Kazuki let out a long sigh as the opening ceremony and staff introduction commenced.
While she did find the teachers that stepped up relatively interesting, her attention- along with her care for detail- was wandering around the quaking catacombs of her nervous heart. In no way did she looked the part of a nervous first year, but her unfocused eyes and slightly flushed cheeks leaked out quiet whispers to anyone who was sharp enough to pick them up.
All in all, Genkou Kazuki was absolutely terrified.
She let out another sigh attempting to relieve herself of the heavy feeling of nervousness that burdened her heart.
"I-If only..." she muttered silently under her breath, her dark violet bangs doing their best to hide her face as she hung her head, "I-If only Pa Pa was here."
At those words, Kazuki felt her whole body quiver in shame and dejection. H-How shameless she was! Placing her cool hands on either one of her glowing cheeks, Kazuki let out a soft whimper. It was abnormal for a girl her age to be clinging on so tightly to her father! N-Not to mention it was none of her business what he was up to or how he took care of himself!
Suddenly, the thought of her father eating another woman's cooking made her heart sink.
Then, before she knew it, the young Headmistress and her beautiful assistant had already come and gone off stage. Then the dolls arrived and began to scurry around in a flustered but organized manner. Finding herself with a sizzling pound and a half of sirloin before her, Kazuki swallowed nervously.
H-How could anyone possible eat in such a situation...
Looking to her left she found a girl muttering something shyly in Japanese and a plate of plain onigiris. It was an adorable and somewhat peaceful image.
...to her right there was a hamburger and her brunette owner.
...and the across from her was a plate of sushi and bowl of maple syrup ice-cream.
They were all rather unique choices...but perhaps they were all served to make the girls feel more at home.
Raising her knife, the bespectacled girl cut slowly and gracefully into the rare piece of meat before starting to dine under the beautiful glow of the loud and bustling dining hall.
