As the girl approached, a low rumble instinctively emitted from the fox. Every muscle in her limbs tensed as she stepped back into a defensive stance. The fading light flashed on her sharp little teeth as her lip curled up in a jagged snarl. In a flash, the fox bolted past the girl and straight for the bloody deer carcass. Snapping her tiny jaw onto the leg of the deer, she gave a powerful tug ripping part of the flesh loose. The gold in her eyes held a sinister sheen as she yanked the limb again.
((Hello, may i join? If so, should i assume i have been in the class the whole time during the poisoning, or wandered into the scene?))

A pair of golden eyes blinked in the striated shadows of a patch of weeds. Despite the depth of shadow, the compact, snowy figure was clearly visible. The fox's coat seemed to glow in the stark contrast of the darkness, but her feet were spattered with a black mud. Scanning the streets, her eyes focused on the two characters dividing the deer in the street.
((Goodnight! Thanks for letting me join. I kind of start off slow as i get a feel for my character. Next time i will be sure to be a more dynamic.))
The word sunk into Zoe's mind as the images of frozen faces leapt from her memory. "Undead." Her voice was barely a whisper though it held no trace of her fear. It sounded almost resigned. Of course, this was some sort of punishment for what she had done. It would be that death would find her even after she had left it near that fierce and unforgiving summit. "How...how is this possible?"
Zoe pushed herself up from her awkward sprawl on the ice with her axe and looked up at Drac. "And what kind of being is that?" Her voice was beginning to return to her, and any fatigue she had felt earlier was gone as the adrenaline of fear coursed through her veins.
As soon as Zoe felt the ground give beneath her, she swung her pick axe in front of her gripping it with both hands. Pushing her body against the axe she silently hoped it would find the ice wall. Not daring to open her eyes, she felt as if she was not moving at all. A red searing shape pervaded the back of her eyelids causing her to open them in alarm. "What...what just happened?" Finding herself in Drac's arms, she attempted to scramble from his grip and tripped back to the snow. "Which part of that was real?"
((Night))
Zoe stepped back in an attempt to avoid the snowball. With a sickening scraping sound, her foot missed the purchase of the ice and plummeted into a hidden crevasse. In a flash she vanished into its depths.
Zoe kicked her toe spikes into the snow flicking the white powder up and over. The points along her sole made soft metallic noises as they met with the solid ice below. Usually the movement would become almost robotic after the the first few meters, but her newly acquired companions seemed to practically float over the snow and her it was hard to concentrate with the oppressive duo behind her. She couldn't stand this unknown any longer; turning on her heels, Zoe faced Drac and Micheal. "What is going on here? Even the most experienced Sherpas have struggled with loads and snow depth at this level." Her heart beat quickened with the anticipation of the confrontation, but it was her habit to ask questions she didn't want answers to.
