The food actually sounded awfully good. Even if it was technically a simple meal, it was something that Elizabeth was partial to. However, when she ate she was often alone. It was getting to be a bit much, and it reminded herself of previous days when she was always alone due to her pride. Even with all she had been through, was she but the same? She had not befriend the other students, and barely knew their names. However, perhaps companionship itself was important in itself, and even if they did not approach her own intellect, perhaps the others would prove to be ambitious in smaller ways.

"Do you mind if I join you?" Elizabeth said to Mystique.

It would have been an odd thing to hear, as Elizabeth had never socialized with her for very long.

Solomon knew he could not trust this hunk of metal to protect his battle-sister. FM said he would not let any of them die, but he could not believe the words of one so silly.

"You mentioned weapons?" Solomon said.

Solomon had not had sufficient experience to call himself a warrior, but he hoped he would be able to defeat the monsters with sword and sorcery, no matter the limit to which Solomon had mastery over them.

This sounded unfair according to what he had heard from his fellows but a moment ago. There was one who had called herself a pacifist and a healer. Now, Solomon was unsure what exactly pacifist meant in this instance, and he was unsure if conscientious objection extended to monsters, but what he did know was that he was going to defend the beliefs of his peer. In a moment they would all be battle-brothers, closer even than family, forged together by the bond that only battle can forge.

"Sir, the pacifist," Solomon said. "She cannot battle alone."
