I'd be interested.
Name: Miyu Koizumi

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Appearance

Personality: Bubbly and energetic when she has something to do, glum and miserable when shes bored. She loves action, and will do most anything to escape boredom. On top of this love for action comes her courage, and with that comes her loyalty and her need for interpersonal stimulation. Always ready to branch out and do her own thing, but smart enough to know her limits most of the time. However, her love for action can sometimes cause drastic changes in personality, as previously mentioned, almost to the point where she can become a completely different person whenever she doesn't have anything to do, becoming cold and bossy even to her companions. On the flip side, some combat scenarios could cause her to reach a state of sadistic euphoria, due to her need for movement and love of combat.

Skills: Impeccable accuracy with her rifle, she is able to control her movements and focus on any goal even in the chaos of battle. She is very agile, and this, coupled with her bravery in battle, allows her to be a feared opponent. Her loyalty allows her to work in the group's best interests, even when she has to make a personal sacrifice to do so. Can also cook and is handy with her fists.

Equipment: A sturdy, but precise, laser rifle that gives her the ability to fight whenever and wherever.

Brief Backstory: Born into a very wealthy and large family with a good deal of political influence, it was clear from birth that Miyu was different from both her peers and her kin. Never one to sit around, she preferred exploring anywhere she could when she was young, even if it got her into trouble. As she grew older, she grew more distant from her parents and other relatives, and began to hang around with a much tougher crowd. Her parents, who gave her anything she wanted, tried to get her back on a more sensible lifestyle, but to no avail. At the age of 18 she left home and cut ties with her family. Throughout the years, she's learned many skills, but has exhausted many of her opportunities. She figured that the next logical step was to conquer the stars, thus, she joined the pirate crew.

Position in Crew: Gunner

I was about to respond to this, but then this happened. and I just started laughing out loud. Tell you what. Can we be done now?

*slow clap*

What a brilliant fucking ad hominem we have here. Instead of actually posing a viable counter-argument, you decide the best course of action would be to simply post a snarky remark taking a direct jab at the person who disagrees with you. Then again, I suppose you don't have many legs to stand on in this argument, so actually responding in an appropriate manner would be "too hard".

I offer you this:
Isn't an abortion forcing your will on someone else's body to satisfy your needs?

Buddy, there's a big difference between controlling another fully developed individual and controlling an under-developed, essentially parasitic organism whose development is already controlled by you.

I get it if you yourself don't want an abortion, but don't try to subjugate other people.
I'm pro-choice. I don't care if your morals go against it. If you try to force your beliefs in a way that would require women to relinquish control of THEIR OWN BODY to satisfy your own wants, that is despicable. Pregnancy is incredibly taxing on a woman's body, and to REQUIRE her to bear a child she doesn't want, and then make her go through an incredibly painful experience is just plain wrong and nasty.

It isn't your body, why should you care?
Go ahead and post, I've been busy with school this entire week, so I can't be that active right now.

As for Atheism not being a religion: I'm going to argue that is.
I have heard that "Not collecting cards isn't a hobby", but not collecting stamps is simply stating the hobby you /don't/ have.
Atheism is to religion what 'sitting around doing nothing' is to hobbies, or what 0 is to numbers.
Also, it's not like Atheists don't believe anything. To be an Atheist you have to consciously believe that deities don't exist.

If you look at the word "atheist", you see the word 'theist' and the prefix 'a-'. An atheist is someone who is not a theist. So saying you are atheist mans you don't follow any theistic ideals of a god. Like how you say 'asymptomatic', which means you are without symptoms. Likewise, to call an asymptomatic person ill would be like calling an atheist religious without any further knowledge of that person. Sure, there can be religious atheists, just like how asymptomatic persons can be ill, but to call atheism a religion is wrong.

Atheism is a religion if abstinence is a sex position.

(P.S: The reason why atheists don't believe in a god is that there is no evidence that can prove one)
