A loose plot. Yes. It doesn't have to be super intricate. Perhaps Drake, with Delsin's experience in being sucked into a computer or whatever, might actually give him the ability to figure it out as he has some experience with this kind of thing. I think he should slow down a little, but I also think he'd be the best one to figure it out. Kind of like how LoZ has a loose plat. We know kind of where it's going, but we don't know how it's going to get there and there are still a lot of playable variables.

I want to pass an idea by everyone. It entails the possible ending of this roleplay. I was thinking that, at some point after we figure out what's going on and all get out of the simulated world, we are brought to the real world (as our selected characters) and defeat whoever is responsible for the whole thing. We'd all want to return to our separate games or stay in the real or whatever, but we'd need a way back. I was thinking, by then, Wheatley will have his stuff somewhat together and send everyone (who wants to go) back to where they came from (and I can imagine that making some changes to certain circumstances would be manageable as I'm sure characters like Terra and even Wheatley himself would want to go back and turn things around). It's a little confusing, rereading it, but that's as good as I can put it without writing a book.
