charlotte's Riolu and it wanted to go with them. Riolu likes training too, so Pancham can train a lot every day. In return, her Spritzee wanted to come with me. It's adorable."

He paused for a second. "Charlotte isn't coming, however. She said she had business to take care of elsewhere but she didn't say what is was about. Is it just me, or is she starting to be more and more mysterious? She mumbled something about catching an Emboar tho. Have you ever seen an Emboar in the wild?" Kjolmar laughed.

"Speaking of... Bianca's Emboar set the lab on fire - again! I sent Panpour over there to help out with putting the fires out."

He put his hand on Olli's shoulder. "Let's go! But can I see that picture first? I'm so curious!"

Order 66 - Chapter 1

As a resident of the Republic's capital planet Coruscant, you were pleased to hear that the separatist Confederacy had lost the majority of its power when Dooku and Grievous were defeated. Despite Padmé's attempt to restore peace in the Senate, a terrible set of events occurred that changed everything. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine revealed to the jedi Anakin Skywalker that he was actually a Sith Lord. Windu's brave attempt to arrest Palpatine resulted in Windu's death and Anakin turning more and more towards the dark side. Palpatine then declared the jedi enemies of the Republic with Order 66, forcing you to either escape Coruscant or be murdered.

Relation to NPC's: Kjolmar has completed his training under the guidance of Mace Windu. Like his master, he never fully trusted Anakin. Because Windu killed Jango Fett, Kjolmar will also be targeted by the bounty hunter Boba Fett. A Padawan named Finn was assigned to train under Kjolmar.

» Windu is slain by Palpatine. Many Jedi and Younglings, including Kjolmar's Padawan Finn, are slain by Anakin.

Exploring Kalos

Kjolmar had been wondering the same thing about Olli's mention of a Lucario. He hadn't questioned it out loud but when Charlotte did, he listened carefully to his reply.

When they entered Lumiose again, Kjolmar tried to remember if he had read anything about Looker's bureau. "Hmh, hang on." He dialed Bianca's number on the holocauster but it took a while before she answered. When she did, everything around her seemed to be rather chaotic. And was that furniture on fire?

"Now is not a good time, Kjolmar. Emboar got a little overexited again and set everything on fire. The problem is that we currently don't have any water types around so we have a hard time putting out the fire manually. Why is it that you called? Make it quick!" Kjolmar frowned. If Gyarados had been there at the lab, he'd easily put the fire out. But there was no way that he'd transfer his precious Gyarados.

"Ehr, well, do you happen to know where in Lumiose that Looker's office is located?" Bianca seemed furious. "Seriously, couldn't you ask some locals? I'm trying to prevent this place from burning to the ground! Anyway, it's between North boulevard and Rouge Plaza. Now don't call me again for a few hours unless it's important!" Her image faded instantly, she had clearly turned the device off in frustration.

Kjolmar shrugged and blushed. "I guess she has a point." He started walking north. "Hey, can't we ride a Gogoat to save some time?"

Considering how slow-paced this story is going (which I am perfectly fine with to be honest), there is definitely room for more people ^^
