Current Name Layla
Age 5095

AppearanceBorn with a dark tint to her skin along with purple marks on her face her appearance has always attracted attention from others. For better or worse throughout her life it must be said. Her hair has always been silver for as long as she can remember along with a pair of icy blue eyes. Her lips have always had that distinct tint of purple, but with the invention of makeup it's never seemed out of place.
On an everyday basis she wears robes or little of anything where she lives under Lake Tahoe. While on the surface she normally keeps her colour hidden or at least toned down to more easily blend in with the natives of the lands. She tends to follow somewhat with the trends of fashion and clothing, not wanting to look too out of place.

Relationship Status: Single
Sexuality: Pansexual, yet asexual
Partner: None
Pet/s: None
Other: Has had too many partners and children that she can barely remember them all. She has it all written down in a ledger to keep track of her descendants to see how they fare in the world.
~Personal Information~
Personality: Layla feels disconnected from the world as a whole. Throughout her life she has experiences pretty much everything there is to find in it. She has experienced almost everything from being a god to being a homeless person. A prostitute to a wealthy noblewoman. To the founder of the pre-Greek civilization to the destroyer of the Mayans. She has nothing left she wants in this life so she isolates herself on the bottom of the lake.
There is one thing that always gets her going though. After the invention of the Radio and later on the TV, she sits glued to them, always on the hunt for the latest show to come on. Despite living under the lake she can take in every single station in the world and she greedily does so.
Part from that she finds little enjoyment in the world as a whole. Sometimes she does experiments and cause a few events to cure her boredom. The creation of the vampires and werewolfs is one such example. So see what her new "children" could accomplish in this world.
Layla does not see time as most do. A few hundred years is nothing to her, a millenia passes quickly. Although she'll be bored beyond belief, time, is not something she cares too much about. Thus she tends to be pretty bad at keeping the time, especially for appointments. Sometimes she has been years late for meeting up with friends.
She has one more passion though, and that is to record the world's history. Her house basically is a massive library which very few know or are allowed to enter. Layla will always seek out new information about the world's events and happenings along with keeping track of her descendants, numberless as they seem.
Skills:
- Linguistic: Layla can speak and read almost every language in the world along with many, many lost ones. The knowledge on how to speak them all remain inside of her library.
- Musical: Due to her long life she has mastered pretty much every instrument along with many different tones of singing which sometimes can be picked up if you've got a sonar going in the Lake.
- Potion Making: She finds some enjoyment in making up different potions and cocktails in her house, but after having tried pretty much everything it does get quite dull.
- Weapon Mastery: After living so long a girl needs a hobby. She can use most weapons efficiently or at least partially when it comes to close quarter combat.
- Knowledge: Knows or has access to pretty much all collected knowledge in the world, stored away in her library.
Abilities
- Mastery of Magic: Layla has the ability to cast every spell in the book. She wrote it after all. The long years of practicing magic has made her extremely quick to cast even the most intricate and layered spell within seconds. This is probably her most powerful ability since she can layer and weave spell after spell into each other neither does she need materials and can draw the circles in thin air, or even do nothing if it's a weaker spell.
- The great book of Magic: Layla has a Great book of Magic in her library which she knows by heart and can recall every single spell flawlessly along with making up her own as she goes. Since she knows the spells she can extract what she wants from them and use them for other means.
- Blood Magic: In the worst case she can drain the mana, or life from living things. It's not a practice that she likes to do, but will do if needs be. She can also transfer life from one to another. Or use blood or a life to change certain things in a person, for better or worse.
- Fitness: Layla is not the stupid which who does not train their body. The fitter you are, the more magic you can produce, or at least to a limit. That and along with being able to fight both with weapons and with magic makes a big difference in a real battle. Along with one other thing very important to any spellcaster; the ability to run away if things turn sour.
Biography:Born in the upper Egyptian region shortly before Egypt was unified into a single country. The different tribes laying away their differences and coming together as one, after a military conquest. It was during the reign of Narmer that she was born. Layla was born into the royal household by one of the king's mistresses and was hailed as a divine being due to her colouring. Not long after being born she displayed signs of being able to use magic. The lines on her face glowing slightly every now and then.
Narmer took this as a sign and named her Isis, hailing her as the god taking physical form and used this to his advantage when he launched his conquest of the southern region. When the rulers of the south heard that the god Isis had taken physical form in the northern region they quickly dismissed it as lies, but the common folk did not. They fled before the armies of Narmer and the now child Isis as she displayed her magic.
