Name: Caelyn Hanir

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Dragoon Spirit: Water

Weapon: Bardiche

Appearance:

Personality: Caelyn is very outgoing, she is not shy at all. Sometimes she can come off as very blunt. Caelyn just tells things like they are. After losing many people she has cared about, she has made it her priority to not let her thoughts linger on regret.

History: Caelyn's family came from the mountain ranges north of Midlake. She has always had an affinity for wet weather. When she was little, her family was involved in a tragic avalanche. Caelyn was dug out of the storm a week after it happened. Her parents were no where to be found. Born with black hair, something happened to her when she was trapped under all that snow. Fortunately for her she was sealed off in a cabin that allowed her to withstand the elements, or so her rescuers believe...the truth however is much more primal.
It took the villagers nearly 4 days just to reach the scene. Caelyn's family often traded with the local village. The family that rescued her was somewhat familiar with Caelyn's parents, so they decided to adopt her. After being rescued, her hair had taken on a blue hue. Caelyn underwent a type of transformation in that icy tomb. She has not spoken of it... to this day.

She has spent the latter part of her life devoting herself to her weapon-play and swims daily to stay in shape. Caelyn's foster father was an imperial guard. One day, she was playing in his study, and she came across his bardiche. The weapon seemed an extension of her arm. Her affinity with it was almost supernatural. From that day on she never put one down. Her father had one custom made for her size and as she grew, he would extend the handle.

Another part of her training was swimming. She actually holds the record for doing the most laps around Midlake without needing a break. She was taken in by a family that was part of the rescue crew that found her. The life they offered her was a rich one, and although the void left behind by her parents deaths was gaping, they did a decent job patching her up.

On her 21st birthday she set out to become worldly, and hoped to understand her natural affinity to water better. She heard of such an expert in a far away village. No one knew where the journey would lead or what she would encounter, only that she had to make it.
Hiii. Ill try and post a char soon!
blah let me edit... I see that now. im sorry. Fixed it, and I like the post better anyways! sorry again.
Caelyn wasn't one to rush in to one's aid, but it seemed this attack was going to be devastating. Falcomon made quick work of the Mushroomon she was fighting against. Impressive. Caelyn thought to himself. Hearing Bakemon shout "Soon, you'll be mine mutt!", snapped Caelyn out of his trance and back to the battle at hand. Caelyn's mind tried to formulate and a strategy that may work. "Falcomon, do you have my back?" Caelyn didn't wait for the digimon to respond, he saw that when Gavin was in danger, that his digimon powered up. He hoped he had solved that riddle correctly, because if not, it surely wasn't going to end well.

"What are you doing!?" The avian shouted behind him. Here goes nothing. Caelyn drew his sword and slashed into the beasts flesh? He hadn't realized that this particular mon was a ghost! What in the hell am I doing? It was totally out of Caelyn's comfort zone to do something selfless. No, not selfless, if this attack lands we will all be toast. We need each other. The renewed vigor found in Caelyn led his next slash. It scored a pretty solid hit. Enough to get the attention of the large creature.

Bakemon's glowing red eyes looked down at Caelyn and he felt imminent doom. He felt an attack about to bore down on him, when he looked at his digital device he had picked up, he noticed it wasn't glowing. Well that plan didn't work. Suddenly, Falcomon charged. Before Caelyn could take in the spectacle he heard her shout: Ninja Blade! The bird swooped in on the ghost digimon. I hope this is enough, or at least buys us some time. Caelyn could only hold his breath after the thought.

Then a thought hit Caelyn. "Falcomon, lets aim our attacks at the clocks, and see if they can be destroyed! I do not know if this will work, but it's all I have right now!" "Wind Blade! shouted Falcomon and the air blade zoomed right for the clock around the canine digimon. Caelyn and Falcomon both watched in anticipation to see the result.
"Elder Naginari will see you now."

Those were the words Ni had been waiting to hear. His information about his sisters assailant led him to this village. He thought maybe the Elder would have some kind of insight about who might have killed her. So upon the invitation Ni's anticipation was teaming. It seemed he wasn't the only one just a little too excited to be going to see the elder, although he knew his purpose was entirely different to be sure. But, they didn't have to know that.

"Wow, this is kind of exciting, isn't it?"
The girl within the group asked. "Yea! I wonder what he wants!" Ni coughed at his slip of being a bit too enthusiastic. But how could he not be? This day had taken so many years to fruition. He hoped this wasn't just another dead end in regards to his investigation, but he knew the honor to be called in nonetheless. Ni straightened his posture and cleared his throat and followed the woman in.
Caelyn and Falcomon used the smoke to better survey the combat area. What they saw was three mushroomon reeking havoc on Tinkermon. "Falcomon can you get over for an aerial attack?" Caelyn softly said to his new companion. She nodded and was jumping across branches in a flash. Caelyn knew he was going to hate himself for this act of bravery, but he needed these people for his own gains. "Hey, ugly fungus-heads! Over here!!" Caelyn unsheathed his sword and assumed a defensive stance. He had to trust in his new companions. Maybe this distraction would give the other members a chance to form some kind of plan. It seemed this encounter would test this group's mettle, and Caelyn was damn sure not going to fail.

In came the digimon, and Falcomon was still nowhere to be seen. Yes, it appeared Caelyn would hate himself for his stupidity after all. . .
Falcomon was already taking an approach of ranged combat, not wanting to get in close with these particular monsters. "Watch for their ranged attacks, got it! Thanks, tinkermon." Caelyn nodded in acknowledgement to the helpful creature.

"Falco, maybe show them some of your ranged attacks, but be evasive." Falcomon nodded as if already planning on staying away. The pair were so likeminded it was scary already. Caelyn just hope he could entrust this creature as much as he did. He drew his sword and watched the nearest pair of hostile digimon close in. Falcomon shouted out an attack and released some kind of smokescreen. It seemed to confuse the enemies. Caelyn felt a hand grab him and he flinched thinking he was caught, he realized it was Falcomon point up into the trees, so they ascended quickly before the smoke cleared. Falcomon held a feather over her beak and soon bamboo cylinders were dropping like bombs on the pair. They seemed unaware of the source of attack for now, but that would soon change they feared.
Dawnstar said we were giving a few days for people to finish up. Then we would toll out. :)
"Good, so it is decided. We can all make formal introductions as we go I would assume. And don't worry, we will search for food as we go. I am sure we can scrounge something up in the forest." Caelyn added with a growl of his stomach. "Looks like you aren't the only one a bit hungry!" Falcomon made a noise he hadn't heard before in agreement to Caelyn's assessment. "In any case, its only getting closer to dark. I'm thinking we need to find out answers sooner than later."

Caelyn gathered what little he had, and nodded to Falco. "Shall we?" "We shall!" The digital monster responded with a slipped amount of enthusiasm. "Falco, a little much yea?" Caelyn turned around so she couldn't see him grin. He knew if she could, she would be blushing at the blunder.
