Bio

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to my profile page! The name's Zeratul2k though most people find that to be a mouthful and just call me Zera. I have been on the guild for quite a while, though I've had my hiatus periods due to writer's block, life drama or (last time I was gone) overworking. I don't do many RPs since I'm not a stable poster because of said job, preferring 1x1's where people are warned that I might only post once or twice a day some weeks, while others I pretty much reply within minutes of receiving a reply. I enjoy all things fantasy, sci-fi and modern, and am always willing to try out new things. I prefer to play males as my main, though, since I'm a guy, but I can play females too (but only when doubling). Oh, and smut, don't forget the smut, though I also need lots of plot or I get bored pretty easily. And last but not least, send me a message if you have an idea you want to play out!

Hello! Still have space for someone else?
Jason shrugged at Jacque's comments, swinging the sword ahead of himself as he walked, as if checking the balance. It was surprisingly light for its size, yet very sturdy. He wondered if maybe it was a titanium alloy, before his train of thought shifted to the question of how Warden was able to manipulate it. He looked back at Jacque as they kept walking. "Ours is a race of warriors, Jacque. We grow complacent and lazy in times of peace, so we need war every now and then to advance ourselves." He said, spinning the blade on his hand. He seemed to be pretty skilled with it, despite not looking like a guy that could pass for a soldier or an athlete. "It's how we've achieved our current tech level and how we'll keep advancing it. Besides... I'm sure you've noticed, but we humans are very squishy, individually. As a race, though... you just don't mess with a population with centuries of knowledge on how to best kill things."
Ace stepped back from the shuttle as Wrenchie announced that the work was done and gave a nod of approval. The flight parameters he had inputted seemed to be working properly, at least on the simulations he had requested Dora to run. He was sure that if he crashed and died he would have quite a few choice words to tell the ship's computer. He then headed to his locker at the hangar, he had placed all of the things he thought he would need for a shuttle mission in there just so that they were readily available. He quickly put on his flight suit, making sure to leave his revolver on the outside of it. THAT was a mistake he would never make again, specially since it had made high-g maneuvering very uncomfortable. When he was sure everything was ready he headed into the shuttle, sitting in the cockpit, placing his SMG on a secure shelf next to him and putting on his russian tank helmet before starting the procedure to "wake up" the vessel.

He was done quickly, the engines starting with an electrical sound before the nozzles lit up with a dim blue glow from the thrust system coming online. "Ace here on the shuttle, primary systems are go, secondary are all green. We're ready for departure, tovarish captain." He said into the intercomm, faking a russian accent. He grinned and turned around, looking towards the cargo/passenger bay. "Let's go, bratishka!" He yelled back at them. It was something Ace did quite often, using old russian terms, just like his helmet, when out on a mission. The ship he had been born and raised in had a high number of old russians, mostly war veterans so he had picked up a thing or two from them.
Oh, Jason is not afraid to kill people, all right. He's just feeling kinda naked with none of his usual equipment around.
Jason looked at Warden as she walked up to him, smiling as she presented him with the sword. He took it from her and nodded, placing his hand on her head and petting her. "Thanks a lot, Warden, this will do nicely." He said with a nod before looking at Jacque. "Yeah, let's go." He said, waving his free hand at the others while heading for the exit. He walked in front, examining the gladius as he walked and the material it was made off. "This is so interesting... I wish I had my equipment, see what can be done with this material."
Jason took a good long look at the ship's schematics, committing them to memory before standing up and looking around the bridge at anything he could use. He found a pad and, after connecting it to the captain's console, decided to take it along with him. He looked at Marcus as he said what they should do and crossed his arms. He wasn't comfortable taking orders from someone else, but figured it was better to play it safe for now and not make any enemies. "I would be more comfortable having a weapon or two on hand." He said, his gaze lingering on each of them before he looked at Marcus again. "You all seem to have... abilities, to help in a fight. Not me, though." He said with a nod.
Sorry about the hiatus, I've been hella busy. This is still open, yes, so you're welcome to make a CS.
Ryuu raised his pistol at Daiki, but when he saw the difference in firepower he sighed and shook his head. "You know, Ageha, THIS is why I keep guns around. Somebody's gotta keep the order." He said with a sigh. He had heard and read that a long time ago, it had been possible to use much more advanced weapons, but he figured that was just some sci-fi nut that really knew how things were supposed to work. As much weapon knowledge as Ryuu had, though, it was limited to modern weaponry. Too bad he had decided to leave his compact CTAR-21 Tavor in the council office after being nagged to do so.
As Ace sat down on the shuttle's cockpit, detaching one of the pads and working with it, he got a text message from Nafi through the ship's comms. He raised an eyebrow, wondering where she had gone. "Nafi, we're in the hangar at the back of the ship, we're just starting work on the shuttle already." He said, the voice message being sent over the comms to Nafi's location. He wondered for a moment why the girl had gone towards the airlock. He figured that maybe she knew something they didn't, maybe one of the components for the modification he needed would need to be handled in zero g.

Ace emerged from the cockpit, holding a pad that he had linked to the shuttle's computer. "Flying is my life, man!" He said with a grin. He made a few more adjustments, then moved to help Wrenchie with the removal of the wings, making a few notes on the pad and changing flight parameters as they worked. As Wrenchie turned his attention to the hydraulic and fuel lines, he started running diagnostics and changing even more parameters. He was gladly surprised at how easy it was to customize the shuttle's software, the computer and its software were almost as powerful as the ship's, only missing the AI. He thought for a moment, wondering if maybe, just maybe, he could have Dora (as he had named the ship's AI) on the shuttles as well.

He looked up from the pad as Wrenchie asked if he really wanted the wings gone, and he nodded at him, before absentmindedly pointing at the second shuttle. "There's always the backup shuttle if anything goes wrong, but I'm confident we'll have this up and running in no time." He said with a nod before looking down at the pad again. "And really, flying without wings isn't anything to call home about... it isn't like wings have much effect when flying on zero g." He said before stopping and looking up at Wrenchie again. "have you ever been on a mining colony? They use artificial gravity across the whole mining complex so that small rocks and other debris poses less of a threat, so when a shuttle of cargo ships approaches the colony, it's pretty much the same as this, flying without wings." He said with a shrug, just to explain why he was so confident this would work.
It was a ricochet and I figure as painful as it is, they don't sweat it too much since they know they'll just "get better" :p
