What up.

Proles.

EDIT: Sorry, my very special way of expressing interest.
So, the matter of where the RP will restart has arisen. We have a few options.

1. Summerhall. The great lords of westeros gather to lay out any last plans for the invasion, and be given their 'marching orders.' This seems the most clear cut start, and allows players to introduce their characters and have some say in the build up to the invasion, rather than just have it as an immediate conflict, which could remove players from it emotionally etc.

2. The Conquest. The biggest pro for this is throwing players right into the conflict, giving you lots of action to chew on. The Lannisters/Tyrells will be attack through the many passes of the Dornish Marches, while the Baratheons/Tullys/Crownlanders will be charging up the boneway. Arryn is free to put themselves in where ever, if they wish to. Starks are already sorted. This will allow for an intro post or so, before collaboration and invasion begins. High action, high intensity start.

3. The muster. There is no meeting at Summerhall, instead the lords all receive their orders by raven, after the general call to arms much earlier. First posts will be the houses responding to this, before marching off to war (or not, you stinking rebels).

So, choose ye swabs.
You can't claim all of the minor houses of the Vale, you'd control House Arryn, and make sheets for that. If your application is successful, then if anyone else wishes to make a house in the Vale then matters will be discussed with you, but you do not have god-like control of that region.
Nice, although while the identity of the key members of the guild may be hidden, you still need to write character sheets for them :)
OOC

While the OOC is already up, we're still very much looking for players to fill out the world of Westeros, the realm index in the OOc providing a list of what positions are free and which aren't. While the roleplay takes place during one of the major open conflicts of Westerosi history, the rp is still very much based on intrigue between characters, as befitting the setting. The style of the roleplay is pretty much a hybrid between a character rp and a nation rp, with players generally taking on a noble house, rather than a single character (although that is permitted) although each member should be a fully fleshed out character, at least, any which the player will be spending any major time writing about.

The standard is advanced, evidently, although quality is favored above quantity, a few paragraphs a post is expected and there is a sheet to fill out for an application, to be posted in the OOC.
So, it would appear the OP was too long, sorted.

The year is 157 AC (After/Aegon's conquest). Westeros has spent the best part of three decades rebuilding after the disastrous civil war known as 'The Dance of the Dragons.' Not only was the realm devastated in the conflict between two Targaryen claimants, but the royal dynasty's power and influence was crushed and the dragons slain or missing. In the wake of the conflict, the newly crowned Aegon III set about reinforcing Targaryen power. While there were several small isolated conflicts, this largely took place on the shadow battlefield of courtiers and agents, the young king acting with a ruthless determination born from growing up at the heart of the terrifying conflict. Eventually his younger brother, Viserys Targaryen, who had been captured by Essosi pirates during the civil war, returned to Westeros and contributed to the King's efforts, and as the years went on and Aegon slipped increasingly into depression, Viserys took on an ever larger role in running the nation, as the Hand of the King. While confidence in the Iron Throne was rebuilt, the Targaryens cannot hope to yet command the loyalty or fear they inspired prior to the Dance, not just because their dragons are no more, but because many still remember the countless fields of fire which covered the lands. This year, Aegon has died on Dragonstone, a sudden illness the official reason for his death, and his young son, Daeron, has been crowned King of the Iron Throne. Daeron may be young and headstrong, but he is not incompetent and has devised a plan to secure the place of the Targaryens above the Lords of Westeros. He sees the continued independence of Dorne as a blight on Targaryen honour and seeks to kill two birds with one stone. Crush the Dornish and win the loyalty of the continent. His banners are already called, the armies of the Iron Throne biting at the bit to be unleashed. So begins the conquest.

[*]A note on non-canon houses

Because the RP is set well before the events of the book, every single house is pretty much a player creation, with very few guidelines being put in place for force certain characters. Thus it has been decided that non-canon houses, i.e. of the player's creation, will not be accepted. All this really means is players can't create claims to territory, and have to pick an existing coat of arms.
I've tried several times to post an Advanced OOC, but it simply goes to a white screen, refreshing only asks for a 'confirm form re submission' then returns to the same blank screen.

Funnily enough, I seem to be able to post here though.
