Right, here we go, have your game's Karate Kid except it's another major part of asian martial arts culture instead.

Ah, suppose I should post here, hello I am this group's resident violence expert and will probably definitely maybe make a character who'll be very very good at martial arts and if I do it'll come with a bunch of kickpunch lore to boot.
Soooo uh, what are people's character ideas while we wait for updates?

For a hero I'm thinking of a secret agent type that specializes in countering anything that can be construed as a martial arts menace, be it ninja clans, crazy kung fu cults, revived ancient warriors and the like. He'll technically be head of his own official division except he's the only one there, and because it's such a specific field and he's the guy you call when your Iron Fists and Bronze Tigers are busy he has a load of spare time he doesn't know what to do with on his hands.

Not sure what I'd do for a villain but leaning towards a crusty old master with a very Lady Shiva like personality and reputation, who could and indeed has retired ages ago but keeps on coming back because his incredibly long life is otherwise way too boring and he knows nothing else but getting into life or death fistfights.
I do want a fun superhero thing, have been watching old Venture Bros eps and it's nice to move away from Another FOTM Hero Movie Game or what have you. Tossing my hat in the ring, almost certainly with an actual martial artist too.
@Holy Soldier
Cool, in case you missed it I'll repeat I'll take a discord invite.

As for this whole "drama" thing, man, relax, this is absolutely nothing, why threaten to kick active players already? Especially with how RPs tend to lose people, it just seems like self sabotage to immediately do away with two over simple questions.

You seem to take pride in your GMing skills so you probably know players kinda enjoy having things to do and that's generally the GM's job, if you marked your post for interactions as the GM and a player feels they didn't get much to actually do in response that's something to consider. Communicating with the players is a pretty big part of RPs too, innit?
@Zero HexThe reason why you don't go posting a CS to the character thread without permission is because as a GM, you could have told someone to fix that one thing and instead, they fix that one thing and tweak and add other things they had been wanting to add at the last minute. That is why.

Alright, which is why I told you I changed other details. Point taken obviously but still, you say there's one insignificant problem, I change it, we're good right? The original CS is still up and untouched, so a once-over would be enough for a GM to compare and tell if the player is being dishonest or not. And I'm not.
@Holy Soldier
I mean, you were the one who said the only problem was the ki color and I changed no real important information or combat bits on the edit, just fine tuned the details to make them more sensical to what I wanted to play. Figured it was fine just letting you know, but fair enough.

Oh yeah since I have your attention, I'll join the discord if I can get an invite and I forgot to mention I'm fine with PVP but feel it's best if we don't get bogged down on a bunch of 1v1s early on, that can really kill a game's pacing in my experience.
@Holy Soldier
Well I always considered the basic ki color more transparent/clear than white, but sure I called it white and posted it over on characters. I changed the appearance and backstory slightly to adjust to what I wanted to convey but the character remains the same overall.
Yoooo @Holy Soldier, I'm still around if you still have room, I'm slow at making characters but better about posting rhythm.