The country was quickly unified as Narmer became the first unified Pharaoh of Egypt and claimed that he was a descendant from Horus. How else could a god be born from him? His reign was a long one until he finally passed and Hor-Aha took over and thus the line of divine kings was established.
Layla was already 43 by this time. She was married and had two children by a man they called Osiris. Osiris was not long for the world though as he was assassinated by the new king, seeing him as a threat to his rule. However he did not dare to lay a finger on Layla or her children, but she was banned from ever marrying again or having children. She did not complain and instead raised her children to her utmost capability.
As the years went by she saw her children aging past her. Layla herself only looked like she was in her mid 20's when her children was past 50 when the king finally passed and she was released from her imprisonment. The joy was not long for this world though as her children passed soon after from an unknown disease.
She alone lived. Everyone she had known when she was young had passed. Layla realised that she would live for a very long time and made up her mind to become the God that the people wanted and needed and changed her hair into that of a throne to symbolise Isis and walked out of the palace.
Layla used her magic to create a temple for herself in which she could practice her magic while healing those who came to her. If there was a drought she would call down rain from the heavens. But she could not always control her powers to the full extent that she wanted to. Fearful that they had angered the goddess in the temple the Egyptians started bringing her offerings. She turned away the first ones but they kept pouring in and she had no choice but to accept.
As Pharaohs came and went, centuries passed, and Layla still had the same appearance. Her children came and went. Their children, their children's children and many more all died before her. She cursed her destiny and eventually left Egypt and travelled to what would become Greece. She found squabbling tribes and decided to unify them, making herself the head of the tribe. A matriarchal system was implemented since she had seen how the kings had ruined her beloved Egypt.
Time went by and she stepped down from ruling and secluded herself on a mountain. She named it Olympos and built a house in stone and marble for herself where she would reside until a young warrior came and swore that she would become his bride. Amused she gave him a few tasks to complete and dismissed him. However he managed to complete the tasks before age took him. Surprised Layla, bestowed a new life on the man along with naming him Zeus.
Her magic caused him to live long and granted him some limited magical powers. As time went by though he became increasingly debauched. Laying with beast and women alike, giving impregnating many a lady. Infuriated by his betrayal Layla recalled the magic cast upon him and he withered and passed. But the legends of Zeus debauched ways continued. Layla created a wall around the mountain, blocking anyone's entry and began to pour her soul into studying magic and the history of the world. She wrote everything down in book after book until her house was filled with books.
Centuries passed and the invasion of the Romans began and she left the mountain in search for new adventures. The library remained with her in a separate dimension that her magic had conjured. Her travels took her across Europe. She kept on wandering until she came across the atlantic ocean. By now a few hundred years had passed and she had collected every single scrap of knowledge that she could find in the lands.
She decided to make the journey across the waters and thus began to walk. Step after step she walked across the ocean, studying the wildlife as she went. She finally arrived in was she knew to be the Mayan kingdoms and set up shop there. She raised a pyramid for her to live in and ever so slowly people started approaching this mysterious place and a city was eventually formed around it. She shared her knowledge sparingly, knowing what it's effects had on people.
Time went by and the people became increasingly warlike and corrupt from her knowledge. Layla decided to end it and caused draughts and natural disasters to cause the population to move north. She would force them to work together or they would perish. It seemingly worked as the Mayans set aside some of their differences and most of them survived. This was until the Spanish came, but that's another story.
By this era she was in Europe, living a wealthy life from the gold she brought back with her. She indulged in every single enjoyment in life. Eating exotic foods, laying with what she could, drinking herself stupid. This lifestyle along with sinking deep into knowledge hunting. Word came across to the Spanish that someone from across the sea had came to Europe with more gold than what the eyes could count and they launched their conquest of the "New world."
She stayed around for a few more centuries, meeting important figures and learning from them. She never stayed in one place for too long though. People were getting more and more rejecting of differences so she remained on a moving foot. Eventually she grew bored of this life, as she had done many times before and decided to relocate to the deserts of the region to be known as Nevada.
Layla lived as a hermit for many, many years until she decided that the world sucked, along with most people in it and wandered down into the lake. She parted the waves and summoned a residence for herself. She spent most of her time sitting in quiet meditation as her magic allowed her to see across the world. The revolutions, religious wars, greed, it disgusted her, but she did not care either. She had seen those things before across her many millennia of living. She had grown numb to the world. Neither did she leave her sanctuary very often.
This is still the way she lives, but with the advent of radio and Tv, her sessions of meditating are never without life as her eyes are glued to the TV to catch the latest drama. There is one thing she finds worth enjoying, and that's always a good story.
