Morgan Droud

Name: Morgan Droud

Age: 18

Appearance: Morgan is a young man with gender neutral features, violet eyes, pale skin, and silver, shoulder length hair often tied back in a ponytail.

Bio: Morgan's father was a citizen of the empire, while his mother was from the Grand Dutchy. The two died when he was a child, and much of his time since then was spent travelling, not just through his own homeland, the Empire, but the Dutchy, his mothers, as well. Along his journey he met many people, and learned many things, awakening his vessel at some point along the way. Many years after starting his journey, he encountered someone heading for the Academy, and after following them there, soon found himself joining.

Vessel: Morgan refers to his Vessel as Arcanus, the name given by a man who saved his life while he was traveling. Under normal circumstances, it seems to possess left eye, causing it to turn completely black and blinding it. In it's second form, he regains his full vision as Arcanus fuses with his body, becoming a black fog, and changing his appearance, causing him to fade, becoming slightly transparent.

Abilities:
-Form Seer-
Form Seer blinds Morgan in one eye, causing it to turn completely black, but allowing him to sense everything in a 10 meter radius.

-Form Wraith-
Form Wraith causes Morgan to turn ethereal, a thick black mist emanating off of him, and causing all objects non-magical in nature to pass through him harmlessly. Because of this, he is unable to interact with objects around him, and for an unknown reason, he is incapable of passing through walls.

-Form Grimoire-
Form Grimoire appears as a large black book, with silver runes upon its binding and cover. Morgan can transfer himself and anyone both in contact with him and with the intent to enter, to a false reality within the book. Time passes normally while in the false world, and Morgan can create any object he is familiar with while in the false reality. Morgan can send anyone be brings in out at any time, but once he leaves anyone he brought with him is ejected as well. All object created within the world cannot be removed, though objects from the outside remain in the state which they were in as they entered.

Equipment: a long black coat, pair of flintlocks, Arcanus

Trivia:

• Morgan almost always wears a black coat, passed down to him by his father.
• His guns were a gift from the same man who named Arcanus, two modified flintlock pistols.
  • His primary pistol has a basic cartridge system, allowing him to fire up to three shots before reloading.
  • His backup pistol would better be referred to as a hand cannon, capable of piercing up to 3 cm of steel, but near impossible to accurately aim. Also, anyone in the vicinity will likely be deaf for about a minute after firing due to the explosion.
• Despite his constant traveling, Morgan has very little stamina.

Personality: Lore is very quiet, conversing very little with anyone, and Morgan is no exception. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, the two get along very well, and due to Lore's knowledge and Morgan's travels, the two enjoy the rare lengthy conversations they share.

Powers:
-Telepathy-
Normally, Lore speaks by sharing her thoughts with an individual, in a form of telepathy.

-Shapeshift-
Lore has basic shapeshifting capabilities, capable of freely transfiguring herself, but is growing larger than about 2 meters, and no matter what form she takes, her eyes remain the same color as her normal form.

In its standard form, while possessing his left eye, he gains the ability to sense everything in a 30 meter radius around him, and as his ethereal form give his abilities similar to a ghost, as most objects pass through him, though vessels and other arcane objects are unaffected by this. He is incapable of passing through floors and walls however, and cannot open doors.

I made a few modifications, but I checked, and my pistol ideas work. No matter the world, there's always someone pushing the boundaries of modern technology, and it just means that Morgan's using what's essentially experimental works.

If it doesn't work though, I can trade them for standard issue ones.

I'm here from the recent interest check, and would love to join in the future, but I have a quick question before I finish my CS.

Do Vessels have to be objects? Because my idea was that the normal form changed my character's left eye,causing it to turn completely black, allowing him to sense everything in a 30 meter radius around him.

There's a few questions I need to ask you so I can finish my character sheet for this. I may be just a little obsessed with details, but if it's possible can you help me out?

First, does this world have a more standard form of magic? Or are vessels the only real "Power" in this world?

Is there an age limit for the academy?

And what's the civilization level of the world? Do firearms exist, or is warfare based on knights and footmen?

It was warm. Too warm.

Morgan always kept the apartment he lived in at exactly 70 degrees, for a variety of reasons. Right now though, it was far too hot, and he could feel the burning rays of the sun, something he only vaguely remembered from the few moments he was forced to go outside.

As he opened his eyes, he was met with a vast stretch of sand, and the roar of the ocean. He stared at the water for a moment before standing and moving back a bit, to the shade cast by a nearby tree. He spared a quick glance at a nearby cliff, before he noticed the proximity of a second individual, a girl lying nearby on the sand.

After thinking for a moment, he dragged her over to the shade as well.

He doubted she was dead, their current circumstances being a little too strange to have come about normally, and whatever was going on, be it a mass kidnapping, (He felt that was a little unlikely), an other world summoning, (a little less likely), a dream (no chance, but he felt it was best to go through all possible ideas), or something else entirely, he felt it was best to ensure all possible resources were available.

The tree did little to cool him down, but he preferred grass over sand, so he remained in its slightly less scorching shade as he collected his thoughts.
